Bush approved the use of spy satellites for domestic spying today. Here's the Wall Street Journal article:
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB118714764716998275.html?mod=googlenews_wsj
"Access to the high-tech surveillance tools would, for the first time, allow Homeland Security and law-enforcement officials to see real-time, high-resolution images and data, which would allow them, for example, to identify smuggler staging areas, a gang safehouse, or possibly even a building being used by would-be terrorists to manufacture chemical weapons." _________________ “To the last, I grapple with thee; From Hell's heart, I stab at thee; For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee” |

Nice Find perverted_introvert
What it actually means is our most private comings and goings can and will be monitored 24/7.
It's the perfect invisible silent surviellance tool, it can't be knocked out unless you can reach 250.000 miles out into space.
Local authorities and code enforcement will no longer patrol physically instead they will send you a citation by mail because they see you're building a shed without permission, you'll be arrested for sunbathing nude in your own back yard (public indecency}. Big Brother is almost complete, Voice/speech, and visuals in place, i can only suggest keeping your blinds/curtains pulled, because we are on Candid Camera.
I may be over exagerating, it seems to be on the same lines as public phone tapping which i know is going on.
But if it catches a few terrorist its doing it's job. _________________ What i know can't harm me, it's what i dont know that really scares me. |

Did you know they can currently detect gunshots?
Did you know the average New Yorker is photographed 75 times a day?
Did you know the average Londoner is photographed 300 times a day?
Why? If they are average, what's the point I wonder.... _________________ “To the last, I grapple with thee; From Hell's heart, I stab at thee; For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee” |

There was an NPR story today about someone who invented a program to track Wiki Edits. Apparently you can find traces of large companies cleaning up their image on wikipedia.... _________________ “To the last, I grapple with thee; From Hell's heart, I stab at thee; For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee” |

Drug testing entire cities?

Surprise! Thanks to modern science, it's now possible to drug test an entire city.
http://www.comcast.net/news/index.jsp?cat=GENERAL&fn=/2007/08/21/745048.html&cvqh=itn_drugtest
"Researchers have figured out how to give an entire community a drug test using just a teaspoon of wastewater from a city's sewer plant."
If this technology is being made public, just imagine what can be done behind closed doors! _________________ “To the last, I grapple with thee; From Hell's heart, I stab at thee; For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee” |

On my walk today, a white van was coming up the street. It kept stopping, moving forward, then stopping again. It caught my eye, and eventually pulled up right next to me. On the side of it was written, "Cook County
Digital Photography Project"

http://www.co.cook.il.us/agencyDetail.php?pAgencyID=40
Digital Photography Project
Through the Department of Office Technology's Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Program, special photography vans are currently taking digital photographs of the exterior of every residence and business in the County and validating its address as part of the County's Digital Photography Project. The data will be used by agencies throughout the County for daily decision support. _________________ “To the last, I grapple with thee; From Hell's heart, I stab at thee; For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee” |
