News Story..wrong airport?

I just caught this story on CNN, she said a plane landed in the wrong airport (an army base airport) The pilot and crew were taken off and questioned and the people were told to close the shades and not look out the window. 3 hours later the plane (with a different pilot or crew) took off to the regular airport they were suppose to land at. What the hell? I bet we don't hear anymore about that! |

This is more proof that our heightened "security" since 9/11 is a joke.
The story reminds me of smuggling operations related to the Iran/Contra scandal. I wonder if the plane accidentally landed at the base or not.

Yes, one would think that in the wake of 9/11 with our so-called heightened security that a civilian airliner approaching a military runway without clearance would at the very least be escorted by some type of military aircraft, if not blown out of the sky completely. I guess more of our anti-terror efforts are being concentrated on forcibly removing cruise-ship passengers from their cabins in leg shackels for failing to pay fines... |
