CTC Council - ** Place Your Votes **

Given that I don't have the full measure of time to properly moderate the board, and that there are many who have suggested that things are not the best they could be, to which I agree, I'm suggesting, again, the possibility of bringing more of our members into an active role in crafting the workings and tone of the board. This idea had been presented before with mixed response, but why not try again...
The following is just a rough idea.
It hasn't been "enacted" yet.
Please post your feedback.
Please post your suggestions.
Please post your support if you think that this would be a something you wanted.
Please don't actually begin the voting process at this moment, but feel free to indicate that you would be willing to participate by being a council member or at least voting for a council member.
quote:
Idea: Elect a council of several CTC members to vote on warnings for and removal of those members that are degrading the forum's community, on forum rules, or on important issues.
Goal: empower the community to deal with administrative decisions for the board, increase faith in administration of board, and reduce individual personality conflict.
Council should have an odd number of members, perhaps 7 or 9. This will ensure a diverse cross-section of membership and the odd number will ensure no 50/50 split on votes.
Council will have a private board to discuss matters and take votes.
Any council member can bring a vote concerning a member, situation or policy.
All votes are majority wins.
The first vote against a member will be a warning vote, which will result in a written warning being posted publicly. The warning must be crafted by council members before the vote.
If the warning is not succesful in resolving the problem, a second vote may be taken, which will result in a written expulsion notice being posted publicly and the actual member being removed. Notices must contain the specific reasons for the warning/expulsion including relavent quotes from the member's posts, and from the forum rules. The banning will be done before the expulsion notice is posted. Those holding admin powers for the board will take administrative as needed based on council votes.
Warnings, expulsions, and policy notices will be posted by the council member responsible for initiating the vote, but using a special "CTC Council" log-in ID (to avoid specific personality conflicts). Such notices must always be the result of a majority vote by the council.
The finer details of exactly how everything works will need to be created and adjusted as needed.
Given that I would like around 7 or 9 council members, we will need more than lackluster support to make this idea work. So, we'll see if we get a better response than last time after a week or two.
P.S. If you've ever complained or been dissatisfied about anything on the forums, this is your big chance to make a difference...
Thanks. |

Excellent idea Thermit.
If you really want to save the hard work created on this site and get the process working for the benefit of genuine activists and geniune related information debunks (not personal abuse and frame up lies)
Then count me in. If I am acceptable to the council?

I was thinking that we would "elect" the council members by a vote from the membership. Glad that you are interested, and that (plus ideas) is mainly what I'm looking for at this point... |

Why wait? I guess let's just let the nominations and voting roll and see what happens...
VOTING RULES
------------
- Each Senior Member may place up to NINE (9) votes for different Senior Members.
- You may vote for yourself once, and if you have suggested being interested in being on the council I'll take that as one vote (for yourself).
- If someone gets votes, but declines to accept their civic responsibility of taking office, the people who voted for them get to change their vote to someone else so the vote isn't wasted.
- You can change your votes after they have been placed, but we'll eventually need to take a final tally, so try to make up your mind soon as possible!
- Initial council office will be open to those that are concerned about Chemtrails.
Like I said before I think that some odd number of council members around 9 is preferable. So, we'll just keep voting until we get there and everybody has had their say.
suckingeggs, emfx13, don't forget to cast your other two votes if you like.

1. Deborah
2. Sorethroat
3. mark sky
I'm running on the assumption that Thermit and the current mods are going to hold council seats. Three votes is a bit skimpy (though I understand the logistics behind this), so I am basing my votes, in large part, on length of prior community service.
I hope the people that wind up getting nominated seriously consider the difference their participation could make in the long run... |

I see these names
Deborah (reb0rah as i know her)smile
sorethroat (fellow bike rida)
mark sky (just a nut hatching)
and i see you and raise the bet to include
the oldies
WiseQuakker
Chem 11
Kim Weber
and the "newbies" or rather new ID's
suckingeggs
emfx 13
Con Spiracy_Man
some of us have "reserected" so many times that i don't know your names any more
the ever changeing ~J~ "alien" would be a selection as well
others "who" have been with us
such as the "jay Reayniods" and ass o ciated
horse kicking kerosine smellorz
but back to reality, i agree with Chem 11
those that show a long lasting ability
and also in that odd group is David of Clear Lake California
one who i have cam[ped with while jets flew over
and Poco Loco, just up the coast from here
who has been hard at work
hammering against the stone wall of resistance to seeing
but nominations aside
i think the good ship CTC with Thermits captainship
and the moderators helmsmanship (womanship)
has steared this site well
this boat rocks 99% of the time
I think that the division of the site to allow those that don't see "chemtrails" from the inter fear ance of those that do
has been wonderful
and i only see minor interfearance
and only "once in a while"
interfearing with the free flow of information
the boat has a few leaks
but it sai;ls true most of the time
so i do not see major repairs as nessasary
its a good ship
well designed to sail the roufe seas
a council is not a bad idea
as we have at certain times been
in rough waters
i would do what i could in that situation
but i am not a computer whiz
i thank you for your support
i conntinue to hope highly
that we can disenmire ourselvers
from what most do not have the energy to
even see
Thermit, I would go for 9 councilors
I like the odd number reasoning
and the more the "merrior"
I like your thinking on this matter
but although i complaine about the ride
this is a sound ship
sailing in a sea of insanity
so I would keep the basic timbers in place
yeah it creeks and moans a bit
it floats and it sails

i also have mech mollinani and ellyn
hightech and several i cant read
that i wrote down on this paper
we have a great number of human beings
readi to serve the cause
i have a great inability to remember all those who have come forward to speek
better brush my teeth
but you know what you did
and i read it here
without this great community that gathers
in amoung this place
we would not find answers to the quest ions we have
and that would be a shame |

Oh Tay ~ I will make a commitment
here is my "vote"
(vote for three, and then bend the rules as much as you can...
(1) Deborah, Chem 11, Kim Weber
(2)sorethroat,Wisequakker, mark sky
(3)PocoLoco, David, Mech, Emfx 13, suckingeggs,Conspracy-Man
here are my reasons
those in groups 1 and two were at it from the very start (not sure about Chem 11) but have put a lot of energy into it for a long while. All these people have been very active on the web. I would like to see WiseQuakker, sorethroat, or Chem 11 in a position to techniquely help those that are haveing trouble posting or uplinking images or whatever, so I think we need to have a willing techie helper on board, and all of these are good at it.
Both Deborah and Kim Weber (ohwarriorgoddess)
have been digging up dirt and sending it out from the very start. their political slants balence out eachother, so if they agree on something, it must be OK
mark sky is like the "wild card line"
you never know what you will get, but sometimes it is just the piece you were looking for, otter tymes it is just "obsqure"
Poco Loco, i Know has been pounding on the doors of government, labs, and exposing the fibril and health side of the equasion, he is a very good man that I know and trust. He is deeply concerned and wants to do the right thing. He observes and helps others to observe, those unique occurences around and above us.
David is just a plain down to earth man, that I also know and trust, with an honest view at what is happening, he has a good grasp on what we are leaving behind as we forget, and launch forward in the nwo atmosp fear
He is well grounded in his sight and thoughts. He has a legitimate anger that i find healthy in this day and age. His Knowledge of past events often leads me to the current. And he does not mind getting in the face of things he sees as injust.
Mech, Emfx 13, suckingeggs,Conspracy-Man have all posted some pretty astonunding material in the last year. Some of it blew my socks off. But along with Chem 11, I listen to the tune of longevity. Their "names are newer", they could be older, but we do not know that.
So that is what I am thinking about a "Council"
There are a lot of good folks out there,
and I know I did not name everyones name,
it is by no means to downplay your role in this play
each and everyone who comes here to post
or even to read
has a part in this
i am just putting my faith in those
that i have seen over time to risk
to inform

>>Place your votes<< caught my eye opinions count
I'm not sure if mods get to vote or not Thermit, and 3 is really narrow~ing it down, when 33 minimum 9 would be more suffice
A very positive thread going on here, and I would hope that more speak up and encourage this novel idea Captain Therm has come up with ... ... ... yet again ... for the cause
The Council of 9 (being my favorite number and the number of the creational universe)would be an ideal one if it included the likes of
Mark Sky ~ his endearing use of the English language read on too many levels is reason enough to give him a seat methinks in hiGh reGarDz since taking refuge on this craZy ship of fools
Deborah ~ first meet her and sedona way back in the bunker basement daZe enjoyed/enjoy her way of thinking and the fiesty way she takes on Jay Reynolds, the shallot-farmer-by-day guy, frog-enthusiast-extra~odin~air-by-night dude, and compliments Mark Sky rather well indeedy
Chem11 ~ keeping cool deserves a seat as number 3 but not not necessarily in that order for the first shall be last and the last shall be first
Sore Throat ~ another old timer worthy of mention for tireless beating down the doors of reason
Wise Quakker ~ honorable mentions would hold a seat well pressing on against the odds
emfx ~ hey have you seen this guy's pic ?
the man asks for a seat...ya give him one
ICU812 ~ brains, sensibility, guts and good looks can't go wrong with a combination like that folks
Poco Loco ~ I like the sound of the guy's name and he takes interesting fibril photos are just a few of the reasons he'd warm seat number 8
eyesopen ~ cause his eyes are open
