Notice to Web Proxy users

CTC has been aware for some time of former members that have since been eliminated as Personas Non Grata employing web proxies in order to view the forum. This for the most part is unavoidable and expected, as there is simply so many means of employing proxies it isn't technically feasible to eliminate them all.
However..
There are a relatively large amount of web proxies that offer free and easy to use proxy service that we CAN do something about. As these are the easiest to use, logic determines they will be the most frequently employed.
Because of this, and in order to directly address our hidden guests that are not welcome here, we will be initializing a ban accross the board on as many web proxies as we are able, and we intend to begin doing this within the next 72 hours.
This message is directed towards those members here who are employing web proxies for non-malicious reasons. We would like you to understand that you are not the target, the proxy itself is, so if you find yourself unable to access the forum without warrent, this is why.
Don't take it personal, in other words.
CTC understands and respects privacy, but we are unwilling to tolerate the abuse that comes from this particular browsing method. Lurking here for data to use for the sake of harrassment of CTC members will not go unchallenged. Individuals browsing from an employer's web proxy or commercial proxies like AOL more than likely will not be affected, as we are only targeting free public services, so even you NSA guys should be in the green afterwards.
