Monday a KHOU Channel 11 crew met with Chemtrail Tracking USA Club co-founders Lorie and Dona of Houston and member Rhonda from Ft. Worth, as well as other local members of the Yahoo! based club for the taping of a story on Chemtrails and public concern over their purpose and health impact. Reporter Ron Travino and cameraman Nathan visited for several hours at the house of Lorie, taping, talking, asking questions, and viewing photos and videos. No date has been set for air of the story, but it is anticipated in May. You can show support for the story by contacting Channel 11 (Houston, TX) at 11listens@khou.com . Update 5/8/2000: Channel 11 reporter Ron Travino is coming back to do more interviews for the story. Looks like they are getting the story ready for prime time.  KABC acknowledged receiving several calls about a ring, visible around the sun, in the Los Angeles area for over six hours on Sunday. During the 11 o'clock weather forecasters reported that the sunring was due to "perfect meteorological conditions, and dust in the air". The station broadcast an image of the sunring during the news which included a visible "fat Chemtrail" according to Rick M. of Los Angeles. But, according to the University of Illinois Light and Optics pages, 22 and 46 degree 'halos' around the sun are only created by suspended ice crystals.

 A great loss to all of us in the Chemtrail Community, Houston DJ and Chemtrail Warrior, Chuck Shramek sloughed-off his mortal coil early this morning in his sleep. I credit Chuck and his website with introducing me to the Chemtrail Phenomena, and I thank him for that. Lorie, a close friend, said of him, "Those of you who knew him, know we have lost a friend and a valiant fighter for truth. Those of you who didn't know him, know his battle was for you as well, even though you'd never met...The world will not be the same anymore, now that he's gone. We were blessed to have him with us, he will be greatly missed." Here's to you, Chuck, in the Great Father Sky. He is survived by his wife Kathryn and son David.

 FOX News in Phoenix has collected hours of interview footage in preparation for an upcoming news story featuring public reaction to this continuing phenomenon. The story will include interviews by reporter Bruce Dunbar with Chemtrail activist Sid Pennington as well as Michael, the operator of Ultramedia, who has used his Internet multimedia skills to raise awareness of the spraying. The obligatory establishment position will be represented by a meteorologist. The story is set for air on Sunday, July 9 on Channel 10 during the 9 o’clock evening news.

The Ron Engelman Program, broadcast out of Albuquerque, NM, is devoting a special show to the discussion of Chemtrails. Ron has been receiving many calls from listeners reporting sightings.  The coverage of the public reaction to the Chemtrail Phenomena continues as KOIN 6 News of Portland, Oregon releases the latest local news story. This report includes an interview with Portland radio talk show host Mary Starrett, who has received dozens of calls about the trails on her KPDQ radio show.  The central Florida Fox affiliate WOFL broadcast the latest Chemtrail story on 7/16 during the 10pm news. Floridian David Allen reported that "They presented many photographs and had a few experts on both sides of the issue. It was typical media fare, but it was there." One interesting bit that was reportedly discussed was the fact that normal contrails don't rain down particles. This is at least the 6th local news report covering Chemtrails preceeded by Memphis, Houston, Austin, Portland and Phoenix.

 Citizens Against Chemtrails U.S. is sounding the call for Congressional hearings on Chemtrails and are collecting petition signatures. This grassroots organization with representives from 17 states wants to educate others about what is happening in our skies, and seeks answers about who is responsible for Chemtrails and their purpose. The Aid & Abet Police and Military Newsletter is doing a story on Chemtrails to get the message out to all our fine men and women in the force and in the service. The 20 year old newsletter is published by Jack McLamb, a highly-decorated retired Phoenix police officer. Jack relayed that "Some of our peers in the military, that have already asked questions, have been told: keep this quiet, but the American people have been subjected to bio-warfare and we (the government) are healing them without their knowledge!" Dr. Stephen Halpern an internationally acclaimed composer, recording artist, author and educator with over 4 million albums sold worldwide, has been documenting Chemtrail activity in Marin County, California. Halpern says "the extent of the contrails and the way they lingered and spread over the area after they appeared was not something usually observed." Read more...

 Marty Bass, reporter, weathercaster and co-anchor of the WJZ-13 morning show "Rise 'n Shine" in Baltimore, has been discussing Chemtrails this week and has invited Chemtrail activist Harry Hagedorn, known online as Orange Fuzzy, to discuss Chemtrails on the show. Marty is skeptical, but has an open mind and wants to air the issue and let people make up their own minds.

 Congressman Dennis Kucinich of Ohio has introduced bill HR2977, the "Space Preservation Act of 2001", in which Chemtrails are classified as an exotic space weapon. Click here to read the text of the proposed law. Bill is currently in subcommitee and has not yet come to a vote.

 Miami TV producer Diana Reed is investigating Chemtrails for the local FOX affiliate WSVN.
