Howard: I don't have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. It's a depression. Everybody's out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel's worth. Banks are going bust. Shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter. Punks are running wild in the street and there's no one anywhere that seems to know what to do with us. Now into it. We know the air is unfit to breath, our food is unfit to eat, and we sit watching our TVs while some local newscaster tells us that today we had 15 homicides and 63 violent crimes as if that's the way it's supposed to be. We know things are bad. Worse than bad. They're crazy. It's like everything everywhere is going crazy so we don't go out anymore. We sit in a house as slowly the world we're living in is getting smaller and all we say is, "Please, at least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster, and TV, and my steel belted radials and I won't say anything." Well I'm not going to leave you alone. I want you to get mad. I don't want you to protest. I don't want you to riot. I don't want you to write to your congressman because I wouldn't know what to tell you to write. I don't know what to do about the depression and the inflation and the Russians and the crying in the streets. All I know is first you've got to get mad. You've got to say, "I'm a human being. God Dammit, my life has value." So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window, open it, and stick your head out, and yell, "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!" I want you to get up right now. Get up. Go to your windows, open your windows, and stick your head out, and yell, "I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore!" Things have got to change my friends. You've got to get mad. You've got to say, "I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore!" Then we'll figure out what to do about the depression and the inflation and the oil crisis. But first get up out of your chairs, open your window, stick your head out and yell, "I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore!" |

as 30 foot long streamers of "spider web" were glinting off the eves

Since you say that you're driving a shiny new plane, I assume this this is a source of livelihood for you.
It's amazing how quickly people clam up when their very lives, and those of their family, are at stake- economically if not in fact.
So why would pilots remain silent?
Well, first of all, we know that they love to fly. You don't want to mess with the FAA questioning your competence do you?
And just how many people today live paycheck to paycheck?
But that's just my point of view as to why pilots have keep their mouths shut.
I'm sure there could be a fundamental flaw in my reasoning.
It's just that "survival" tends to be a pretty compelling motivator. |

In today's world, these are very much one in the same.
Perhaps, with the information that they have to work with, they have actually been lead to believe that this "operation" is is in the "general" best interests.
...and that "unintended" collateral damage is just that, an unfortunate and unavoidable consequence of war.
We are at war you know...we're reminded of this constantly by our current Commander-In-Chief.
Just as a way to judge your integrity and aviation knowledge in general, just what is your take on the NTSB report on TWA Flight 800? Coverup and conspiracy of silence...hundreds of "confused" and uneducated eye witnesses?

Donaldson, USN (ret.), challenged the official NTSB position on the cause of the crash of TWA Flight 800 in a series of letters to James Hall, Chairman of the NTSB between April 1997 and December 2000. Over the past four years, CDR. Donaldson worked with other Retired Aviation Professionals, including some previous crash investigators as well as persons inside the NTSB investigation itself. CDR. Donaldson has extensive experience as a Naval crash investigator and he and others concluded that the NTSB's explanation of the Center Wing Tank explosion was not credible. With the help of these other concerned aviation professionals, CDR. Donaldson produced an extensive report on the cause of the crash.
Was the American public told the truth about this crash or not? It seems that many of your aviation brethren, with substantial credentails, have choosen to condemn the official government report.
So who is telling the Truth?

Let's get real innocent...
...no games.
On TWA 800 it's not my opinion that I'm talking about. It's a team of professional aviators, crash site investigators, who have condemned the NTSB report.
It's THEIR call, not mine.

If that's true you should already be well aware of this site. It didn't just spring up overnight.
Back to family. If you can't put a roof over their heads, buy clothes and groceries, pay for medical insurance, and on and on...THEY WILL BE AT RISK. Period.
Cut the self-righteous crap.
Get real....or further conversation is useless.

This is NOT a healthy situation.
Just because you pilots don't seem to think there's anything wrong here doesn't mean other people are buying that.
This is not PERSONAL. I am just sick and tired of these endless circular "debates" which have NOTHING TO DO with the PROBLEM-AT-HAND, which is that our skies DID NOT look like this prior to 1999, PERIOD.
And this *situation* IS affecting people's health. After 3+ years of this, that is becoming VERY obvious.

BY the way, Innocent, do you have rear view mirrors on your plane???lolol, just a thought, maybe you can't see whats coming out of the back of your plane, in fact,without a rear mounted camera, you can't.If you are a pilot as you claim you are and I believe you are, you need to take notice of whats being said here,we don't want to hurt people here, that is not our goal or our desire.Most of us in this forum are here because we are concerned for our well being and that of our loved ones.And then they are the"debunkers".Experience shows none of them are pilots, not one single one ever turns out to be an actual pilot, save a few military nazis on website by a fellow calling himself Maverick and topgun.Almost every "debunker" is a government employee or representative of a guilty military contractor, if you follow my meaning.So please excuse us if we are sceptical of your staus as a pilot.Maybe you are, I could see why you might be interested in posting here if you were.Let me ask you this, as a pilot, you claim the sky doesnt look totally different now than it did in 1998??Is that what you contend?this question,your answer to it will help me to decide what I think
