Big Bend Mystery PostWed Jan 24, 2001 8:40 pm  Reply with quote

Can anyone help solve this Big Bend mystery? I downloaded an image from Big Bend National Park cam http://www2.nature.nps.gov/ard/parks/bibe/bibecam/bibecam.htm
in Dec./00 showing a "fireball" in the top right hand corner. This image has since been removed from the Big Bend archives. I captured another image, of what looks like the identical "fireball" on Jan. 19/01, in the same area, top right hand corner. These images can be found in the image database under UFO's as Big Bend "fireball" 1 and "fireball"2. What's up with these two almost identical-looking "fireballs"? Why is the government so anxious to remove them from public view. Any ideas?

Why does everything have to be ominous? Maybe these "fireballs" are simply reflections or defects in the film. Maybe they are meteorites. Maybe the pictures were removed because newer pictures replaced them or because the web manager simply didn't like that shot. If the government was concerned about them, why would they have been put on the website to begin with?

Who said anything about being ominous. Mysterious is more like it. The government may be "swift", but obviously they're not that swift at times. Many times pics have been posted and soon (nasa) removes them. Of the 5% of the anomalous pictures we actually get to see, there's more than a few slip-ups (quickly retracted).

Looks somewhat like a meteor to me.

This is from a webcam, I think, so can't be the film.

Lulu, does this webcam pan back and forth?

Here's another UFO sighted near the Mexican border in Texas.

It does look like a meteor, but the same looking meteor, in the same area a month apart? Why would Big Brother remove such a cool shot of a meteor??? It is from a stationary web cam, doesn't move back and forth. That is a fascinating article on the UFO sighted near Mexican border on Dec. 17th. Here's another mystery...was the Dec. "fireball" this same ufo sighted?

Your conclusion that the government was "anxious" to remove them from public view is what made it sound ominous to me.

I wish the webcam picture had a closeup!

This is off-topic, but since this thread is about UFOs...here is a letter I just sent to Jeff Rense:

quote:

Jeff, et all,

In the link on the front page entitled
'Alien Choir' Photo Defended By Its Promotors
http://www.abduct.com/photos/pn010.htm

I must point out a very incorrect statement
that they make. In their points 9 and 10,
they claim that a digital camera "sees" more
than a film-based camera. This is incorrect,
film taken by a standard camera contains much
more information, but most importantly they
erroneously indicate that the digital camera
is picking up "energy fields" and showing them
as wavy lines. This is not correct at all.
The lines are wavy due to a pixelation phenomenon,
more specifically JPEG compression probably the
culprit. Their photo may be of aliens, but
the previously mentioned claims are ridiculous
and damage their credibility.

I wish the web cam picture had a close-up too Thermit. Good points you made in the lettter to Jeff. Isn't that sighting now considered a hoax because of the discrepancies?

Bee...the pictures weren't removed because newer pictures replaced them, there is a GAP in the archive where these pictures should be. Why were they removed, and what threat were they to us no-need-to-know citizens?

NASA Caught In a Cover Up?
by Mitch Battros (ECTV)

Earlier today Nasa posted an article debunking yesterdays photograph of a meteor caught on film near Big Bend National Park. Nasa states it was "glints of morning sunlight on the lens". Then they go on to show their evidence which they claim supports their theory. So let's take a look at what they have.

* First we have their claim that it was a "glint from morning sunlight"

* Second we have someone named "Kevin Palivec" who nasa claims was "contributed by a reader", who claims is the same footage which caught the meteor. Now how a "reader" can get a hold of footage owned by Big Bend National Park was not mentioned, much less verified, investigated, or otherwise given explanation in any way. We are simply to believe Nasa puts their full weight and trust to someone named "Kevin Palivec" who they describe as simply "a reader".

Folks, is there salmon on the barbecue, I just got a whiff of something fishy.

* Third we have Nasa showing this so called verified footage that shows a 45 minute spanning of the skyline. Well low and behold, the footage is simply the meteor played backward. Notice how the photos get darker as the frames progress. In fact, the frames would be getting brighter as the film moves forward in time.

Hey, are those fish ready to be turned over yet, I'm hungry.'

Fireball Footage

* Forth we have the owner of the website "I Love Parks"; shows not one shred of evidence which suggest anything resembling a retraction. To the contrary, the web site owner "I Love Parks", has documented even further evidence suggesting it was in fact a "Bolide". You just have to read this one.

Fireball On Webcam

This Just In!

Well well folks, look who just might be our mystery man who came out of nowhere, but Nasa says is simply "a reader" who just happened to somehow get what we are to believe is the original footage from Big Bend National Park. One Mr. Kevin Palivec is a professional computer graphics designer specializing in animated gifs. Kevin Palivec: http://www.google.com/search?q=Kevin+Palivec&chk=on

Disclaimer: This recent breaking news regarding Mr. Palivec has not been confirmed. Even though he has answered my email asking him about the photos, stating "What would you like to know", he has not yet answered my questions. It may be that he has just been advised not to answer any further questions. This information was obtained from Google search engine as well as "People Finder" and is deemed public information.

You make the decision! If this incredible finding is true and factual, which I believe it to be, the question yet to be answered is

"What Is NASA Hiding?"

Remember folks, follow your truth, not mine or anyone else.

If I may add, that's no 'glint' of light on the lens...

Thanks for posting that information seeker, makes you wonder what's going on. I don't buy the "glint of light on the lens" either. In the archives at http://www.iloveparks.com/new13-frame.htm
where the picture and story were originally posted, the news item On Big Bend National Park in mid December is now missing. Were not sonic booms heard in the vicinity at that time? Anyone know?
