It's interesting. The standard definition of a contrail hasn't changed since 2002 but where we are seeing them has changed. They are getting better at cloud seeding compared to 2002. The first group was from 5/3/2002 it is a cirrocumulus deck that was over top my home. The second group is 1/16/09, it's an altocumulus deck. They do a good job of seeding these clouds. Alto Cumulus deck 1/16/09... I've seen they've gotten better from the May 3,2002 sample...









Cloud seeding a cirro-cumulus deck on May 3,2002 over my house...
