I wholeheartedly agree. I would personally hate to belive Orwell was a part of this, he's the one to whom I attribute my personal awakening:
"He who controls the present, controls the past. He who controls the past, controls the future."
Wouldn't they be pissed at him slipping us this little gem? Also from Orwell:
"If there was hope, it lay in the proles, because only there could the force to destroy the Party ever be generated...If only they could somehow become conscious of their own strength."
