Another highly persistent trail on the west coast

On 6/28/02 while checking satellite images, I noticed that there was another really big trail over the west coast. I ran an animation of the satellite images and found that it looked like I as dealing with another persistent trail that was very similar to the one that both Krissa and I had tracked a while ago. The earliest time that I could track the trail back to was 1715 UTC but was probably formed earlier judging by the size of it. The trail is partially obstructed by cloud cover.

The trail is still visible at 2115 UTC and has moved south from out beneath the surrounding cloud cover.

At 0415 UTC on 6/29/02, the Trail has finally begun to fade away as the haze thickens around it.

Thanx Krissa. I definitely think we should look for more of them. It's bound to happen again.
BTW Krissa, I haven't done the calculations yet, but it looks like this one might be a little more persistent than the last one. |
