Interesting article Dan. Thanks. Don't think this is an orb cam though...

The air cam might not be an orb, but then again, it might be. It is certainly based on the same technology that NASA has been playing around since the 1970's and was probably originally designed to explore other planets, but like everything else, was modified to be used for military applications. The air cam was not teathered to anything and operated under its own power and had maneuverability characteristics remarkably similar to an orb.

I was outside today soaking up some rays, and with (sunglasses on) sun covered by roof edge I witnessed what looked like satellites (if it is in fact possible to see satellites in the daytime) ~ although my first instinct was to think orb ~ most following the same South to North route (one seemed to have a mind of it's own though and veered to the East), pass right over the noon-day sun, at a fairly steady rate...both in speed and numbers. Saw lots. If I took my eye off the light {satellite} for a second I'd loose it in the bright sky. Very busy place up there; a rare treat to see the multitudes of aerial displays on this real blue sky day indeedy.

I'd have to say that you probably did see orbs Lulu. either that, or the craft that I've been observing over the last few years decided to pay you a visit.

Hello.

That large pic posted below by Lulu is not an Aircam.

That image has been misrepresented by someone, and here's why:

The proper way it should be viewed is by rotating the image 90 degrees left, because it is a still taken from a video which appeared on the net around maybe two years ago.

An amateur cameraman was filming some kind of debris falling from the sky which was burning. At the time, it was assumed to be a sattelite re-entering Earths atmosphere. Anyway, the guy filmed it until it disappeared.

He was obviously very excited by this and was discussing it with his wife, when they noticed the pictured object streaking across the sky diagonally to his left, so obviously, they filmed that.

It didn't look like any jet aircraft that I've seen, but then again, I'm no expert. It was also moving extremely fast.

Now, I haven't seen this footage discussed since it first appeared and I've been unable to locate the footage so far, but I do remember that it was in Realplayer format and may have appeared on some TV Stations website.

I'm currently trying to locate this footage, so if anyone can even remember it, I would be grateful.

Michael.

The Autonomous Extravehicular Activity Robotic Camera Sprint (AERCam Sprint) is an experiment planned to demonstrate the use of a prototype free-flying television camera that could be used for remote inspections of the exterior of the International Space Station.

The AERCam Sprint free-flyer is a 14-inch diameter, 35-pound sphere that contains two television cameras, an avionics system and 12 small nitrogen gas-powered thrusters. The sphere, which looks like an oversized soccer ball, was released by Mission Specialist Winston Scott during the STS-87 spacewalk and flew
freely in the forward cargo bay for about 30 minutes. The free-flyer was remotely controlled by Pilot Steve Lindsey from the Shuttle's aft flight deck using a hand controller, two laptop computers and a window-mounted antenna. The AERCam is designed to fly very slowly at a rate of less than one-quarter of a foot per second. Remote control of the AERCam is performed through two-way Ultra High Frequency radio communications, with data regarding the status of the free-flyer's systems transmitted back to the operator. Television images are transmitted back to the operator via a one-way S-band communications link. During the experiment operations, live television images also will be relayed via Columbia to Mission Control. Two miniature color television cameras are mounted on the free-flyer, one with a 6 millimeter lens and another with a 12 millimeter lens. The exterior of the free-flyer sphere is covered with a sixth-tenths of an inch-thick layer of Nomex felt to cushion any inadvertent contact with a spacecraft surface and prevent damage.

Most of the free-flyer's systems are derived from the development of the Simplified Aid for EVA Rescue (SAFER) backpack. The AERCam's thrusters, basic avionics, solid-state rate sensors, attitude hold electronics, nitrogen tank and hand controller are identical to those used on the SAFER. The AERCam thrusters, however, produce eight-hundredths of a pound of thrust while the SAFER thrusters produced eight-tenths of a pound of thrust.

The free-flyer is powered by lithium batteries. Its electrical supply and nitrogen supply are designed to last at least seven hours, the maximum length of a normal spacewalk. The AERCam sphere has a small floodlight built in that is identical to floodlights used on the helmets of spacesuits. Spaced equally around the sphere also are six, small, flashing yellow light-emitting diode lights that make the free-flyer visible to the operator in darkness.

The front of the sphere is marked by stripes and arrows while the back is marked by dots. These markings assist the operator in determining the orientation of the AERCam. A small fabric strap on the sphere serves as a handhold for the spacewalker while deploying and retrieving the free flyer.

Welcome Mist0003,

"That image has been misrepresented by someone, and here's why:"

The photographer is NOT misrepresenting the picture that he took. It did NOT come from a video still, but was taken this February with a digital camera. Please back up your claim with PROOF Mist003.

Furthermore, the link you provided in e-mail took me to this page ~ http://members.lycos.co.uk/michael003/fireball.htm

with these two pictures ~

The fact that you've taken mb's orb and chemtrail picture and turned it sideways means nothing as well. Is this all the proof you have? Where is the video you claim this orb and trail picture is from?

Thanks for posting the information about the AERCam David. I knew I wasn't imagining seeing the thing buzzing around the cargo bay and that it was a real thing even though the footage if it was in a UFO documentary.
