The Pentagon's decision to press 5,600 discharged soldiers back into service, mainly for Iraq and Afghanistan, is the latest example of President George W. Bush's refusal to face the true costs of pre-emptive war.

I ETS in a couple of months and I refuse to be recalled into action once I'm out. I've already escaped death a few times out here and all for a war in which I do not believe.
Throw me in jail. Take away my "benefits". They are not going to get my @$$ back into fighting an enemy you cannot identify. Just praying the whole time while in the zone that none of these hundreds of cars passing by will blow up in my face maiming of or killing me - no sir!
Once the bad guys come storming up on the shores of California or New York I'll grab my weapon and be the first guy willing to die but until these F*#$!ed up policies stop then I will be on the lamb.
I've already served honorably and fought for you Cheney and Bush; wich in turn has turned my whole opinion around about you and yours.
I'm a great American Hero in the Great American Blunder.
Never again.

I could not aggree more to Bhang's statement about the soldier's being recalled to active duty, after thier service has been fulfilled. I myself can not go through that stuff again. I lost a lot of very good friends. For someone's games. There is not reason that I or the friends that I served with that made it out should have to go through it again. Noboy fo that matter. |
