Red Sky this morning?

Still in the darkness, early this morning 5:30am est time, my husband called me outside to the hottub. He told me he had seen a jet flying in the sky and suddenly it took a sharp left turn and flew the other direction. Afterwards in the sky it was red. The redness was still there when i got there and it slowly faded to the right, then disappeared. My question is, is this something new or are we just seeing it? What is it? Did anyone else see it? |

Red sky at night, sailor's delight.
Red sky in the morning, sailor's take warning.

I understand where you are coming from but the sky turned instantly red as this plane went over and made a sharp turn. The red color blew to the right and disapeared. The sun comes up the other direction. This was north. quote: Originally posted by Wolf_Larson:
