I wont assume, suggest what this pic shows is taking place but i would just like some honest replies without the sarcastic as to the one major thing that seems to be in violation here! Note the 2 planes are the same size suggesting their alt must be close!

Probably just shred it instead! Thanks for your comment though very helpful.

I should shred my FAR-AIM? Although it would lighten my flight bag a bit, Im thinking that wouldnt be the best of ideas.

But, let me get this straight. Hatchet, do you believe that everything in those photos (the last one for example) are chemicals that have been sprayed out of aircraft? Or do you think that some might actually be clouds.

Phx i have yet to have a say as to what anything seeming to come from a airplane is just for the record! My intentions was why are these 2 planes so close? The other photos although far distant seem to show the same thing,With all this civilian air traffic increase they have to fly almost side by side or is this the infamous unmarked whities??? Either way dont sway the topic and have an insightful comment!

Because thats sometimes how it works up there. Any number of reasons why these aircraft were so close. Its not evil or anything, its just what the controller felt was necessary. One aircraft was possibly slower than the other, and ATC gave the faster aircraft a higher alitude to safely pass the slower.

Again, airliners tend to navigate on "highways in the sky". High-altitude airways. When you have many aircraft on these airways, you will obviously get some conflicts.

These aircraft are not as close as they seem to be. These are very large aircraft seen from 7 miles directly below. Pilots just dont say to each other, "hey lets go fly real close to that plane". It is a very organized and planned out procedure being watched quite closely.

In all the pics, due to the perspective from the ground, the aircraft look alot closer in vertical separation than they are.... they are 2-4 thousand feet apart from each other vertically.

If you were standing at 20,000 feet, it would look alot differently. Keep in mind..once again.. you are standing on the ground looking straight up 7 miles away from these aircraft.
