Why are we still in Iraq and Afganistan? PostFri Jul 23, 2004 4:46 am  Reply with quote

Since our unelected President and his disciples turned Iraq over to Sadaam, I mean the Iraq "people',we should be pulling our troops out.Or am I missing something. How much money do you guys have to steal before you've had enough? How many people have to die or get maimed before you're done laughing about it?If Bush wants to do mental testing on all Americans,I say he steps up to the plate and shows the way.Another 30 American men and women died yesterday in Iraq in one frigg'in day. But ,"let us not waste our precious minds on coffins and body bags". Monkeyboy, bring the troops home NOW.Mr. President, you are the reason some animals eat their young. [img]

The reason why we are still in Iraq? The reason why?!?!?!

have you learned nothing yet, my dear...

We will never leave Iraq, we will always be there.. as soon as we setup a few bases, and a few churches, it is our new getaway for those that are tired of visiting the same beaches..

The Iraqi threat never existed, but for some reason, our Catholic leaders hate the Muslim people and everything they stand for, so Israel will continue to get guns and shoot little palestinean kids, and soldiers will continue to shoot at Iraqis who are trying to kill their own people.

Insurgents aren't fighting for their people, as we can clearly see, they are fighting for themselves, and their selfish ways, so that they can continue living their lives throwing rocks at their women, and pretending that their hate for Americans is the right way to be and we are to blame for all their problems..

However, there is no true way, there is no right bible, their is no true God.
We have so much confused the even ideal of religion that it is meaningless no matter how it is used at this point, other than for the control and submission of one's people..

My dear, again, we are in Iraq for the Greater good of the World! For some reason, turning as many people as we can into hamburger is a good thing and makes us good people, that goes for everyone, not just Americans.

I wanna add something offball here, Human Beings are capable of sOOOO much more than they have ever dreamed of.. yet, we decide that this is the right way and get tired of listening or even the thoughts of others that have different opinions, instead we continue to melt away, and float into the darkness with our LED flashlights..

I wish all the Oil would dry up, I really do.. we would all have to walk our fat asses to work.. and this obesity as being the new disease of the times can be erased as well.. presto chango! two big problems, solved in one fell swoop...

What exactly is war? Bottom line. It's stealing land and controlling territories. Sadly, we do it well.

Taken from Why War
http://www.iol.ie/~carsfrn/Why%20War.htm

Let us look back on some of the landmarks in that foreign policy:

1898 - Annexation of Hawaii and overthrow of its monarchy on the instigation of United States planters.
(The Hawaiians eventually become a dispossessed minority in their own their own country like the Native Americans.) In the same year the Spanish-American war results in victory for the USA. The northern territories of Mexico became US states; Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Philippines become US "protectorates". (Much later - 1933-45 - they are to be given nominal independence but remain under US hegemony.)
1900 - Eastern Samoa is made US territory.
1903 - The newly created Republic of Panama comes under US control.
1914 - The USA intervenes in Mexico. In the same year Western Samoa comes under New Zealand administration.
1916 - US occupies Haiti.
1917 - The US enter the First World War on the side of the Allies.
1919 - Congress refuses to be part of the League of Nations, leading to its collapse.
1941 - The USA enters the Second World War following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour.
1946 - The US government sends into exile the friendly inhabitants of Bikini Atoll, a small coral island in the Pacific, while it set about destroying their island with 23 nuclear tests.
1950-45 - Korean War in which USA plays the leading part. Country partitioned.
1962 - Western Samoa is given independence with the British Commonwealth. Eastern Samoa, however, remains a US territory.
1963-69 - Intervention of USA in Vietnam.
1971 - The islanders of Diego Garcia (a small French speaking British possession in the Chagos Islands) are excluded from their home and sent into exile. The island is handed over to the USA to be a military air base. The Americans have never allowed the islanders to return, in spite of a London High Court decision that they should be given back their island.
1973 - US troops withdraw from a ruined Vietnam.
1983 - Massive US force attacks the tiny island nation of Grenada without seeking the permission of the Commonwealth (of which Grenada is a member), and overthrows the revolutionary government.
1986 - Reprisal raid on Libya. Gadaffi's adopted daughter killed in the raid.
1991 - FIRST GULF WAR.
2002 - Right-wing conspirators attempt (apparently with US support) to overthrow the democratically elected President Chavez of oil rich Venezuela. Bid is unsuccessful.
2003 - US troops are sent into action against Moslem separatists in the Philippines.
On 20th. March, 2003, USA and Britain launch a second war in Iraq without United Nations approval. US relations with the UNO and with France at an all-time low.
In the Spring of 2004 US troops are sent into Haiti after the deposition of Jean Bertrand Aristide (whom the United States had helped to power as it had so many other disastrous Central and South American leaders).

If Bush wins this election, the next targets will be Iran, Libia, and Syria

Christy, I'm afraid you may be right.

Also, do you know about this:

13 July 2004
The UK Guardian

US in talks over biggest missile defence site in Europe

The US administration is negotiating with Poland and the Czech Republic over its controversial missile defence programme, with a view to positioning the biggest missile defence site outside the US in central Europe.

Polish government officials confirmed to the Guardian that talks have been going on with Washington for eight months and made clear that Poland was keen to take part in the project, which is supposed to shield the US and its allies from long-range ballistic missile attacks.

Senior officials in Prague also confirmed that talks were under way over the establishment of American advanced radar stations in the Czech Republic as part of the missile shield project.

"We're very interested in becoming a concrete part of the arrangement," said Boguslaw Majewski, the Polish foreign ministry spokesman. "We have been debating this with the Americans since the end of last year." (continued)

Yeah, I bet they are "very interested in becoming a concrete part of the arrangement." If you think about it, if they don't join the pack so to speak, they'll be next...not to mention they need the money. This war "business" makes me sick. I'm a registered Republican and I've had enough. Bush is not getting my vote.

.....not to mention they need the money.....

Bull's Eye.

This is the way the U.S. conducts foreign policy these days. Manipulate developing countries into a condition of insupportable debt and take it from there. It's just about that simple.

Not to mention disgusting.

I've been a registered Independent since 1969. It's a pretty depressing state of affairs when the people you would feel good about voting for, whatever their affiliation, haven't a chance in Hell of winning an election.

Christy, where do you see Florida heading as to its choice in November? Or is it more or less 50/50 at this point?

Well Deborah, I'll tell ya...I really dread this election. It's going to be a bloodbath. I'd say its a 50/50 feeling around Florida, but what I noticed is how extreme it is. Here's the funny thing. It's not extreme as far as it goes with equal support toward Bush or Kerry. The extremism is either pro-Bush or anti-Bush. The anti-Bushes are growing in numbers by the day, but the pro-Bushes are fighting harder than before. Personally, I want see a choice on the ballot that says "neither."

Christy

Oh, wanted to add...Speaking of money. The money that BushyBones and KerryBones are going to spend/raise (ha) on this election will be enough to purchase a small country.
I have learned plenty,my dear.Just ranting, and disgusted with the situation we are all in.Glad to see the response.More than 900 sons ,daughters, husbands, wives, moms and dads have been sacrificed for the Satan worshipping SOB's.That number is not correct. My estimate would be three to four times that amount. One of the main reasons Barbra Bush doesn't want to waste her precious mind on all the people her husband and her children are responsible for Murdering,Raping,Stealing,.The list of indictments would take days to mention all the crap they,as a family, have given to us all. Republican,Democrat,Independent,Libertarian,Green Party,Constitutionalists,we all need to come together to beat these bastards.Everyone vote,it is important.
