Strange sighting with blast of white light

I was outside one night taking the dogs out for last run before bed - 10:45 PM on May 2, 2002. Lived in country, clear dark night - lots of stars out. I watched the skies as usual as have seen plenty of strange things, but that night was the strangest. Watched a red dot travel from northerly to southerly direction, straight course, no blinking. Watched it until it disappeared. Few moments later, I looked back in the general direction it had disappeared and to my amazements saw it travelling back to the north on the same exact line it had left on. As it got closer it suddenly blasted out this intense white light behind it - almost in a triangular shape behind it. Has anyone seen anything like this or read about anything like this?

My dad told me (around 1985) that he had observed two UFO's interact. They were 'point of light' size, in the night sky. 2nd UFO approached the 1st, the 1st one emitted a light field in an apparent defensive action, like a force field, according to Dad. His description was identical to your picture, except I can't remember which color of UFO gave off the "force field". The two UFOs were said to be of two different colors.
I personally witnessed a red dot UFO 'zing' from east horizon to west horizon. It took about 30 seconds for it to complete it's arch trajectory. This took place in about 1990. One other person with me saw it, too.

Hi Redeemerson,
Thanks so much for your reply post and for sharing the sighting your dad had - very well could be what was happening with my sighting. If there were another craft, I may not have seen it as I was totally watching the red dot and would have probably zoned out anything else around it. Maybe that is also why it came back on its exact path, that it was trying to evade something it had come up against. I also thought it could have been testing some type of force field or weapon, and whether alien craft or man-made, is another whole kettle of fish.
I often wonder what the coloring difference is in the sightings we have. You witnessed the red dot and I had one other sighting of a red dot probably same year or with in a year or so of the other one. It was almost like it was trying to get my attention as it ascended in a lazy, slow spiral pattern until it winked out.
I, too, believe in the war going on between Satan and God, and it is all around us, all intwined in the ufos we see & in NWO agenda. The great deceiver is hard at work.

Here's a video documenting a sighting here in Illinois. Police officers were chasing this thing. I think they make pretty reliable witnesses:
