Reward offered to help find killer of Marine who earned Purple Heart in Iraq
Associated Press

LONG BEACH, Calif. - A $10,000 reward was offered Tuesday to help find the gunman who shot to death a Marine who was celebrating his return from Iraq.

Lance Cpl. Sok Khak Ung, 22, who was stationed at Camp Pendleton, and a family friend, Vouthy Tho, 21, of Long Beach, were shot early Sunday while partying in a garage at a Long Beach home.

A gunman reached over a wooden fence next to the garage and fired six to eight shots before fleeing, police said.

"I am outraged that someone would so cowardly gun down this brave soldier," said Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe, who is offering the reward.

"Ung served his country well, protecting our freedoms in the war against terrorism," Knabe said. "His killers should be brought to justice."

Ung, of San Francisco, earned a Purple Heart after he was hit by shrapnel from a land mine in April in the Iraqi city of Nasiriyah, Camp Pendleton spokesman Bill Lisbon said Tuesday.

Lisbon said Ung also participated in the rescue of Army Pfc. Jessica Lynch. The combat engineer was part of a "diversion force" which attacked the enemy to distract them while a special force unit went into the hospital to rescue Lynch, Lisbon said.

Ung was set to complete his four years of military service on Oct. 31.

"This man had only 12 days left with the Marine Corps," Lisbon said. "It's sad to think he came back from the war to die in this country."

Tho, a 21-year-old aspiring rapper, who was about to release an album, was shot once in the head, officials said. He was pronounced dead Monday night after being hospitalized in critical condition, police spokesman Greg Schirmer said.

Police investigating the shootings have not identified the suspect and the motive for the shooting remained unknown.

By that logic, the Iraqi and his family were part of Jessica army unit too

But Mech, this is what you said

Here's the first one.

Now another one.

You knew they were not in the same unit Why would you tell people here they were in the unit together?

They were in the same battle "to save jessica Lynch".

Is that better?

Either way...funny how they are both DEAD.

HMMMM....were they INTENTIONALLY silenced?

JUST A THOUGHT.

Remember the Govt. can do NO WRONG.

Nope, never said any such thing about government can do no wrong, so do not put words in my mouth.

Was is so important to get your point across that you had to exaggerate a bit? You were in the military, you knew darn well Marines and Army are separate.

And if you know and or have evidence those troops were silenced, have you contacted the homicide division there about the information you have?

Marines and Army are indeed separate.

However joint operations have occured many times.

During one Marine assault in the Nam, for example
Army clerks, cooks, etc. were issued weapons and rushed to die alongside Marines.

http://www.quartermaster.army.mil/oqmg/Professional_Bulletin/1995/Winter/joint.html

>joint employment of the Army and Marine assets greatly enhances the flexibility and agility of the forces available to a theater commander<
>U.S. Army, Field Manual 100-5, 1994
The Army does not fight alone. It integrates its efforts...along with the other services, other national agencies, and often allied and coalition forces. <

As far as there being a possible connection
of these deaths with the Faux rescue?

Anyone who has cared to dig for facts is aware that Jessica Lynch was injured in an auto accident;
Was being well cared for by Iraqi Doctors and nurses;
Was "rescued" at gunpoint from her hospital bed, with no threat from the unarmed medical staff.
That the corpses mentioned in the
Wag-The-Dog fake rescue
were in the hospital morgue.
(All hospital morgues have bodies of those they were unable to save BTW)

There is no need to kill anyone to coverup the Lynch lie.

Only neo-con partisans and fools believe the Lynch lie to begin with.
http://www.thetip.org/art_Lynch_Rescue_Ruse354_icle.html
>Lynch Rescue Ruse

The Heroic rescue of Lynch turns out to have been a fabrication, war propaganda.

"If they had come to the door and asked for Jessica, we would have gladly handed her over to them. There was no need for all that drama," said Dr. Hazem Rikabi, an internist.

There was no military in the hospital where Lynch was being treated.
The doctors were glad to have her returned to her country.
The reuters and ap reports were staged.
There was no battle.

The military and press colluded in a lie for the sake of generating some news coverage - wag the dog.

Nothing new.

By the way:
In the movie about the Iraq war;
Jessica Lynch was portrayed by Woody Harrelson.

(Sgt. "Shoe")

I came home with an attitude like many returning vets.

Getting a traffic ticket, for example required a lot of control.
Being called "boy" by 'a draft dodging punk with a badge' was not easy to put up with.
The
"I could take him out without breaking a sweat."
attitude took a bit of counseling to get rid of.
I counseled, in turn, for V V A W, and still help convince on-the-edge veterans to seek VA assistance.
(often having to accompany a paranoid PTSD vet to the first few sessions with VA shrinks)

One Marine buddy still has the attitude over 30 years later.
I still get 3am calls from another when he's "losing it" and needs someone to talk to.
I recently bought all his guns from one vet buddy, just to disarm him and began taking him to the VA myself.

It takes an epiphany to realize one needs to learn to think like a civilian again and request counseling.

Perhaps these guys still had attitudes that only people carrying machine guns can successfully get away with.

Looks like a fourth witness to the Lynch rescue now has died:
http://www.rense.com/general43/sstr.htm

Four Witnesses To Lynch 'Rescue' Killed Under Strange Circumstances
It's Just A Coincidence...

Picasso Dreams
10-29-3

A few nights ago I saw a preview of Saving Jessica Lynch. It was all I could do to contain the gray matter.

I was extremely busy and without access to a computer during the "rescue." A week after Pfc. Lynch was returned to American custody, I heard incredulous stories of a heroic young soldier, Rambo-style shooting at the enemy until out of bullets, and who endured stab wounds and torture until she was dramatically rescued in perfect made-for TV fashion.

And then the BBC aired the infamous documentary, essentially labeling the Pentagon's version of events as a work of fiction. I trust the BBC over the Pentagon.

Sure enough, Pfc Lynch has selective amnesia and cannot remember the events of her capture and rescue, though that hasn't stopped her from a million dollar book deal with the NY Times most recent plagiarist du jour, Rick Bragg.

When the Department of Defense insisted on keeping up their official version of the rescue, I knew that inevitably some of Lynch's rescuers would be hushed. After all, here is a woman who endured a few broken limbs from a vehicle accident and is rewarded with a million bucks, while her rescuers continue to live without toilets and running water in a Depleted Uranium wasteland. Her Bronze Star has outraged many veterans. At some point even the threat of an untimely demise will not keep some disgruntled military folks from talking.

Eerily enough, four of Pfc. Lynch's rescuers and colleagues have met an early demise.

Petty Officer First Class David M. Tapper died of wounds received in Afghanistan. He took part in the rescue.

Lance Cpl. Sok Khak Ung was killed in a drive-by shooting. He was also part of the rescue team.

Spc Josh Daniel Speer died when his car went over an embankment for no apparent reason. He was part of the rescue team.

Kyle Edward Williams, who worked in the same company as Lynch, died of "suicide". "A Tucson man was shot to death outside a West Side hotel Wednesday after breaking into a vehicle and being confronted by its owner, an Army soldier, who shot him in the back and fled, police said Friday.

The soldier, Spc. Kyle Edward Williams, 21, was found dead outside San Diego on Thursday and officials believe he committed suicide with one of the seven firearms he had been carrying with him.

He left no note to explain the suicide or why he fired six shots at Noah P. Gamez, also 21, after spotting the man stealing an ice chest from his Jeep.

Williams spent seven months in the Middle East as part of the 507th Maintenance Company, the same unit as Pfc. Jessica Lynch, Army officials said.

He didn't have any disciplinary or mental health problems before he left Fort Bliss, Texas, at the end of September for 20 days of leave before moving to a new military job, the officials said."

But this statistically improbable occurrence is just a coincidence.
