Naval Command Control and Ocean Surveillance Center, RDT&E Division (NRaD) researchers require both signal and noise level predictions to predict the coverage of the Navy's very low frequency (VLF) and low frequency (LF) transmitters. They have performed this task for many years. Currently researchers use digitized noise level predictions based on a report issued by the Comite Consultatif International Des Radiocommunications, CCIR Report 322-3. This technical document addresses the statistical parameters that specify the atmospheric noise variability around the predicted values of Farn in CCIR Report 322. These parameters are designated as Omega Fam, Du, D1, Omega Du and Omega DI. This technical document describes the CCIR Report 322 methods for calculating the predicted noise variation parameters from the measured data. It also provides suggestions for interpreting and using the CClR Report 322 noise variation parameters. Topics covered include the CCIR uncertainty parameters themselves, combining these CClR uncertainty parameters with predicted daily signal variations. plots of the CClR Report 322 noise variation parameters, and interpolation between time blocks and seasons.

Fox News reported on missing bees this morning. They said that recent studies have concluded that they're dying from interference from cell phones, but no references were given. In this report, it was stated that the cell phone transmissions interfered with their directional abilities, leaving them stranded from their homes. _________________ “To the last, I grapple with thee; From Hell's heart, I stab at thee; For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee” |

Thanks for the link G-Man. If it's killing them off, what's it doing to us? Personally, I don't see the payoff here.
Our Honeybees fertilize nearly all the seed-bearing plants which we use for food, or feed our live-stock. Is it worth wiping them out so stupid 15 year old kids can text their friends with Newspeak instead of paying attention in class? _________________ “To the last, I grapple with thee; From Hell's heart, I stab at thee; For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee” |

I watched a news clip about eight or nine months ago about scientists who cooked a raw egg with two cell phones that were in constant communication. After two hours the egg was hardboiled.
This is your brain:
This is your brain on cell phones:
see/google : "Orientation and Communication in Arthropods" to draw your own interpretations of what cell phone waves are doing to the communication system of bees, then apply that knowledge to possible effect on the human mind. This volume deals with the most fascinating aspects of sensory performance studied in insects, crustaceans and spiders. Arthropods inhabit practically every conceivable ecological niche, and are perfectly adapted to cope with the constraints of their natural habitats. They move on the ground, in water, and in the air. They use visual, olfactory, acoustical, vibratory, and tactile cues for orientation, to recognize and pinpoint their target, their home place, a feeding site, a prey, or a potential mate. Many arthropods use celestial (skylight) and terrestrial (magnetic) compass cues for orientation, and some of them were shown to develop, through experience, oriented behaviours based on a variety of innate, hard-wired orientation mechanisms. In many cases, aspects of behaviour that are involved in orientation cannot be separated from inter- and intraspecific communication. The book brings to the fore the role of communication not only in social and sexual behaviours, but also in the context of oriented locomotion. Top, internationally renowned scientists have contributed to this volume and have succeeded in presenting a book full of highlights which will be of great interest to workers in this field of research. _________________ Paradigms of Vigilance. |

Could be anything, what makes you think it's Cell Towers? I have no idea what these things are for, and no idea about the science behind them. I have posted pics of a variety of towers and cameras which I thought were wierd or out of place. Any feedback or personal experience would be appreciated. _________________ “To the last, I grapple with thee; From Hell's heart, I stab at thee; For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee” |
