Virga, if defined as evaporation of precipitation before impact with the surface, happens at all levels of the troposphere. Cirrus clouds and contrails often precipitate because the crystals in them grow too large to remain suspended. As the crystals fall out of the cloud, they produce the same type of fall streaks as the rain virga coming out of clouds closer to the surface. The ice crystals fall into dry air below and sublime and dissappear just as rain drops sometimes fall into dry air and evaporate making the more familiar form of virga.
Cirrus clouds are wierd beasts. Often, the cloud itself will consist of a small generating cell at the top. The virga produced by the cell will fall out and spread with the wind shear covering areas 100's of times greater than the generating cell. Same thing for persistent contrails. Other cirrus types like cirrostratus form in more stable layers and do not produce much precipitation. |

Again, you can PROVE to yourself these are NOT ice crystals! You can SEE planes leaving SPRAY and those that are NOT at the same altitudes and conditions. You can SEE the spray turned OFF.
This spray produces very fine POLYMER FILAMENTS that can be seen in a myriad of ways. Don't get CONned by the CONdensation line here. |

SEEING IS NOT PROOF! How many times do I have to say that? Gee, I see baseball players on my TV screen, so they must be back there in my television. What you see is not always what it is!
Again, if you can find a photo of the innards of a chemtrail plane, then that is evidence. This is not.
Note: Judging by the amount of chemtrails people on here say are being sprayed at any one time, there must be an absolutly HUGE fleet of "white, blank, mysterious" aircraft just sitting around at the AFB's around the country. Do we see these hundreds of spraying aircraft? No we dont. |

Planes have been flying for MANY years folks. Do you think everybody just went crazy and saw them in late 1998?? NO!

This is WHY the first sightings also included spider-web like material over trees, power lines etc. Then as money, time progressed, more camoflaged looking PLAIN WHITE tanker type planes have been added to their ranks. These still SPRAY a polymer mix, but the system has been adjusted to reduce the fibers to ALMOST invisible tiny fragments. The thing to do is NOT listen to the 'white noise generators' of the debunksters here.
FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF who's telling the truth and who isn't. Get a HEPA air filter and collect those fibers. Check them out under a blacklight after leaving dark clothing outside after spraying. TEST these things FOR YOURSELVES! You'll quickly validate who's full of crap and who's NOT!
CHECK those old weather books PRIOR to 1998. NOTICE the skies in movies PRIOR to 1998 and see the difference. Got any old newscasts showing satellite photos? Look at the difference compared to today.
The government has already ADMITTED doing this. The debunkies never address this. The patents to spray are real. The process was openly proven in a public FL test.

Snows Bring Drought Relief to Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan, March 5, 2003 (ENS) - The snows have finally come to Afghanistan, bringing partial relief from a crippling four year drought that has reduced the national livestock total by over half and turned pastures into deserts.
Heavy snowfalls in February came as bad news for thousands of returning Afghan refugees who fled 23 years of war in this country and are now shivering in damp tents and war-damaged buildings in Kabul and other centers across the country.

But for the country’s small farmers who make up 85 percent of the population, and normally provide over 60 percent of its exports, the snowfalls in the mountains which provide Afghanistan with most of its annual water supply were a blessing.
Sultan Mahmood, head of the Hydrology and Water Control Eepartment in the Ministry of Irrigation, said the recent falls of snow and rain had restored the country’s water resources to 75 percent of their normal levels. “And Inshallah, (God willing), the coming year will see an abundance of water for the people of Afghanistan,” he said.
The snowfalls were not a moment too soon for many Afghans, particularly the ethnic Kuchi nomads who are thought to make up some 10 percent of the population of some 24 million, and who provide much of the country’s livestock as they cross the country with their sheep and camels looking for grazing land.
President Hamed Karzai mentioned the plight of the Kuchis in a recent speech, saying, “The presence of mines in the mountains, on their traditional routes and on the pastures has become a huge problem for the nomads, and the reason that most of them have lost their herds.”
Only a few weeks ago, before the latest snowfalls, officials were reporting that in some parts of the country, particularly in the southwest, livestock losses were as high as 90 percent. Apart from the drought, they, and others involved in agriculture, have had to contend with war and its aftermath, in the form of millions of land mines littering the countryside.
Wahida Azizi of the World Food Programme said the water level in wells across the country has fallen by between five and 12 metres. “People are not able to dig deep wells, and are having to spend what little money they have on buying drinking water. Many are leaving their villages and coming to cities,” she said.
Azizi said that in addition to the critical shortage of food caused by the livestock losses, which has forced Afghanistan to import meat and grain from neighbors such as Pakistan and Iran, the shortage of animals is affecting the production of handicrafts, particularly articles made out of leather and sheepskin which traditionally make up an important part of Afghanistan’s exports.
“In the country overall livestock totals are down 55 percent, due mainly to the drought between 1999 and the present, and the civil war which forced people to migrate without being able to take their animals with them,” said Mohammad Hanif, the head of the Animal Husbandry Department in the Agriculture Ministry.
“The meadows were planted with mines. There wasn’t enough food for the animals, and many were killed by the Taliban,” he said.
Other factors he cited were a lack of medical equipment by veterinarians, which, coupled with the poor security situation as fighting raged between rival Islamic groups in the country, meant they were unable to carry out animal vaccination programs.
“We cannot make up the damage to the fields over the past four years through natural fertilization, we will have to use artificial fertilizers,” Hanif said. The government is also working on a program, along with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to rebuild national livestock levels with the use of frozen sperm imported from abroad, and is considering introducing genetically modified strains of animals able to resist disease.
Dr. Safi, the FAO’s national project officer, said the organization is providing support for over 250 clinics across the country - and a vaccination program that has already covered over one million animals - to eradicate a worm that was further reducing the livestock herd.
One particularly virulent disease affecting Afghanistan’s herd has caused the deaths of unborn animals due to lack of food available to their mothers, officials said.
Deputy Agriculture Minister Mohammad Sharif said that a major reconstruction process is required to renovate drains, wells and canals, and to distribute genetically modified crops, agricultural equipment, pesticides and veterinary medicines to farmers at an affordable price.
He said his department has launched Afghanistan's first ever national livestock survey to find out exactly how many animals it has and what problems they face.
Meanwhile, Afghans everywhere, right up to the top levels of government, are being urged to do their bit to ensure that the country gets through the current food crisis. A few weeks ago, Karzai ordered all government office canteens to ban meat from the menu for three days a week, in order to conserve stocks.

Yes Lulu I have also posted these stories also. HOWEVER, it is the DRACONIAN LAWS and destruction that the globalists have sought in the first place. Restrictions they aren't in a rush to lift! The pattern of reporting chemtrail sightings across the globe beginning late 1998 and the ASSOCIATED droughts are not cooincidence.

I LIVE here in Indiana and we SAW the chemtrails laid down before the storm. Again we SAW the front modified and it's activity REDUCED. What should have been a lively thunderstorm was muted down to 2 lousy rumbles and a few scattered sprinkles here. The predicted forecast by the National weather service called for heavy storms which is what we SHOULD have gotten.
The continuing PATTERN of observable modification is easy for anybody to see. Again, check out books with photos PRIOR to late 1998 and SEE THE DIFFERENCE! Even in satellite photos you can SEE the modification. It's not like they're HIDING anything, the debunksters here just create a smokescreen so you won't remember that they've already ADMITTED to weather modificaton flights.
Again this began to be noticed by MANY people after late 1998. I myself took these photos of a heavy thunderstorm being modified in 99 or 2000. It was a very heavy storm and the effects were more notable than the lighter varieties.

Clandestine weather modification or "weather-ops" are classified as "stealth terror" -- the targeted decision-makers are told what is happening and quickly give in and the people are too weak and distressed to do anything to protest.

confusion and fear concerning what is being done to our atmosphere and why.
The time has come to subject the following as-yet-unrefuted but also
under-tested thesis to every possible criticism andtest that disinterested
research can bring to bear.
The Clandestine Weather Modification Thesis:
Since at least 1992 major weather events have been shaped by the application
of technologies that alternately heat or cool precise parcels of the lower
atmosphere, thereby decreasing or increasing, respectively, the density of
those parcels, in order to alter the pressure-system dynamics that otherwise
would naturally obtain; this being a means of governing the movement of heat
and moisture within the atmosphere, but also of redirecting wind-pushed
currents of warm or cool water near the surface of the seas -- the
interaction of marine and atmospheric events both monitored and anticipated
by real-time sensors, signal-processing, and intervention hardware.
Let us consider the two distinct sets of technologies that give Clandestine
Weather Modification its directive "push" and "pull" capabilities,
technologies involving the generation of cloud, using aircraft, and the
dissipation of cloud, using remote high- energy radio-energy generating
stations respectively.
How "Chemtrail" Cloud "Pushes" Weather Systems
If CWM is real, then the non-dissipating cloud-cover-creating
contrails/chemtrails terrifying the observant are most-likely being deployed
to reduce the amount of solar energy reaching precisely determined patches
of the earth's survace, land or ocean, in order to effect
lower-than-otherwise surface temperatures and, concomitantly,
higher-than-otherwise barometric pressure in the troposphere, or lower
atmosphere, immediately above the patch.
(Consider a pan on a stove with water heated a-little-short of the boiling
point. The heat at the bottom of the pan sets up convection currents,and
thus a circulating "weather" system is created in the fluid medium. But if
only half of the pan's bottom surface is heated, the pattern of circulation
will change in complex, but not wholly chaotic (unpredictable) ways. It is
to effect this kind of dynamic pattern change that carefully calculated loci
of chemtrailed cloud sunblock are introduced in the thermally driven
atmosphere. In this way chemtrailing redirects air-current flows, speeds or
slows them, or detains them in places so the air can gain or loose heat and
moisture. And when chemtrailing of cloud is done over the sea, the same
principle results in a change in the winds that push surface waters --a
result that puts the immense heat-energy reservoir of the tropical seas at
the disposal of the weather modifiers, giving them the capability of
steering great parcels of warm or cooler sea water from one geographical
region to another -- an action fertile in catastrophic consequences of
terrifying variety.
How Applied Radio Physics "Pulls" Weather Systems
A second meteorological mystery that the clandestine weather modification
thesis explains is the sudden -- almost instantaneous-- disappearance of
cloud before the eyes of amazed onlookers.
This feat is the work of a second technology, one that yields an effect the
opposite of that caused by chemtrailing, i.e, it eliminates high-altitude
cloud in order to allow more of the sun's radiant energy to warm a targeted
patch of earth surface more than would occur without this intervention. This
cloud-busting- effected heating of patches of surface decreases the density
of the air immediately above the patch, causing that air to rise, thereby
creating a low-pressure cell that will pull in (as wind) higher-pressure air
adjacent to the patch. (This is like adding extra heat to just one small
spot on the bottom of a pan of water to affect convection patterning.
To gain a better grasp of the physics involved, get a wide cake pan, two or
three candles, some liquid food coloring and some candle holders. Place the
pan of water over an arrangement of lit candles, then drop in some of the
food coloring so that you can follow the circulation of water in the
fluid "atmosphere." Change the relative locations of the candle-heated spots
and see how the convective flow patterns change.)
Few meteorologists are familiar with the story of Dr. Florence W. van
Straten and her discovery of "cloud breaking."
Differential heating of parcels of air to quickly dissipate natural cloud
accumulation is a process pioneered in the late 1940's by Dr. van Straten,
then a Navy meteorologist. Van Straten hit upon the idea of using
blowingcarbon black (i.e., soot) into the atmosphere through a section of
stovepipe sticking out the openeddoor of modified Superconstellation
"Hurricane Hunter." Carbon black admits almost no light and is more than 99
percent efficient in capturing every bit of light energy falling upon it.Van
Straten knew that theoretically "a pound of very finely divided carbon
scattered in the bright sunshine picks up enough energy each minute to raise
the temperature of eleven tons of water from the freezing point to the
boiling point." And even within a cloud, there is still enough light
reflected from water droplets and hitting the carbon particles from all
sides to heat the cloud sufficiently to undo vapor condensation. In the
very first experiment, when a one-pound dose of carbon was ejected into a
cloud formation growing from a base of about 2,500 to a top at about 11,000
feet ("with crisp and sharp edges and turrets looking like boiling
cauldrons, stretching upward another thousand feet or so") the carbon took a
few minutes to warm, but then the results became dramatic, as recorded from
several photo-reconnaissance planes monitoring the experiment. Multiple
motion pictures from different altitudes show "that after several minutes
during which nothing happened, the cloud suddenly spurted upward from a
point just above our flight level. A tunnel formed where we had flown
though the cloud, opening and widening rapidly until the cloud was sliced in
two. The upper section darted up several thousand feet, becoming very wispy
and transparent. Moments after its push upwards, it thinned out and was
gone. Almost simultaneously, the bottom half of the cloud turned very dark
and, as though a giant had wiped a sponge over a slate, it, too,
disappeared. The observers were unanimous in testifying that there was
nothing gradual about the process. 'Now you see it. Now you don,t,' the
pilot of a jet plane flying toward the cloud reported." So regardless of
its presence or absence in current journals, technology for removal of
sun-blocking atmospheric cloud by increasing its interior temperature has
been established by the most unassailable criterion; it has been done.
(Perhaps not irrelevant is the fact that van Straten was immediately
reassigned and her project terminated when the first progress report of this
revolutionary experiment (including even more impressive replications)
reached the Pentagon; "I was forced to return to Washington because I was
needed (?)and the planes were needed elsewhere... (yet) I was sure I had a
tool for performing significant work in weather modification."

Clandestine Weather Modification of course does not rely on broadcasting
soot to heat cloud. Advanced radio physics has yielded a technology that
permits high-frequency high-energy waves to be projected to the ionosphere
which in turn serves to reflect and focus excited (heated) electrons and
ions onto 30-mile-diameter targets thousands of miles from the transmission
point. This means of heating objects from a distance gives CWM its
weather-system "pull" in two ways:
1) By heating cloud enough for cloud dissipation to occur, thereby
permitting more of the sun's radiation to reach and heat targeted
earth-surface patches; and
2) By heating those land and sea-surface patches (and maybe the molecules
and ions of the unclouded lower atmosphere itself) directly with high-energy
particle streams focused down through an already cloudless upper atmosphere.
(Note: this second technique requires much more transmission energy to
achieve a given amount of CWM pull, as it does not rely on the sun to do the
additional "the heavy lifting." (It should also be remarked that the vast
amounts of electrical power this techology requires can, in fact, easily be
supplied in abundance by tapping natural gas at oil wells of Alaska's North
Slope. In fact,Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has long held a
patent that includes the design of a 40-mile-square transmitter for
ionospheric bombardment utilizing that very source.
The problem of signal processing.
Data collection, data processing, and the faster-than-real-time
modeling-for-prediction of nonlinear dynamical systems (where small changes
in initial conditions can have incalculably divergent effects if the
"corrective interventions cannot be calculated and applied fast enough are
not a problem for CWM given present known scientific capabilities.
Often presented as insurmountable obstacles for weather modification, the
barriers imposed by tendencies toward fundamental unpredictabilty in systems
of organized complexity only exist if one is attempting to change weather
too far in the future using only one single intervention applied at time t =
0. Clandestine weather modification, in order to work at all, i.e., in order
to beat the tendency of nonlinear dynamic systems to chaotic pattern
divergence, must utilize continuous feedback and correction, and this is
exactly what existing weather monitoring instrumentalities andhigh-speed
computers and software have been capable of doing at least since 1992.
Sociological, Political and
Economic Considerations
People in authority within the United States Government and various powerful
non-governmental organizations (NGOs) during the course of World War II and
the Cold War have gained managerial control over secret, originally
defense-related applied technologies, including -- as the increasingly
complete historical record now shows -- technologies that afford practical
control of discrete weather events --as the experience of Florence W. van
Straten and the fate of the great weather-modification breakthrough -- what
should have been the triumph of her career -- described above, vividly
demonstrates.
Unfortunately it is in the nature of secrecy in organizations that those
bureaucrats and those CEO's of NGOs who control events through officially
secret means, soon come under strong temptation to employ their clandestine
power to affect economic markets for the benefit of their own, i.e., for the
people who enjoy the privilege of privately networking "inside" systems of
governance, people accountable to no one but themselves. It is for such as
these that the existence of a secret defense technology for controlling
weather would
present a great "moral hazzard," a temptation to help one's family and
friends to make a lot of money from exclusive knowledge and control of
future weather events.
Weather is the most powerful and volatile variable in the human food-supply
system, and as a consequence of this, in the fluctuations of the commodities
and futures markets worldwide.
Weather disasters involve billions of dollars in emergency funds, recovery
loans, and reconstruction investment. Insurance companies are depleted of
capital, marginalizing them as competition for other big players in the
financial markets --cut in their supply of loanable funds amounting billions
worldwide in the course of the super-weather-disaster- ridden 1990's.
Nor should we overlook the suspicious new "weather derivative" created in
recent years, a financial instrument that permits big finance to package and
sell risk-management "bets" on what buyers assume to be crap-shoot "acts of
God" or of randomly bridled and unbridled "nature," never suspecting that
the "game" has been loaded by clandestine weather modification. (British
financiers developed the first publically offered weather derivatives, by
the way.)
And finally there is the obvious contingency that giant Wall Street
capitalized agribusiness is able to buy up thousands of acres of small
family farms and Western ranches following economic distress and foreclosure
of securitized first and second mortgages, when crops fail too many years in
a row due to drought, flood, or even merely unseasonable "normal" weather
onsets.
In all of the above one should keep in mind the economic reality that, in an
economic disaster, assets are not destroyed, they merely change hands. Bad
weather ruins crops, but usually leaves the future usefulness of the land
unaffected. What a hurricane destroys in one decade -- temporarily
depressing real estate values, may, ten years later, be the jungle-lush site
of multi-billion-dollar up-scale resorts owned by a consortium of global
investors.
In short, if one looks for a "bottom-line" incentive that would motivate
development
of a CWM system that can simultaneously cover larges fractions of
continental and ocean surface with chemtrailed cloud and can utilize
40-square-mile transmitters that suck up tons of North Shore gas volume to
bounce high energy off the ionosphere, be aware: more-than- ample economic
stimulus
exists to make it all worth while.
There you have it -- the bare-bones CWM thesis.

We will talk about four active projects ongoing in the
atmosphere across America now.
The first project is an effort to block the rays of the sun
from hitting the earth including the ultra violet radiation
that will come through without an adequate layer of ozone
in the upper regions above the earth. This, it is hoped, will
lower temperature on the surface of the earth and block
ultra violet radiation from causing skin cancer in humans.
The aerosol is probably aluminum oxide or a compound
that would have similar properties.
The second and most secretive project is the United
States Navy's, RFMP, Radio Frequency Mission Planner,
military program. The RFMP is the system name given to
a group of computer programs and one of the supporting,
subprograms within the RFMP system is called the
VTRPE computer program. VTRPE is an acronym that
stands for Variable Terrain Radio Parabolic Equation, It is
a computer Radio Frequency propagation program that
deals with radio waves and enables the RFMP system to
visually see the battlefield terrain in 3 dimensions (3-D) on
a television screen. The RFMP system also depends on
satellites to feed their images of the battlefield into the
RFMP system to be combined with the battlefield picture
painted from the ground thus producing 3-D images.
By providing an extremely interactive and visual
(television type radar screens) environment, the Radio
Frequency Mission Planner, RFMP system allows the
computer operator to develop familiarity with the "Radio
Frequency" environment before a battlefield war mission
occurs by playing a variety of "what-if" virtual warfare
scenarios on his computer screen. Since all major modes
of Radio Frequency propagation are modeled in his
computer, (RFMP system), special, sometimes counter-
intuitive, cases can be examined in detail and exploited
during a warfare battle mission.
The VTRPE computer program only worked accurately
over water and along coastal areas but not over land
masses because the system's radar waves required an
atmospheric condition known as "ducting", over land, to
operate accurately.
The government and military solved the "ducting" problem
by releasing an aerosol, a mixture of barium salts into the
atmosphere over America. They made an atmospheric RF
duct with a base of barium aerosol from aircraft. The
chemical and electrical characterics of the mixture will
cause water moisture to stay in clouds. Again, the aerosol
sets up an electrical and chemical environment that
supports RF ducting for the RFMP / VTRPE warfare
system. Fibers with barium may support ducting. The
mixture of barium salt aerosol when sprayed in a straight
line will also provide a ducting path from point A to point B
and will enable high frequency communications along that
path, even over the curvature of the earth, in both
directions. Enemy high frequency communications can be
monitored easier with the straight line A to B ducting
medium.
Barium salt chemtrails were used to support the Navy's
Radio Frequency Mission Planner over Iraq and Saudi
Arabia.
The third project also utilizes the mixture of barium salts in
the atmosphere. Weather control is a project of the U.S.
Air Force and utilizes Nikola Tesla concepts of radio
frequency radiation (HAARP) against the ionosphere
above the earth and control the jet stream. Fragile life
support systems in our environment are being
manipulated, tested and altered by government for military
advantage. Air Force documents implied, "the risks are
high but the rewards are worth it." The mixture of barium
salts, supporting moisture, is encouraged along the
weather fronts and manipulated in a control fashion. It is
believed microwave energy is also utilized in the weather
control program. Weather data is also a required input to
In the broadest sense, weather- control can be divided
into two major categories: suppression and intensification
of weather patterns. In extreme cases, it might involve the
creation of completely new weather patterns, attenuation
or control of severe storms, or even alteration of global
climate on a far-reaching and/or long-lasting scale. In the
mildest and least controversial cases it may consist of
inducing or suppressing precipitation, clouds, or fog for
short times over a region. Other low-intensity applications
might include the alteration and/or use of near space as a
medium to enhance communications, disrupt active or
passive sensing, or other purposes. The primary areas
include generation and dissipation of precipitation, clouds,
and fog; modification of localized storm systems; and the
use of the ionosphere and near space for space control
and communications domnance.
Perfected weather control technology will enable a military
to withhold rain, cause floods, cause drought, cause
storms, withhold sunshine, damage food crops, and bring
any country to its knees without firing a shot.
The fourth project in the atmosphere is the DARPA,
Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, biological
detection and decontamination programs. The program
also utilizes the mixture of barium salts as the base
vehicle in aerosol along with special polymer fibers in the
atmosphere. They have released biologicals into the
atmosphere in trials, testing the detection and
decontamination systems. BCTP oily - water liquid aerosol
is considered a biological decontaminate.
It is believed that barium salt, polymer fibers and other
chemicals, in the atmosphere are the physical irritants that
are either directly or indirectly responsible, for the recent
nationwide epidemic increase in cases of nose bleed,
asthma, allergies, pneumonia, upper respiratory
symptoms and a noticeable increase in arthritis symptoms,
recently reported nationwide. Chemicals illegally sprayed
into the atmosphere are producing atmospheric and
ground conditions detrimental to human and animal health
but favorable to the growth of harmful molds and fungus.
These conditions are not conducive to good health. The
soluble salts of barium, an earth metal, are toxic in
mammalian systems. They are absorbed rapidly from the
gastrointestinal tract and are deposited in the muscles,
lungs, and bone. No case data is available from the
medical community on the long term effects of barium in
the human body.
The programs are secret because the Federal EPA and
State Environmental Quality Agencies need to "not know"
about what the by-products of the metabolites of
biological, illegal and harmful agents are. It is for that
reason the project has been declared secret from the
citizens. It's all illegal under federal and state laws. _____

Space-Based Weather Control - The "Thunderstorm Solar Power Satellite"

In a recent correspondence with Dr. Bernard Eastlund (see below), it appears
that ground based weather control via electromagnetic means have been
surpassed by the newer technology of Solar Power Satellite based systems
which have been designed for a power output of 1000 Megawatts. I think we
can all see where this is going.
HAARP, as we have stated, does not appear to possess the ability to alter
the weather over disparate geographic locations, and has only a minute
ability to do anything locally - but the new satellite systems certainly
would solve that problem. With a fleet of these satellites, it could be
conceivable that the weather over any geographic location could be modified
at will - provided the system actually works. Borderlands published a book
related to this in 1995 called Secrets of Cold War Technology: Project HAARP
and Beyond.
Borderland Sciences has over the years done an extensive observation of the
effects of solar activity on the general population with respect to
temperment modification. It has been empirically confirmed that SIDs (Sudden
Ionospheric Disturbances), and Solar Flux Density increases have the
particular effect of mania on the general populace, while low periods tend t
o display a tendency toward depression.
We wonder what effects these new high power satellite systems could have on
prevailing psychological states. Although it does not appear intentional,
the ability to alter the moods of populations is one probable side effect of
such a modification system. While this is not "mind control" per se, it does
open up some interesting possibilities.

The plans for HAARP as I understand them are to go to 980 KW this year, and
ultimately about 3.6 MW. Significant direct interactions with tropospheric
weather patterns would require power levels of 100 MW or more. However, even
at 3.6 MW significant experiments could be performed.
It has also been suggested that upper atmosphere winds (above 50KM) play a
role in the motion of the lower altitude jet stream.(J. R. Herman and R. A.
Goldbert. sun, Weather and Climate, National Aeronautics and Space

modulation of the auroral electrojet and found correlation with modulation

The HAARP antenna as it is now configured modulates the auroral electrojet
to induce ELF waves and thus could have an effect on the Zonal winds.
I recently have revisited the potential for electromagnetic beam
modification of weather in a series of papers written with the support of
the European Space Agency. They asked me to investigate potential
applications in which a Solar Power Satellite was the source of energy.

mere test of the transmitter can cause irreversible harm to the environment.
According to patent applications, HAARP was created to manipulate the upper
atmosphere of earth, to control the weather, and to disrupt communications
over large areas. It could quite possibly be the prototype for a particle
beam weapon with military applications -- one patent remains classified.
HAARP is also expected to communicate with submarines submerged some 12,000
miles away.
"What is clear," noted one study," is that at one gigawatt and aboveÖÖa
variety of instability processes are triggered." By any stretch of the
imagination, "instability processes" can only mean that the outcome is
unpredictable. And that has got more than a few people worried.
A concerned reporter at OMNI magazine asked HAARP's inventor, MIT physicist
Dr. Bernard Eastlund about HAARP'S destructive capabilities. To many, it is
the instability of the project that poses the greatest threat. But
apparently Eastlund could only foresee the whiz-bang science. "You can
virtually lift part of the atmosphere," he told OMNI. "You can make it move,
do things to it."
It does things, all right. But not always the things that the project
engineers want it to do. Phase One of t the HAARP Project has already been
completed. One- to three-million volts of electrons were transmitted via an
inverted cone into the ionosphere just "to see what will happen," according
to one engineer. And we are now well into Phase Two.
None of us know what will happen in the future because of the HAARP Project,
and that's part of the problem. According to environmental investigative
reporter William Thomas, the previous electromagnetic experiments have
already disrupted the path of the jet stream, resulting in weird weather all
over the globe. Bewildered meteorologists who know nothing of HAARP and who
cannot understand the dramatic weather changes in terms of traditional
meteorology, innocently claim El Nino and La Nina as the cause. But are
they? These weather wizards who spout the El Nino/La Nina theory could
unknowingly be protecting dark projects such as HAARP from public scrutiny
by promoting this seemingly innocent cover story. Meanwhile, the damage goes
on.
Alaskan pilots fear the electronic navigation anomalies that will result
from the HAARP tests, causing pilots to become deaf and dumb, if not blind,
in the air. Or, they fear that their planes could suddenly plunge to the
ground because of electrical interference. HAARP's project engineers claim
to have handled that problem. However, after a number of crashes were linked
to electrical interference, the Joint Electromagnetic Interference (JEMI)
investigation revealed that "radio waves at certain frequencies can bring
down an aircraft by putting it into an uncommanded turn or dive, or by
turning off its fuel supply."
Others fear a disruption in communications as the power grid overloads,
blacking out major cities -- a logical conclusion that even the U.S. Air
Force acknowledges. In its official HAARP FACT SHEET the Air Force concludes
that "ionospheric disturbances at high latitudes ÖÖ act to induce large
currents in electric power grids."
Alaskan residents are concerned about the carcinogenic emissions from the
power lines and generators as even more powerful transmitters and antennae
are added for future experiments.
But people everywhere should fear the group of scientists, military experts,
and corporations like Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO), who fund the
project, who hold the profit potentials, and who have authority to decide
how HAARP will be used. Public safety and environmental concerns seem to be
last on their list of agendas. They are experimenting with a device that has
the potential for global destruction, a device that can focus billions of
watts of power into the ionosphere. Apparently, HAARP officials are willing
to take the risks without knowing the full consequences on the world or its
inhabitants. It's insanity.
Harvard-trained physicist Dr. Richard Williams, now working at Princeton,
calls HAARP tests, "irresponsible acts of global vandalism." At a conference
addressing fellow physicists, Williams warned that HAARP "might become a
serious threat to the earth's atmosphere. With experiments on this scale,"
Williams said, "irreparable damage could be done in a short time."
Alaskan physician, Dr. Nick Begich, concurs. His book, ANGELS DON'T PLAY
THIS HAARP, co-written by investigative reporter Jeane Manning, contends
that ever- increasing electromagnetic pulses could punch a hole in the
planet's magnetic field, leaving us completely vulnerable to intense solar
radiation.
The present hole in the Ozone is miniscule compared to the devastating
potential of a massive rupture, the authors suggest. Yet there are even now
ever-increasing reports of skin cancer and other carcinomas linked to
current ozone depletion. What horror does the future hold? "Without the
ionosphere's electrical shielding," Manning said, "our own sun would fry us
with gamma radiation, X-rays and short wavelengths of UV light. We think
that the holes in the ozone layer letting in some UV rays is bad. Wait'll
we've got cosmic rays coming through at killing wavelengths." If HAARP
further disrupts the ozone, the consequences could be dire, and deadly, the
authors conclude.
HAARP has the potential to destroy virtually all life forms on earth -- not
just the "intelligent" kind. And we have to make that qualified distinction
because the principals involved in the HAARP project seem astonishingly
unconcerned about the negative ramifications of their invention. Rather,
they seem as giddy as children at Christmas time with their new toys. A
"Plans and Activities" report jointly issued by the U.S. Air Force
Geophysics Lab and Naval Research enthusiastically announced the "exciting
and challenging aspect of ionospheric enhancement" of the HAARP Project.
It is the cacophony of madness.
But until the nightmarish dissonance of HAARP is heard by more people,
nothing will change. And we will all have to ponder the consequence of our
inactionÖÖ

Grave ELF Dangers To Air Travel
It is perfectly clear that secret ELF weapons and the HAARP Project in
Alaska can pose a grave danger to commercial jetliners flying anywhere in
the world. In fact, these ELF/electromagnetic weapons systems and/or HAARP
may have already been involved in air crashes which have cost the lives of
hundreds of innocent people, including the 70 on board Capt. Schreiber's
Aeroperu 757.
In the case of HAARP, the powerful transmitters are supposed to
automatically turn off when nearby aircraft approach. In reality, the ELF
waves generated by HAARP bounce off the upper atmosphere's 'mirror'
reflector and come down to Earth and hit sites which are thousands of miles
away from the HAARP transmitters. Think about it.
There have been warnings about ELF dangers as far back as the 12/81
newsletter of the Planetary Association For Clean Energy (PACE), which
described exactly how ELF waves can interfere with airplanes:
In depth testing of representative 'safety-of-flight-critical' avionics by
the Boeing Company has revealed that navigational and communications
equiprment will malfunction when they come under the influence of artificial
ELF magnetic and voltage fields. ...Cathode ray tubes and magnetic flux
valves employed in the gyrosyn systems are particularly susceptible. Other
critical avionics are influenced at specific ELF frequencies and
intensities. Even ground-based air traffic control systems (which use radar)
can become unusable from ambient ELF fields. In automatic pilot
(computer-operated ) flight systems, the amplifier becomes vulnerable. This
vulnerability is extremely hazardous where the earth-ionosphere resonant ELF
standing waves undergo frequency and intensity modulation (exactly as
HAARP's ionospheric mirrors transmits ELF waves back to the Earth's surface)
while the aircraft passes transversely through their fields. Because, in
that circumstance, the autopilot mode does not ignore 'confusing information
from the flux mode' and LOCKS ONTO IT.
Deviation (of flight) can be typically (off by as much as) 40 degrees. This
vulnerability is also a major concern where aircraft approach airfields
located near ELF transmission antennas and in the vicinity of remotely
propagated ELF standing waves.
The following aircraft equipment is affected by magnetic ELF: Airborne Loran
System, airborne weather radar system (radar and controls); marker receiver,
amplifier and computer of the automatic pilot system; flux valve.
The following aircraft equipment is affected by voltage ELF: Oil quantity
indicator, brake temperature indicator, EHF transceiver, ADF receiver,
marker receiver, distance measuring equipment; airborne Loran system;
airborne weather system radar; and inertial navigation system.
COMPUTER may demonstrate perceptible null deviations that are both frequency
and intensity ELF dependent.
HAARP and other ELF weapons systems clearly pose a grave and potentially
catastrophic danger to commercial aviation or any aircraft flying through
the distant returning-to-Earth fields of ELF that these systems generate.
FACT: Since the PACE article was written, modern jetliners have all become
fully-computerized and can literally take-off, fly to a precise destination,
and practically land themselves automatically. The current generation of
Boeing airliners are all fully computer-interfaced. 747's have TRIPLE
computer redundancy with each back-up having its own battery power source.
FACT: These computers systems are so electromagnetically sensitive and
delicate that airlines have banned passengers from using carry-on
electronics such as lap top computers and portable cassette players
especially during landing and takeoff.

"HAARP's Demonic Powers" Excerpt from 'Youth Action News' July 1996 Issue
The HAARP antenna array, named the Ionospheric Research Instrument (IRI),
will grow to 360 antennas. The 9/95 'Popular Science' reported that HAARP's
"proprietary phased-array transmitting, steering, and pulsing techniques
built into the IRI, will permit rapid aiming of the radio-frequency beam in
any direction and at angles as low as 30 degrees above the horizon."
Additionally, HAARP will have "1.7 gigawatts (1.7 BILLION WATTS) of
effective radiated power in the 2.8 to 10 MHz frequency range and "might
cause lasting damage to the Earth's upper atmosphere. By comparison, the
energy level is more than 3,000 times greater than the biggest commercial AM
radio transmitters." In the 440-page HAARP environmental impact study, the
U.S. Government admits the extreme grave threat that HAARP can pose.
'Popular Science' reported that HAARP's
"...IRI transmissions can raise the internal body temperature of nearby
people, ignite road flares in the trunks of cars, detonate aerial munitions
that use electronic fuses, and scramble aircraft communications, navigation,
and flight control systems."
HAARP's space-generated ELF waves, coming back down to the earth, can be
utilized in many different ways, such as communicating with submarines or
creating harmful biological and mental effects upon a specifically targeted
population. HAARP can also be utilized in a system of earth-penetrating
tomography, for locating hidden underground bunkers in enemy territory or
the buried arms, survival supplies, and valuable coins buried by U.S.
patriots and militias. The 1/96 'Progressive Magazine' reported that a 1995
article, "Non-Lethal Technology and Airpower", in the 'Air Command and Staff
College's Airpower Journal', describes how so-called non-lethal psychotronic
and electromagnetic weapons will be used against civilians: "In the very
near future, it will become clear that non-lethal methods have applicability
across the entire spectrum of conflict, including crime and terrorism..."
"In this research paper, the authors reveal for the first time, the U.S.
military is developing high-powered microwave weapons for use against human
beings" (which is one of the hidden goals of the HAARP transmitters). Such
"microwave weapons are almost uniquely intrusive" (especially when they are
pulsed at ELF frequencies). "They do not simply attack a person's body, they
reach all the way into a person's mind...They are meant to disorient or
upset mental stability." The Soviets aimed one of these weapons at the
American Embassy in Moscow for years and caused enormous physical and
emotional damage amongst the Americans working there. It is thus shocking to
see the U.S. military now preparing, with the help of the Justice
Department, to use such electromagnetic totalitarian zapping devices against
American civilians. Years before he became House Speaker, Newt Gingrich
wrote the foreword to an official U.S. Air Force book that described how
electromagnetic weapons can be used to subjugate U.S. citizens who oppose
the policies of the Federal government. The publication, titled 'Low
Intensity Conflict and Modern Technology' (Lt. Col. David J. Dean, USAF,
Editor), contained a chapter written by Capt. Paul Tyler that deals with
electromagnetic, (so-called) non-lethal and psychotronic weapons. Because of
the strong support for using the U.S. military against civilians (as clearly
demonstrated by recent anti-terrorist legislation), this Air Force
publication (and its relationship to HAARP) is very significant. Capt. Tyler
stated: "The potential applications of artificial electromagnetic fields are
wide-ranging and can be used in many military or quasi-military situations.
...Some of these potential uses include dealing with terrorist groups" (as
currently defined by the Clinton administration), "crowd control,
and...antipersonnel techniques in tactical warfare. In all cases, the
electromagnetic systems would be used to produce mild to severe
physiological disruption or perceptual distortion or disorientation"
(psychotronic weapons application). "In addition, the ability of individuals
to function could be degraded to such a point that they would be combat
ineffective. Another advantage of electromagnetic systems is that they
provide coverage over large areas with a single system"(disguised reference
to projects like HAARP). "...One last area where electromagnetic radiation
may prove of some value is enhancing abilities of individuals for anomalous
phenomena", which appears to be a veiled reference to the Federal
government's use of electromagnetic and psychotronic devices to create
artificial UFO abductions amongst unwitting civilians. Such
government-staged UFO encounters (not to be confused with the many real UFO
events, such as the Roswell crash) are now being used a cover for widespread
physical and psychological experimentation upon U.S. civilians.
HAARP Now Running At Full
Power - Tied To Anti-Missile Tests?
I'd like to request reports from radio amateurs and short wave listeners on
this current HAARP increased-power signal. Please specify your lat/long (or
city), times (Z times preferred), relative signal strengths, and any related
observations or phenomena. Marshall Smith tells me he is also planning to
post further information to www.brojon.com on his .9 Hz measurements. We
need further reports from other researchers to corroborate and update these
important observations.

HAARP Transmitter Now Running At Full Power Can be Easily Heard Around the
World on Shortwave Radio

As of this morning, Saturday Feb 17, 2001, HAARP began doing testing with
greatly increased FULL power. The transmitter can now be heard all day long
on 3.39 MHz. Very early this morning about 3 AM, HAARP could be heard at
it's "old" normal signal strength. About 4 AM the signal changed in both its
pulse timing and inter-pulse spacing. At 4:30 AM the signal strength
suddenly increased tremendously.
Unlinke previous mornings, there was no regular F-layer daytime fade out
when the sun rose here in California about 6:45 AM. I continued to monitor
during the daylight. I have never heard the HAARP signal during the daytime
before. The sun rises in Gakona Alaska about 10 AM PST. The received signal
again increased from about S5 to S9 at 10:05 AM. With sunlight at both the
transmitter and receiver there is no F-layer skip to bend the signal around
the planet. This means this is an extremely powerful direct groundwave
signal. And I'm only receiving the leakage off the sidelobes of the antenna
array.
The full HAARP design power is supposed to be about 350 Megawatts. But that
is only the published spec, not necessarily what is done in practice (as in
those CB'rs running illegal 1Kwatt linear amplifiers). There is a planned
Air Force "Star Wars" test with two vehicles, one from California and the
other in the south Pacific, similar to last summer's failed test. The
tentative published launch is set for late March or April. I will monitor
HAARP to confirm it is running full power during the launch, as it was last
summer.
Last summer's "failure" is exactly what a HAARP device is supposed to do;
destroy the electronic controls of a vehicle so the second stage cannot
separate from the booster. A very cheap, simple way to knock down missiles
launched from anywhere on the planet. It also can destroy military
satellites in low orbit. Maybe that's why the Russians and Chinese have been
complaining in the last several weeks about Bush's intention to "build" the
star wars system. Maybe they've been losing some of their "secret hardware."
But of course, they won't say that in public.
Its now 11 AM PST, on Saturday the 17th, and the signal is blasting in with
the powerful pre-pulse tone around S+20 and the main signal about S9. The
signal varies 3 to 6 db over a series of several pulses. Since this is not
due to F-layer skip fading, I must assume they are slewing the beam of the
antenna in various directions, and thus changing the amount of the sidelobes
in this direction. This must be a test of a simulated space warfare game
with multiple targets. Rapid slewing of the antenna in just a matter of a
minute or two is not useful for submarine communication, nor for their
stated purpose of doing "ionospheric research."
To show the HAARP signal is abnormally large, at this time, the 80 meter
band is silent and WWV at 5 MHz cannot be heard, as would be expected during
the daytime. WWV at 10 MHz is barely heard but does not even register on the
S meter. Tuning back to 3.39 MHz, the S meter jumps off the top of the
scale. Even Russian woodpeckers never did that, and they were aimed along
the ground not out into space. I have no way to estimate how many Gigawatts
that represents.
It may be only coincidence but just several days ago, Russia announced it
will be conducting a massive space war game, including the launch of
numerous missiles, from both ground sites and submarines. Of course this is
