anyone would read posts by "the Professor" to find consistent views in almost total disagreement with several others here.
Yet the Professor keeps out of the gutter and makes rational reasoned arguments.
IMHO Professor's opinions are just as wrong as PV & Seeker, but the reasoned comments begat reasoned replies in kind.
If anyone wants to see how to limit freedom of speech in a forum:
PM me and I'll forward a link.
CC has more freedom of speech and tolerance for differing opinions than any other USA based website/IMHO

I had assumed that the 'council of 9' administrative arrangement here was something that had always been part of the set up. It is only in recent days i have picked up on the apparent fact that the structure has it's roots in discussions as recently as the summer.
Somewhere along the line i had assumed that suckingeggs had at one time been a member of that council, like way back, but now i understand he is currently a member of the council.
Learning this puts the topic i started this thread with in rather a different light. I have been pondering these days what, if anything, to do about it.
I have come here with a certain reluctance and at the suggestion/request/invitation of Halva. Part of that reluctance has been on account of the 'baggage' i brought with me. None of that 'baggage' is of my making--in it's totality it is the lies, delusions and slander of others. I have been quite frank about it with my first posts on the 'freeform' forum. That seemed to me to be the honourable thing to do with it, i invited comment from others at that time, including suckingeggs who is one of those slanderers.
On a forum like this which by definition will find itself concerned with conspiracy theories, to arrive encumbered with accusations of being an agent and now to find them being repeated is on a par with being accused of adultery, wife-beating or paedophilia in the context of a christian fundamentalist congregation--it is serious and the mud sticks. The singular difference appears to be that those making easy accusations about agentship on forums like this apparently feel no compunction to offer evidence.
Whilst i thought suckingeggs was simply a rank and file member here i was happy to let it pass, learning that he is a member of the council puts a different complexion on things.
I am not much concerned with the general offense and simple ignorance and bad manners and i am not at all interested in pursuing anyones exclusion or banning.
What i strongly object to is being accused of being an agent by a member of the executive at this forum, simply because it is not remotely true in any way shape or form.
So, suckingegggs, the nugget is this--either retract those remarks completely or present evidence to substantiate them.
If you do not do this i shall reach inevitable conclusions as regards your character, and by implication the character of the council you are a member of.
If anybody wonders why i don't pursue this with the man in private, i will tell you i would prefer to, but he does not reply to email or indicate in any fashion an interest in actual facts, truth or reality on the matter.

Reading back what i have so far written i become aware how likely it is that some will see here simply the ongoing work of the tireless agent--sowing further discord, seeking to create discord within the council. This, of course is just how the 'stuck mud' works, the subtle alchemy of it, why it is serious, why such unfounded accusations stink so badly. Once labelled as you seek to label me, any denial or demand for evidence from me, within the crucible of your warped but accusing mindset is turned into confirmation of the aptness of the label you apply.
So the real and deep question for you and your colleagues is this--is there enough still within you that is actually comfortable with or capable of recognising truth in a matter like this, or are you by now just completely lost to and in love with a lie. Can you even recognise that it actually *is* that serious.
I wait to see.
Just to be very clear about it. I am absolutely not motivated to be a disruptive presence on this forum. I have not been a disruptive or unruly poster on any forum, fwiw. Were that not the case i would not be so puzzled by this ongoing nonsense as i am.

Don't be alarmed by egg's accusations of you being an agent. He's done this before and quite frankly does a good share of stinking up the joint with alot of his nonsense. There are others some on the council and regulars here you can engage in without a bunch of crap so don't let one guy spoil anything, look back at all the times I was attacked by some of the silly thinkers here, I laugh at them in pity for the most part but hey thats life. |

The debunkers new tactic is to use the "Freedom of Speech" line as a smokescreen for the fact that their only purpose is to disrupt a forum, not to voice their opinion.

I guess the criterion for disrupting a forum would have to be defined...for the mass

in reading another thread looks like you banned an individual at an obscure board, and refused to admit it?
patterns that follow the same lines yet said to be done by another are generally manufactured lies...and behaviour of a coward...what say you ?
