All these years I thought the contempt and hate for the U.S. that is bred in foreign countries came from the fact that we bombed them, forced our political views down their throats and policed their countries with or without their consent. Apperently I was wrong. Martin Scorsese and Britney Spears are the ones we really should be blaming.

Funny how the amount of sex and violence in movies and televison in the U.S. is only a fraction of what is seen on television and movies in European countries. I'm sure the Muslim and Middle Eastern countries aren't to thrilled with France's entertainment, but they don't hate any country like they hate the U.S. I'm also fairly certain that most middle easterners and foriegners in general have the mental capacity to know fact from fiction. I wonder just who these people polled were that thought that every American is a dishonest, drug-abusing sex fiend. Let's force a regime change on the people in every country of the most volatile region of the world and at the same time if we get rid of the soprano's and start watching Lassie and Leave it to Beaver, all the terrorists of the world will just go away and leave us alone. Something about that kind of logic I find to be just a bit flawed. Heaven forbid that just once we try NOT interfering in other people's business and destroying cultures we don't agree with, that could never lead to peace.
