A Bizarre Sunset in Stamford, Connecticut PostFri Feb 15, 2002 7:25 pm  Reply with quote

I have witnessed something pretty major right here in Stamford, Connecticut. I am not exactly sure on how to even approach an event that occured on 2/12/02 or even come close to giving an accurate explanation of it. As far as I know, something like this has never been seen before and is something that I would like to never see again. During the week prior to this event (for lack of a better word) there was heavy spraying reported in Canada reported by 2 people that just happened to call Art Bell. Those of you familiar with GHCC, knows that the satellites have thermal imaging capabilities. I immediately went to the GHCC site and did note a significant amount of clouds covering all of Canada. I mention this, only because it may partially explain what happened here.

On 2/12/02, I decided to visit some friends of mine who were on duty at one of the Volunteer Fire Companies in North Stamford. I was hanging out in the kitchen when I looked outside and saw something rather odd. Everything seemed to have a brownish tinge to it as if something was partially obstructing the sun. I immediately walked out to my car and grabbed my two Polaroid digital 320 cameras and began to take pictures of the sky not long before sunset. as I moved to a higher vantage point, I noticed a jet in the distance to the west of me making a trail among what I can only describe as a mess in the sky. I am not sure of the duration, but managed to take some 50 pictures before the sun actually set.

It had been quite windy earlier in the day and I did note that there were definite signs of spraying and everything was moving in a southwestardly direction. I hung around t he firehouse for a while after the sunset and thenfinally decided to go home. Still not sure of what I had seen or what had caused it, I decided to go to the GHCC site and run an animation of the last 30 images and noticed a large cloud mass moving away from Stamford in a North Easterly direction. After going over the data, my best guess that they had been spraying heavily due to the wind and sometime just before sunset, the wind had suddenly shifted. And judging by what I saw, there may have been a collision of 2 fronts. As I clicked off as many images as I could, I did notice that everything was moving NE and was still moving in that direction as of 2:00 AM like a gigantic blue teardrop.

Something just didn't look right!

As I looked to the south, something was definitely wrong.

As I moved to a higher elevation, I shot this picture of the sky above me.

I shot this picture of the northwestern sky.

And this one of the northern sky.

And of the sun setting.

Though I have posted these and a few more images in the new image section, I felt it necessary to show a few of them on this thread. If I am right, this was a major incident that received no attention by the local media who were all watching an apparent hostage situation at Fairfield University in another part of Connecticut. I am also worried that if there was any fallout, that North Stamford, Greenwich and Banksville, New York will be affected. This mess appeared to be over a reservoir that supplies water to the town of Greenwich in Connecticut. If nothing else, this could be one of our worst nightmares.

Yep, that's a Connecticut sky alright. Dan seems to have captured in photo, what I have become so used to seeing lately when they do spray. Days of total sky obliviation are the norm around here, with extra special attention paid to sunrise and sunset areas. Today I woke up to a totally grey/white sky, where I could see they were STILL spraying the lines into it,... white on white. Have you caught any of those sunset trails , that are vertical funnel shapes,.. very thick when first laid from the ground, that go straight up, Dan? Those ones that expand into Gigantic proportions very quickly and totally block out the sun thats moving in for the sunset? Those ones are the most unbelievable site, and if you don't have any photos of that, then I have to get in gear here and wear that camera round my neck at all times.

KnewEyes, when I'm at home, I don't have a good view of the sunset. Luckily, I was in the right place at the right time and had my cameras with me. I made it a point to have them with me at all times when I'm wandering around. Each of my little cheap $50 digitals is capable of taking 40 chemtrail pictures. I've seen some pretty wierd sunsets before, but this one really disturbed me.

I don0 have pictures, but i too have witnessed unreal sunsets here in Texas,as I have mentioned on previous posts, and all I can say about it is this--What I am seein is dramatic, extremely unusual, and definitly noticable, I would think red clouds streching horizon to horizon are definitely a little out of the ordinary, adn all I can say is how can people not all be noticing, and talking about, this anomoly??THE SKY LOOKS UNREAL< BUT FEW NOTICE!Some seem unable to look up, as if somehow controled, and it amazes me how many people, most of whom ive never met, will refuse to look up..this is frighting, and I think it's reached an emergency situation, where decisive action must be taken to alert the public at large to what is occuring.....we have to get national attention.....the only way people are going to believe it is if they hear it on the tv

We've had those sunsets too on the worst spray days. They are surreal to say the least. Sunsets are something I've enjoyed my whole life so I know that these are anomalous. The word Armageddon comes to mind.

I know what you mean FLKook, I was thinking the same thing. I had to stand with my back against a wall to keep from running away from it. I was real spooked but I knew that I had to document the event the best that I could because it was just so "anomalous." It seemed so unreal to me, alost like lava flowing down the side of a mountain, but it was very real. The few people I talked about it said it was beautiful and didn't really think too much about it. Of course they didn't have the vantage point that I did, so didn't see what I saw and didn't know what I know. And if it wasn't on TV, on the radio, or in the newspaper, it wasn't really a significant event.

That's about what I saw too. It was a really unusual sunset that night and not one that I ever want to see again. All I know is that I'm not going to drink the water any time soon.

On 2/19/02, Stamford was hit again with a mess that remained in the sky until the 21st.
After I witnessed Jets spraying during the day, the haze began to roll in. I quickly decided to go back to the firehouse and see what I could see. As I got to my vantage point that I have a feeling that I will be using again in the near future, I immediately noticed how bad things really were. Though not as spectacular as the first sunset that I had seen from there, this one was almost just as ominous.

As I stood there taking pictures, a jet flew toward the thickest part of the mess spraying a trail as it went. In the distance I could see 2 more jets spraying.

Not a very peaceful or even remotely beautiful sunset is it?

At first I couldn't see any movement, but as I looked up at the trail that one of the jets had made, I could see that it was slowly creeping southward.

This mess moved south at first, but later during the night as I tracked it on GHCC, it began to move back north. And there it stayed hovering over us as well as most of New England until the 21st.

Well, I hate to admit it, but what I saw when I first made this thread was just a beginning of a real nasty spray campaign. Though not as spectacular as the last 2 sunsets, these pictures will give you an Idea on how bad things really are here in Stamford.

On 2/25/02 I photographed this mess with a black trail in it just before sunset.

This is a picture of a jet making a trail to a big chemcloud. It was taken just before sunset on 3/8/02

The picture above was taken on 3/11/02 approximately an hour before sunset. Just less than an hour before it was photographed, 3 jets made trails just to the north of my location. At the time that the picture was taken, there were 5 jets making trails in that part of the sky.

Just before sunset on the 3/11/02, this is what I saw.

It happened again.

A pattern in the sky was seen on 3/14/02

As well as an X

Then another nasty sunset can be seen.

And a jet makes a trail in the mess flying toward the sun as it sets.

And a trail spreads above my head.

Hey Dan, that third picture from 3/14 is a GREAT example of the "shadow" type trail. I hope you get some better "weather" soon. Does the air smell like burnt plastic?

Not yet Penumbra. I've been kind of lucky that the stuff hasn't blown right in my face. Most of the mess was moving slowly south on the 14th.

On 2/20/02 KrissaTMC2 captured a rather startling image that she found while checking the GHCC site and just recently emailed it to me. Of course 2/20/02 was the the second day of a 3 day spraying campaign and this large cloud mass pretty much remained there the whole time.

Not a pretty picture of the cloud cover especiallly when it looks like a big old rattle snake or serpent breathing fire.

Just 3 pictures of a nasty sunset after a day of heavy spraying to the west of us on 4/7/02.

If you're wondering where the music came from, I liked a song that Mark Sky had posted on another thread and thought it perfect for this thread and so I borrowed it.

On 4/8/02 we were sprayed really bad and here are just a few of the pictures that I took during that day.

A trail floats toward the sun

Two fat trails float by

bad looking clouds begin to float in from the west

Three trails then float by.

Then finally another really bad sunset.
