New kid on the block: Nothing in Birmingham, AL today PostSat Sep 16, 2000 11:07 pm  Reply with quote

Good evening! I'm new here, although I've been "-trail"-watching since my teen years! During my ecology phase in the early 1970's, I noticed that some -trails didn't evaporate--that's right, EARLY 1970's. The persistent -trail events seemed to taper off during the 1980's only to reappear in this area during the late 1980's. They are a weekly occurrence now. Everyone's favorite local weather forecaster was at a loss to explain the -trails that appeared on his tower camera shots, calling them "high, thin cirrus-type clouds" at first, then suddenly no longer showing shots that had -trails in them.

Birmingham is familiarly known as the Sinus Capital of the South. Everyone has sinus problems. Asthma diagnosis is going up. Sore throats are so common that drug stores have 3' to 5' foot counter displays of cough drops! In the middle of the summer! Good heavens!

I'm determined to follow this situation until I can understand it one way or the other. It won't hurt my feelings if chemtrails turn out to be contrails in disguise. Maybe the planes just need good engine tune-ups! I'm a persistent thinker, and I have great faith in mankind's reasoning ability. With enough information, we can figure this out, I'm confident.

That's interesting SuzieB. I haven't heard of people noticing unusual trails before the 90's. Yeah, the weather people are having to explain a lot these days. Check out this guy on Phil's site.

I just got back from Phil's weatherman. What a great page. He's doing his best.

Still nothing in BHAM. We've got the most pure, pristine blue sky I've seen in five years. That's high pressure for you.
