The Earth, What is this place...

What is this place??...This place we call earth, this place we call home? Where is the laughter, the smiles, the random acts of kindness...Is it all "over-shadowed" by the thirst for power and riches and blood? Every day "they" come up with a new and better "mouse trap"...one more deadly and horrible than the one before it...Was Einstein right? Has mans technology far exceeded his "humanity"? Were the prophets of the past right...are we all hurling toward an inevitable abyss...a "blackness" to engulf us, to take us to a dismal fate...a place darker than the "blackest hole"...We are all a product of the stars, does that mean we will return to the stars, after we destroy ourselves...floating through a seemingly endless void...after we enter the "Event Horizon", will there be hope and light and will we come out the other side???...re-born, through a "white hole" and another dimension? We are star power and we will be beings of light...there will be light and love and a new beginning for many...if not here on this once beautiful planet that we are destroying, then elsewhere, in another time and another place...we never die, we change from one form to another...basic physics! We don't want or need a NWO and a 1,000 points of light,...for each one of us has the light within ourselves...we all have the life-force and the light spark within us and we will travel through the universe spreading that light...and we will light the way for others that are lost, and souless, and have darkness in their heart...because, we are really all one...and if we haven't learned it here yet, on this wonderful world of ours, than we will learn it somewhere in space and time, (concepts that they are), we can call it something else...we will learn it somewhere else and we will all see each other again and this time, we will get it right! Mother cries
words fail her weeping eyes
lies obscured in obfuscated skies
sobs heave
humans have taken a leave
of humanity
traded in for a shiny new car
or a new pair of shoes
to go with the other hundred pairs
don't I look good?
is my beauty all that it could be?
or should I try
the new face-removal cream?
then perhaps I'd be worthy
of that elusive thing called love
the big-wig advertisers smirk
and take notes
non-existent pads they write upon
they know what we need
to be real
cool
like the compact tampon
just what ever young girl should have
you can hide it in your hand
as such unmentionable things must
be hidden
no matter the nasty fibers cause
more blood to flow
cause cancer
and toxic shock syndrome
minor annoyances to be ignored
after all you can swim now
and so much more
like be discreet
and leave your purse behind
without fail every time
Mother howls
She wails
She's come undone
there's a brand new world
next door
waiting to be destroyed
but we can't jump ship that easily
like a thief in the night
we're blocked from leaving
until we get it right
here
