I'm racking my brain over this..
See if you can ge some improved screenshots as we discussed and I'll shop em around a few place I know and try gtting some answers..Even if you switch to Mac, the problem remains a potential one for those that don't.
Like myself.

When you moved the machine upstairs was there an internet connection there?
The reason I ask is that some malware will malfunction and cause problems if an internet connection is not found on a reboot. Regardless of what it actually is, I think it's pretty safe to dismiss the obvious connection as I seriously doubt the FBI would expose a snoop so carelessly.
Sounds to me like plain old crappy ad/mal-ware written by some zit-faced pencil geek. Try doing a search fror it's location and remove it manually and see what happens. |

Here's a question, are you having any trouble with your computer since you've noticed this?
I did a fairly thorough Internet such for someone else posting about a similar problem and couldn't and a single mention of "fbi gui manager".
Has there been a search warrant issued by the government for your home recently?

Nope. I think you have the answer Et.

Is that the way to do quotes?

By the way, the easiest way to determine if it was internet malware as I suggested would be to take it back downstairs and see if the issue appears after an internet connection is established. I had something similar happen to my work machine a few weeks ago:
I had Norton antivirus installed, but forgot to register it before my boss took off with the install disk, so when the grace period terminated, I said to hell with it and tried disabling a few of it's features so I wouldn't get the nag screen all the time. When I did this, I was unable to log on to the internet at all. Once I went back in and permitted the functions again, I was back online.
AFter this, I recommend you get yourself Ad-Aware AND Spybot and run them together at least a few times a week. Best to update your definitions, then restart in Safe-Mode(tap the F8 key at boot-up, and select Safe Mode). This will make it easier for these applications to extract the spyware as they won't be running applications at the time of removal.
Hope it all works out. _________________ "If the President has commander-in-chief power to commit torture, he has the power to commit genocide, to sanction slavery, to promote apartheid, to license summary execution." |

The quote thing still needs some work. The computer came back to life.I pulled out the battery, put it back in and above it was a button which was pushed and to quote Joey Buttafucco"It came up again." |
