Difficult to know if contrails are forming without turning and having a look out the window, if you can see other contrails around then its a good bet you are forming them too. It depends on how saturated the outside air is. Even if aircraft could descend say 5000 feet to stop contrails forming, the thicker air makes the flight a much more expensive fuel burn, which would be even worse for the enviroment.
The fact is, if our society is formed in such a way that we need to travel for work, then cars and planes will always be needed and we must live with the pollution (until oil runs out at least).

can someone direct me to a picture of an "unmarked" aircraft leaving a chemtrail. every picture i have seen so far has either been an identifiable aircraft or is unidentifiable because of the distance to the aircraft. |
