That looks like a 747-400, of which non are tankers. The black thing on the right is an engine. Notice the inboard right engine just under the fuselage. |

Erm...but it is a 747-400? Do you know what a 747-400 looks like? I see nothing wrong with that picture, indeed it looks like a Lufthansa 747-400 (which rules out US military intervention). The white spect on the upper right is the right wingley, the dark area on the right is the number 4 engine, in the shadow of the wing. The wing itself is visible as a 45 degree line. The two engines on the left are illuminated (like the right winglet).
The blue fin with the yellow circle suggests it's a Lufthansa. |

ITS A 747-400! *crys* Why cant you see that?? The "orb" is the starboard winglet! The "boom" is the #4 engine! Its a 747!!!
*Note: I cannot defend the proposition that it is a Lufthansa aircaft. If the photo is recent, then it most likely isnt Lufthansa, because Lufthansa replaced the last of their 747s a year ago or so.
