Ron Paul is winning PostMon Aug 20, 2007 11:13 am  Reply with quote

Seems like Ron Paul is doing real good in straw polls. They might have to do something nasty to this guy to stop him from winning.

Ron takes the Strafford County, NH, GOP straw poll today by another landslide:

Out of 286 votes cast:

Ron - 208 (73%)
Romney - 26
Huckabee - 20
Tancredo - 8
McCain - 7
Cox - 5
Hunter - 5
Fred Thompson - 3
Giuliani - 3
Brownback - 1

.............

It may not have been the straw poll of last week where nearly 15,000 people showed for a million dollar dog and pony show, but one small victory for 2008 Presidential candidate Ron Paul was declared in Alabama. The Texas Congressman won that state's informal straw poll with only 266 ballots cast.

"People buy tickets, they get a meal and the vote for the candidate of their choice,” said Ron Paul supporter Mark Nielson.

Whether it's Romney, Giuliani, Thompson, or any of the other seven top republican candidates running for president, some Alabamians are speaking their mind in a straw poll.

“Before they vote, they listen to each candidate, albeit about 15 minutes in length. Fred Thompson, someone speaking for him, and obviously we have someone speaking for Ron Paul,” said Nielson.

(Article continues below)

Republicans from all over the state were expected to take part and to help their candidates get noticed.

“Well, Pat Robertson said when he ran for president, he won the Iowa straw poll, but it didn't mean a thing, so mainly this is to get the names of the candidates out,” said Carol Hagan of Jacksonville.

Alabama will play a more prominent role nationally in the 2008 election because the state's primary will be one of the first. Last spring, the Alabama legislature voted to move Alabama’s presidential primary up from June to February. Last month, Attorney General Troy King made the official request to the justice department. Legislators expect the department to approve the change.

Recently, a rally held for Ron Paul outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, attracted some 1500 to 2000 supporters. Paul also showed respected placement in last weekend's Iowa straw poll where he came in 5th place. Many supporters argue that Paul had actually won the straw poll when factoring in how much campaigning time he spent in Iowa, virtually none, compared with other candidates like Mitt Romney.

Ron Paul will also be getting some indirect exposure from Playboy Magazine, where it was announced Gambling911.com political betting analyst, Carrie Stroup, has been named Playboy "Babe of the Month". Gambling911.com has forecast thousands of inquiries for "Carrie Stroup" during the month of September based on previous traffic trends when another former Gambling911 reporter appeared in that men's magazine. Stroup's political reporting has been heavily fixated on the Ron Paul campaign.

Ron Paul was listed with 8 to 1 odds of becoming the next President of the United States.

Ron Paul Wins Washington Straw Poll

NH Pols
Thursday, August 23, 2007

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – Representative Ron Paul won the South Sound Ronald Reagan Republican Club's straw poll last night in Snohomish County, Washington. Dr. Paul received 30 percent of the vote, beating out Fred Thompson who garnered 27 percent.

The victory continues a string of straw poll successes for Dr. Paul. In the past week, the Republican congressman and OB doctor won contests in North Carolina, New Hampshire and Alabama.

"Our campaign is growing by the day and continues to build momentum," said campaign manager Lew Moore. "This victory demonstrates strong grassroots support in the important state of Washington."

Every voter in the country could vote for Paul (I will), and he will lose. Hillary is the next president. It was decided 5 years ago before she announced she was running.

The general election will be between her and Guliani. That's been decided too. In the highly unlikely event that the Diebold backdoor programs fail and Guliani wins, it will make virtually no difference. The two are hand-picked and the it doesn't matter which one is served up cold in Jan. 09.

Whether Ron Paul gets barely enough votes to win a few electorate votes in the primary, or enough to win the majority in the general election (as a write in, because he will never be allowed to be nominated in the rigged primaries), we'll never know and he'll never win.

The best thing we can hope for is that he does get enough general votes and the electoral college (or the caucases) give him the shaft and vote against the American people (which will happen, we might just be lied to about the actual votes, in places where there is electronic voting) so we might not be aware to what extent. Hopefully this will anger people enough to push the revolution to a higher level.

Huckabee, McCain et. al. are wasting their time and they don't even know it.

Hucka "Bomb" Mis-fires PostFri Dec 28, 2007 7:47 pm  Reply with quote

(Libertarian)
"The proof is in the pudding" - quote attributed to my angry mother.

In the weeks leading up to the well-publicized Huckabomb, I saw multiple newscasters mention/promote Mike Huckabee's "independent grassroots" money raising day of December 27th. This, in response to Congressman Ron Paul's 2 (two) outrageously successful MoneyBombs of Nov. 5th and December 16th in which he raised more than $10 million dollars in 2(two) days. Mike Huckabee's money day was termed a "huckabomb" by the Dept. of Originality of the Huckabee campaign staff.

Unlike Huckabee's, soon to be called, Huckabust, Dr. Paul's first MoneyBomb was never discussed by the Main Stream Media (MSM). Yet, he raised nearly $4.4 million that day by the internet savvy of his grassroots supporters.

Dr. Paul's 2nd moneybomb of December 16th, only mentioned a slight bit more in the MSM, netted $6 million dollars. Once again, from a growing group of nationwide supporters who mainly found out about Dr. Paul on the web.

In the 4th Quarter, Dr. Paul, to date has raised $18.8 MILLION DOLLARS. That is an average of $189,000 per day.

NOW, the pudding.

The Huckster is leading in the polls in Iowa by a large margin over the other candidates. Over Dr. Paul 2 or 3 times the polling points.

Hucka"goober" is polling #2 in the National polls with 3X the points of Dr. Paul.

I know, it isn't fair to compare the 2 with each other. Especially considering the HUGE support base Gov. HuckaBeaten has attained in the past several weeks.

Poor, old, Kooky Dr. Paul. He, who until last week was rarely seen on the MSM. He never stood a chance. It was like a sheep to slaughter. Can we EVER forgive ourselves? How will both of the Ron Paul supporters ever rid themselves of the shame.

For you see, silly Fans of Freedom

The Hucka "FAILURE" Raised a WHOPPING $95,000. That is: Ninety Five Thousand Dollars.

That is only HALF of Dr. Pauls daily average over the past three months.

Now, a very important question must be answered.

SO WHO WILL WIN THE IOWA CAUCUS ON JANUARY 3RD?

The proof is in the pudding
