OWS Tornado Outbreak Watch TUES/WED Plains

A longwave trough pattern over the Intermountain West looks like it will happen Tuesday into Tuesday Night. This pattern is the exact same pattern that sparked the EF5 Greensburg, Kansas tornado.
My preliminary thinking is that this pattern will produce another tornado outbreak. Temperature profiles will be sufficient enough to allow storms to go through most of the night, into Early Wednesday Morning.
If this low level jet strengthens overnight, we could see shear values in the violent stages yet again. Something to watch out for. I do have the outlines below on areas I expected the worst Tornado Dynamics. Watching for the Central/Northern Kansas areas, as well as the Oklahoma/Texas Panhandle.
Additional dynamics, and deep layer shear looks possible for some good rotation, and possibly deadly tornadoes in the Southern Texas area as well, near or along the I-10. Truckers need to note this event. If you have family that are going to be driving through these parts on Tuesday Night/Wednesday Morning before sunrise, make sure you let them know.
I do believe the Oklahoma City area is safe from this overnight event.

Dude, again, you know nothing. Don't try to challange me on weather. You won't go anywhere. Go to school man.
Anyhow, my concern is in Kansas as marked, so that is CENTRAL.
Enough of you. _________________ "Weather is like a cookbook and you need all the ingredients to make the perfect meal".

another quote from kevin today....
I have self taught everything I know. I have certain disorders, and was diagnosed a weather savant. Have never learned, or want to learn from a college or institution.

kevin why would you want him to go to school if you yourself have found truth through self taught? |

Because I have paid my dues. I was hit by lightning, and I saved lives Tornado Chasing. I own the Ontario Weather Service, which is a very respected forecasting center. I don't just sit here. I go out, and research the events. I didn't like him thinking my forecast was wrong. He will be wrong saying Northern, for tomorrrow. Going to be nearly IDENTICAL to the Greensburg tornado dynamics with dynamics lining up for a tornado outbreak tomorrow/night _________________ "Weather is like a cookbook and you need all the ingredients to make the perfect meal".

I would have said Northern Plains tonight too, espically the Dakota's but I'm playing fair, you laid out the Tuesday time frame, not me. |

I had them covered.

A full 12 hr warning time for that section of North Dakota as you can see from the little box. Today was a great day for testing. But tomorro yields an even powerful force. Not liking the dynamics in it, because someone may die. _________________ "Weather is like a cookbook and you need all the ingredients to make the perfect meal".

lol. It's funny how the convection in the Southern Plains has fired up along where the USAF sprayed this afternoon. |

Asian dust plume might sway U.S. climate: scientists
Tue May 15, 2007 8:19PM EDT
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Asian desert dust and city pollution is swirling in vast plumes across the Pacific to North America, interacting with storms and possibly spurring climate change, an airborne scientist said on Tuesday.
Jeff Stith of the National Center for Atmospheric Research communicated with reporters via Web chat from a research jet flying 40,000 feet above the ocean as part of a mission to track dust and pollution particles blown from Asia to the United States.
"We have found enhancements in pollution levels in some of the upper regions of the storm clouds we studied, just yesterday for example," Stith wrote.

Stith and his ground-based colleague, V. Ramanathan of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, aimed to study the interaction between the pollution and dust with high-altitude clouds bearing ice crystals.
Ice crystals are found in extremely cold clouds, and when the crystals are composed entirely of frozen water, they reflect lots of sunlight -- that's why these clouds look so white, Ramanathan said by telephone after the Web chat.
However, if particles of dust and a dark pollutant known as black carbon managed to get inside the crystals, these clouds might absorb more solar energy rather than reflecting it all, Ramanathan said.
The high-flying jet, a specially equipped Gulfstream V, has a range of 6,000 miles and is needed to monitor the dust plumes, which speed across the ocean and occur every few days, the scientists said.

Hope you guys might stick to making forecasts and citing your perspecitve view points in a friendly spirit of competition. This looks like the perfect opportunity to share your opinions tor the rest of the forum. _________________ Being one with nature never felt so good! |
