When #7 collapsed I was positioned at West Broadway and Barclay St. The collapse was expected, inevitable and NO explosion was heard BY ME prior to the collapse.
As for the tanks:
One tank holding 6,000 gallons of fuel was in the building to provide power to the command bunker on the 23rd floor. Another set of four tanks holding as much as 36,000 gallons were just below ground on the building's southwest side for generators that served some of the other tenants.
The Fire Department repeatedly warned that a tank in that position could spread fumes throughout the building if it leaked, or, if it caught fire, could produce what one Fire Department memorandum called "disaster." Putting a tank underground typically protects it from falling debris, and impedes leaks or tank fires from spreading throughout the building.
All of these buildings were constructed of steel bar joists. They are notorious for failure under fire.

Firefighters: Were you on site during the morning? Can you provide any insight as to when/what caused WTC6 (not 7) to "explode" as some have said here?
It seems that the reason for WTC7 has been adequately explained to everyone except die-hard conspiracists who ignore evidence and logic. So now they're talking about a missle into WTC6 at about the time the second tower was hit.
Any thoughts?

Wow Professor. That’s one I have not come across before – good one! After watching the two sets of images, they do not appear to be of the same incident. The trajectory of the top image in clearly going down whereas in the second image, it’s more on the rise. |

Yes, I made an error above - I should have said BOTTOM LEFT. Glad you were smart enough to figure that out. That image and animated video CLEARLY show something happened to WTC 6 after both towers were hit. And no, it does not appear that any part of the tower is collapsing.

In that first image you posted, WTC 6 would not be anywhere in the frame. As far as the other two, could the smoke have settled? I don't know. It depends on the angle that it is being filmed at, if you notice the video fox had it looked as if it was going up and right past the 2nd tower but when you look at it from across the way it seems like you say going more of a downward position. I don't quite think it is a missile because for one you can view this object exit the city. |

I don't think it was a missle either.
I think it was internal explosives...just like the twin towers.
Any way you slice it...TPTB wanted those buildings to come down.
Just like a certain section of the Pentagon TPTB wanted destroyed. |
