Well I dont know what kind of stupid shower you have....... j/k

Anyway, the reason they go away later is because I open the door and let in air that isnt very suitable for keeping the moisture visable. If the saturated air stayed the same, as it does on days you see contrails lasting a long time, it will last almost indefinatly. But when I start circulating different unstable air into the room, it disapates.

I guess that would have been better wording, huh

I used "unstable" to mean air that is different than the air inside the room. Then it mixes with that air and becomes "unstable" in a sense.

So you're saying the shower condensation in the air would stay there, unchanged, for 24 hours if nobody opened the door.

What planet are you from again?

Remember the crack under the door? That also lets in drier air. So, in reality, it wouldnt stay, but if you did it in a room with no possible way for foregin air to get into the room it would remain.

But of course, then you would suffocate, so thats probably why they dont put these rooms into production

So you're implying that the sky stays exactly the same... from cold midnight until sunny hot midafternoon?

No of course not, thats why you dont see the same contrail for days on end. But airmasses can maintain the same properties for a pretty good length of time. And when they are as stable as that, then contrails can last a good length of time.

I suggest you get yourself a barometer....

why do you suppose that new mexico is drier the louisiana ?

nevermind cold dry air will usually render short lived trails and moist air will render fat spreading trails like the photo I posted.... emfx those are ALL commercial flight contrails...

my new years resolution was not to talk trails anymore...damn...

So that's why they start making the trails at night (cold) so that they are around during the day (hot). I thought a change in the "shower" makes them disappear.
