The authorities are preparing to crack down on a new "spray drug" which is said to arouse increased sexual tendencies.

Pol Col Prasert Chantrapipat, of the Children, Youth and Women Protection Centre, said the drug is a combination of ecstasy, methamphetamine and a sexual arousal drug.

The sexual stimulant has apparently been sprayed into the air-conditioning systems of some pubs and discotheques in Muang district, he said.

Police would work closely with narcotics suppression authorities to stamp out the drug.

"It is widely known that some places here use sexually stimulating drugs on customers," Pol Col Prasert said.
