Just think how many homeless people could be fed and housed with what we spend to blow up comets. Something is dreadfully wrong here. www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/aponline230855_000.htm
Don't know why this won't go...sorry.You can delete Thermit if ya want.

Yeah fine job this guy did in solving that problem (I thought schools were supposed to be fixed as well, since we increased so much spending on the teachers unions during the years of the theif??!
Have you bought your stamps today?

Hmm, links still broken but the story deserves comment.
Comet?
What Comet? Did I miss something?
This is about deploying space-based military offensive systems, nothing more.
And it sure as hell doesn't have anything to do with Bill Clinton.
Or liberals.
Or jail.
Or postage stamps.

You're right Chem11, this has nothing to do with comets. I was just trying to counter some of the liberally biased statements here, with my own bias. It was in response to RTWs homeless remarks.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but RTW's views are that we should take the money we are spending on missile defense and spend it on the homeless. Can you see now where my comments are relevant? We had eight years of the most corrupt liberal piece of filth in the White House and nothing got done with either missile defense OR "the homeless". In fact, “the homeless problem” is nothing more than a liberal propaganda tool that we only hear about around election time. The rest of the time the problem goes largely ignored by Democrat liberals in power.
Now RTW wants to take money that GW has managed to allocate to a missile defense WHILE at the same time giving us one of the largest tax cuts in history.....and she wants to send this money to the homeless. Well where was all the whining about the homeless during the Clinton administration?....Who by the way, managed to not only fail to give back taxpayer money, but waste countless billions on his own personal extravaganzas, bad decisions and selfish quest for power. Where was Clinton’s SDI plan over the last eight years? Where was Clinton's tax cut? Where was his homeless plan...and how effective was it?
See why my comments are relevant now Chem11?
I'd personally rather save the lives of a billion people from an incoming ICBM rather the lives of a couple of drugged out bums who do nothing but drag society into the gutter. (And I say that as a person who was homeless for a period of time due to bad personal financial decisions. ) Hard choice, I know, but life is full of hard choices. We are not even having to make that choice though. The homeless problem is now being dealt with as effectively as it always has been by local governments across the country. This is the job of local government not federal.
The job of the federal government is to provide and maintain a national defense as expressly stated in the Constitution. |

Personally I would like to see the millionth monkey jump onboard and switch the worlds thinking from FEAR to PEACE...There is no need for all of this...Once again, the world is equal and we all need each other and the sooner we learn to THINK this way the sooner we can climb out of this freaking hole we're in. BTW...The link I cannot get to work explains our spending of two hundred and fourty million dollars to blow a comet up to test whats in it. INSANITY!!!!
