Little reminder about storing images on reliable servers...

Heads up, and word to the wise about storing your images on some servers.
I have spent the last two hours locating and copying the images that were originally stored on the xs.to server and posted in this thread,
http://www.chemtrailcentral.com/forum/msg97072.html#97072
over to photobucket.com. It seems the original server wasn't keeping all the images available, yet strange enough a few are still working on the same thread. I am in the process of trying to find and copy all the other images over to photobucket as well, and rebuilding this thread.
If you have threads with images embedded in them it might be wise to go back and make sure the image links still work, or your threads will just show a little box with an x in it. It is very time consuming to have to rebuild old threads.

Hello stitcherman,
Its really quite simple. First, there are a few ways to do it.
You can upload the image to this site in your album then copy the image code to you post like this...
or for the full image you put this code without the asterisk in the brackets...
[*fullalbumimg]1320[/fullalbumimg*]
that is one way to do it.
The other way requires you to open an account with an image server, (I like to use photobucket.com) you have to upload the image to the server and then copy the image code for display like this only without the asterisk in the brackets, I put them in there so it would not display the image on purpose.
[*img]http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa80/starman1_album/03-27-06rainbow029-2.jpg[/img*]
Here is what it looks like without the asterisk in the tag brackets...
You can see how other post are done by using the quote function, it is a good way to familiarize yourself with different techniques and see who uses what servers and the codes they use that work as well.
If you have any trouble just keep asking questions, I'll help all I can... |
