Amazing "Flu" Season

Check out the statistics from the Center for Disease Control for mortality due to pneumonia and influenza:

You will note seasonal peaks during all previous winters.
Last year there were 33 out of 35 weeks of mortality above epidemic levels. What did the CDC do? They raised the requirement for "epidemic" levels, and doctored data to boot.
And now guess what? We're all healthier.
Really quite amazing.
And this year, the "flu" vaccination was greatly delayed....and the weather much more severe over large sections of the country (i.e., more time indoors with poor air circulation which promotes the spread of the flu)...
Nevertheless, mortality is far, far down from previous historical trends.
Really, really quite amazing.
Does this mean what they are doing is "working"?

Maybe it means they are calling the flu something else. People are sick with aching joints, backs, hips, feel like their heads are going to explode, hot and cold, but no fever. Some of my family have it and the kids at schools are home with it too. The lines at the pharmacies are long and it takes forever to get a call into the doctor. |

Yep, according to the CDC, we're just getting better and better.
Maybe all the weak ones already died off.
You gotta love their data though. Pay particular attention to the downturn for the most recent week:
