Well...me and the boyz last night got together, and in honor of Marky and EM, decided to write and record a track called
HAIL TO THE THIEF
Now, 2 'tings:
What is a good CD track ripper?
How can I upload this nightmare so you can hear it?
EM: all the guitar parts were done on an SG, in honor of yours! Boy Howdy! |

Nevermind on the CD ripper, i gots me one!
The MP3 will be ready in a few minutes.
Now...I could put it in napster, but can we put it up here?
Be advised - septic tank - that YOU are the cause of this new song; go ahead...write another letter...the next four songs will be about CTs, I promise you. That's what happens when four pissed off musicians want to kill two hours. Recording sucks, simple tape deck, but it's all heart. |

I'll upload it and make it available.
Can't wait to hear it!
Will it be you doing all the six-string riffing? |

(git-fiddle strummin': yeah...but i was tired when we finally got around to committing it to tape. It sounds okay, but not how I would do it fresh and eager to put some good moves on it. |

Great title! Hail to the Theif
Do you do any "Rage Against the Machine"?
or maybe "MC5"?
You sound like you'd be into "The Dead Kennedy's"

No, the song is a retro-60s think piece. Rap and I have never quite seen eye to eye. My music tastes are
Beatles
Floyd
Jimi
Early Ozz (personal reason for that one)
Tool
Temple of the Dog
Nirvana
Early VH
Pearl Jam
Creed
Tantric
Dirt into Dust
Incubus
Deftones

Nsasucks---I like your musical tastes. The earlier stuff goes without saying---as for the rest Tool rocks. But you forgot Nine Inch Nails. |

Nsasucks, You are lucky you have musical talents! I love music but have no outlet for it....my singing sounds like a chicken being choked, ooops, anyway, tried playing base guitar and couldn't even get that down...can whislte, but that's about it. I like Pantera, Mettalica, Danzig, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Anthrax, Scorpions, Mozart and Brahms......must be my Mkid multiples? I like "energetic stuff' and soothing stuff...what the hey. Blessings, Joanne Mostly "head-bang" but sometimes bang my head against the wall...just kiddin. J. |

Hey, this is fun! Delphi, you are a headbanger!
I like;
The Doors (L.A. Woman)
Dire Straits (Making Movies, Brothers-in-Arms)
Rolling Stones (obviously)
Def Leppard (Armagedden it)
Foghat (Slow Ride, Fool for the City)
Duran Duran (Ordinary World, The Reflex)
Steely Dan
Tom Petty (Even the Losers)
.38 Special (Fantasy Girl)
Living Color (Cult of Personality)
Rush (Moving Pictures)
Guns 'n Roses (Welcome to the Jungle)
Clapton (everything)
Pink Floyd (On the Turning Away)
Lou Reed (Rock & Roll Animal, Sweet Jane)
... not necessarily in that order
....and a million others.
I had an electric guitar about 20 years ago, a Tiesco, which is apparently worth some $$ today for some reason. Almost bought a Yamaha the other day for lessons, but had to put it on the back burner again! Hey, maybe I should get a deFender! haha
Any suggestions for software guitar lessons? I've seen an info commercial selling one promoted by Peter Frampton.

This midi doesn't do it justice, but "Ordinary World" by Duran Duran is probably one of my top favorite songs. I also like the James Bond theme they did...View to a Kill....even though the lyrics are questionable.
