Shadowing of Chemtrails

I have been a skywatcher for over two years now. Recently, a very strange development has began. It is ... a strange shadowing occurring behind chemtrails.
We were traveling north on I-35 through Wichita, KS on Friday, August 11 around 1:00PM.
The sky was clear with the exception of chemtrails.
In the western sky running vertically was a series of chemtrails. Behind the chemtrails was a shawdow that appeared literally from above the chemtrail extending all the way to the ground. Even beyond the length of the chemtrail.
Looking through the polarized windows of the car the shadow appeared even more vivid. When one looked through sunglasses with polarized lenses the shadow was very clear. It could not be mistaken as anything other than a shadow.
The position of the chemtrails and the position of the sun did not lend themselves to be a true shadow. The shadow was most certainly something else other than a shadow cast by the sun.
Has anyone else viewed this strange occurence? |

Yes I have seen this as well. Also I saw a chemplane spraying, that had a dark line out in front of it , that the plane seemed to be following. Has anyone seen that? I have been seeing alot of the silver ball things around here. This is just to weird and I wish I had never started seeing any of this . There is nothing I can do to stop it or even find out who or what is doing this. |

A dark line out in front of it? Please describe that in more depth.
Aircraft heading, location, altitude, time of day etc. Was the sun ahead, behind or to the side of the contrailing aircraft? What was the visibility like, any haze, water vapour, smoke etc in the atmosphere in that location? |

Falcon , sorry it took so long to get back to you. The spraying occured in Tuscaloosa Alabama. It was about 11:30 A.M. The sun was beside the plane,you know, like about even with it. I think it was flying west. I need to start using my compass when I am sky watching I guess. I do keep a log though. It was way up there, I have no way to judge the altitude really. You could just barely see that it was a plane. That was in late June or early July this year. The trails it left lasted for hours and other planes came after that one, but I didn't see the dark line out in front of all of them just three of them. I saw about eight planes spraying that day.All day.

Yeah quite often see what you describe. It's an optical illusion, created by shaddowing of the aircrafts contrail and the angle of your view. Unless of course you can come up with some other way for an aircraft to "project" it's intended flight direction.
As for there being aircraft following it. Well, it was an airway you were watching wasn't it and if you only saw 8 aircraft it's not even a busy one. |

It seems to me I remember hearing about some sort of a sky station [alien origin] orbiting the earth unseen by human eyes perhaps able to cast a shadow.If true maybe it was investigating the trails composition? |

Falcon,
I saw eight planes SPRAYING that day. I saw many other aircraft flying that were leaving NO trails. You were right though, we don't have busy airways here anyway. That is why the sprayers are so noticeable. Thanks for your input. We have been sprayed most of the week and all week-end here. I have seen many of the "rainbow" things and numerous spray planes this week-end. We've had contrail sunsets here since Thursday. |

Nola, once again I would have to see the synoptic chart for your area. "Contrail sunsets", come on, high level naturally occuring cirrus clouds.
8 aircraft "spraying", or was that just 8 aircraft flying high enough to contrail? The ones that weren't are simply at a lower level. Please supply me with actual evidence of these aircraft "spraying" chemicals.

Well said, I seen these shadows but really not until someone brought them up sometime ago....I watched a airplane make a trail two nights ago...flying into the moon....the plane was casting a shadow that was visible on the cirrus deck in front of it and in front on the plane....truly unusual to look at and yes it disappeared into the cirrus, the shadow remained until the trail dissipated....

Jay, sounds like your eyes were playing tricks with you..sunglasses should stop that sun glare.
It's been about a year ago or more now, but I saw a jet make black carbon trail. It was not the sun casting shadows. I watched as a jet flew south down the west-coastal egde leaving a pitch black carbon trail. About 10 minutes later, another jet flying in the exact path, laid a white trail on top of this black trail. Very odd looking. You could see the soot of the black trail and the white trail spread into each other.

Yeah, I've seen that quite a lot too. Tends to be older aircraft engine designs, or even B52 type of traffic. Very noticable behind C-130's, also very noticable behind a number of fighter aircraft as they drop out of afterburner. The fact that it was followed by a white contrail merely indicates that it was on an airway. Ask yourself how many old airliners fly over the US every day, leaving that kind of trail.

I have observed the "shadow-band" phenomenon on at least two occasions in the past three months. On Oct. 6/00 (very heavy spray day) at 5:55 p.m. I saw a recently laid chemtrail W to E that had a gap (on-off technique) in it as well as a dark bank running just above it and another one running just below it. Both dark bands had no gaps, just solid dark lines. Within 20 minutes these bands dissipated (or so I thought) leaving the white chemtrail to spread and join with the other chemtrails creating chemhaze. Half an hour later, I was taking a picture of the sunset and did not notice any dark band, however, when the picture was developed I clearly saw a dark band hovering just over this city of Kelowna, lower than any chemtrail I've seen so far. |
