Aspartam; I need your help

There's been a lot of evidence that aspartam is bad news. I saw it on CT forum too. I'm kind of addicted to chewing gum so I have a very practical question; could someone name some chewing gum brands that don't contain aspartam? I need to find an alternative because right now I chew a few Wrigley brand products. _________________ *~Peace&Ganja~* |

I switched to Altoids mints, cinnamon, straight sugar so that could be a problem if your lookin for sugar free. |

I would like a sugarfree product better because of my teeth, but it's not that important - as long as there's no aspartam. I guess I'll switch to mint bonbons. Does anyone know if Mentos has aspartam in it? _________________ *~Peace&Ganja~* |

How about these? We have similar mints in Croatia.

I checked, and they do ship overseas. Those Junior Mints are garbage. 50% sugar. The sweet ingredient of the the Thermo-Gum is Stevia. Punch that in a search engine to see how Nutrasweet and Monsanto tried to keep it out of the USA for many years. In fact, you'll see a familair name pop up in this...Donald Rumsfeld
Another ingredient is Ginseng, which helps males keep the weather vane pointing north when you reach around 50 years of age. Why do you think Chinese men are still sexually active at 80+ years?
Sugar is actually pretty harmful, not only because of pancreas overload, but it binds to proteins, which is one of the 7 major causes of aging. Check this out:

Until it becomes approved, you can use L-Carnosine, which scavenges dead cross-link tissue. Normally cross-link by products are left to circulate throuhout the body, causing more AGE (Advanced Glycation End Product) problems _________________ Heard it from a pilot who spoke real gooooood! |

Splenda even worse

Watch out for splenda. I watch the discovery health chanel and pb medical shows all the time. There was a show on one night, hosted by a bio-chemist. He said he would not consume aspatame, but splenda is even worse. When ingested , and mixed with stomach acid, the reaction turns to
hydrochloride. The same chemical that is in chlorine. The first time I tried splenda , I got extremly ill to my gastrointenstinal system. Bad enough I went to the Er. Even worse, the damage is permanent. I just say stay clear of all artificial sweetners.

Currently Approved Aspartame Levels Cause Cancer in Rats

Artificial Sweetener Aspartame Causes Cancer in Rats at Levels Currently Approved for Humans
Scientists are calling for an urgent reevaluation of the artificial sweetener aspartame. The ingredient, commonly found in sugar-free beverages and candies, has been shown to cause cancer in rats, according to a new study in the peer-reviewed journal Environmental Health Perspectives. "Our study has shown that aspartame is a multi-potential carcinogenic compound whose carcinogenic effects are also evident at a daily dose of 20 milligrams per kilogram of body weight (mg/kg), notably less than the current acceptable daily intake for humans," the authors write.

I avoid techno-sugars promoted by the machine.
Stevia is really kick ass stuff. It's not a perfect baking substitute because it has much different properties than sugar, but it is the best natural sugar substitute I've found. Works great with drinks and fruit especially.
It's damn tragic that the machine disallows the use of Stevia as sweetener in foods, but at least you can still buy it... |

You can use malt in addition to Stevia in baking, since malt is closer to sugar in consistency, but puts nearly zero load on the pancreas. the Stevia brings the sweetness level up. _________________ Heard it from a pilot who spoke real gooooood! |
