Wow Defender, That was great!! Thanx for sharing that one...I hope more folks will tell of any amazing events they've had also...at this thread...after all...Halloween is getting near and it would be great fun to read some of the spooky stuff around then or share with house guests and such! Jo, this is relevant to the Sinus post, but i thought i would reply here.
i have already told you about my UFO dreams that are very similar to yours...And I found out two days ago that my younger brother also has had that same repetitive dream over the years!! He related it to me after having had the dream again... in which he ran into our childhood home to escape the 'invasion'..only to find himself staring into the eyes of a grey! He said he woke up bolt upright in bed and had never experienced such fear or helplessness in a dream before!
I think i told you about another repetitive dream of mine - where i was in the kitchen with an aquarium tank of aligators and snakes...there is a man...very dark...with a black cloak and hat and he started to pull snakes/worms from my mouth...I always woke up gagging. 
From the age of nine I used to see hundreds of faces on my walls at night...not life size...but about 6cms...it was like a Munsch painting - the scream?- these faces would move and get closer and closer and closer and then would move back and back and back...this would be repeated again and again. At the same time i would hear a multitude of whispering voices...non-distinct...again getting closer and louder and then fading away. I would be so scared that i would need the toilet...i would get up 7 or eight times within an hour...This went on for weeks...My mother would hear me get up and would say - if you get out of bed one more time I will smack you...so i would have to creep across the landing like the SAS to go to the bathroom! - So in the end I found the only way to sleep and make the faces and voices go away would be to get up making sure she heard me...she would then come up, smack me hard...and I would cry myself to sleep 
As a teenager I would often wake up in the middle of the night with something or someone bent over my head...It happened so often that in the end I would just swear at whatever it was and fall asleep!? ....I think that's enough for now  |

Sorry to hear about your relationship with your "mother", or as much as you mentioned, Amber. I had a similar situation with my big brother, trying to be quiet as a kid, to stay out of his way. He used to throw books at me from his bed if I made too much noise. I often ended up sleeping under my bed! It's taken years to get over my feelings about that. Child abuse is the worst kind of crime, some much more horrendous than others, but even minor incidents are painful and more often underreported, I think.
It couldn't have helped as far as your nightmares go either? I can't give any better advice than Delphi.

Amber, I wasn't sure whether to address the abuse part but since it has been mentioned, I will say I know what that is like. All through my childhood, many times at night, I'd be awakened by my parents out of a very sound sleep and beaten for no reason other then drunkeness on ones part, insanity on the others part. I used to get such tremendous, chest pains and irregular heart beats on these...being "shocked awake" episodes, I used to often think I was going to die...I guess when people die of fright, that is what it must be like. I hope you are happy, safe, and well now and that things are o.k. for you. I'm doin well enuf also.+++I just noticed where you said about that painting...am not sure of the artist...is that the one that made paintings where all the characters in them always resemble alien-like faces and heads?? If so, then those dreams may also pertain to the first analysis I made in my above response...could have been related to that type of scenario causing that peculiar set of circumstances. I have learned to "forgive" as well...the hard part is forgetting. During the day, I am adept at the forgetting, but at night, dreams have a way of "emptying out" your subconscious. Jo and Defender...thanks for your concern
My Mom and Dad were born and bred in Ireland, during hard times. Discipline was universally hard....at school both of them were regularly beaten with sticks, rulers, shoes..etc by nuns and the 'Christian Brothers' (???!!!!) Ever see the film Angela's Ashes?...They learned their parenting skills based on these 'fine' examples of good christian people...I was their first 'guinea' pig...my younger brother was lucky enough to have the 'perhaps we don't have to beat them so much when they are naugty' parents...and my youngest brother got the ' do what you like' parents
They did the only thing they knew how...so i had no grudges...well only a few little ones I broke the cycle though...I never have felt it necessary to hit my son...knowing the pain and humiliation and the stored up resentment it causes...I would never do it to someone I love so much.
But don't forget...to me it was normal...and it was only smacking...till I got older at least. They were still loving parents.
And as it was normal...I don't feel the things i described above were due to that. I was very psychic as a child ( a defense mechanism? Because if you are fearful of being smacked you try to anticipate events...their emotions..moods..reactions...so that you can avoid the hit?) I had precognitions...I knew when family members were ill or dead...I knew what people were feeling and thinking...I heard voices...felt spirits...on one occasion I was on the stairs with my brother and I told him I could smell my grandmother in Ireland Thirty minutes later we got a phonecall saying she had been rushed to hospital!
I think, Jo, that I was too open...and when you are a child you don't know about psychic protection...I think I was open to everything and that was responsible for much of what happened to me. Like I said some nights i was grateful for that smack!

Another "unusual" event recently...I was home alone in the daytime recently and had just finished making the beds and doing some other chores as well. Hubby was gone to the V. A. Hospital and no one could have been around and about our property, as I have the 2 best watch dogs ever, the property is fenced in and the yard is huge and well set back away from the road...anyway, I went back into the bedroom to get something, and there was a silk, pink rose placed exactly dead center on my pillow!! I have asthma, so can't have "real" flowers in the house, but do have some pretty silk flowers...it looked like one of the ones I have but how it got way across the room and on my pillow, I don't know...Hubby couldn't haved sneaked back and put it there..the dogs even "bitch" when he returns or if "anyone" gets in the yard and it wasn't there when he was home...so??? I like to imagine some handsome Fabio type ghost or spirit left it there as I was feeling sad that day...but with my luck, it probably was a troll! ^j^ ^j^ Joanne |

I've had a number of incidents like that, all seem to be related to my father. Never anything like a vision, but actual events that have convinced me that he is still around, and that physical death is not the end. I like to believe it's really the beginning, when we cross the threshold into the spiritual world. I'm looking forward to it! |

Strange Days, indeed....today, Dec.10,2001...Louisiana having HUGE amount of aircraft activity....much more so then usual, under any given circumstance! Thursday, is the Airbases air training day here, and we don't get this much air traffic, even on that day. I am wondering if there has been a warning or alert of some kind for this area or elsewhere in Louisiana...as fighters, warthogs, B-52's, and everything else in between, has been "patrolling" the skies since late afternoon and is on-going this evening...along with some night time chemtrails visible. Most planes are going SouthEast heading? Hmmm....Joanne ^j^ |
