In Jesus' parable of the bushel basket and the candle he said that his intention was to remove the basket and shed light on good and evil, whereas God, in Genisis, stictlyforbids any religion or knowledge of such things.jesus intended to Illuminate our world??sounds familiar....where have I heard this before???Why would the son of god refer to his father as his god and not his father in his last dying moment(my god, my god,why have you forsaken me???Jesus sounds a lot like Lucifer to me, the two are virtually indistinguishable except in name

Bob,

I certainly think you have to have the faith of a child in order to believe in God. At least that's what Jesus said. The older we get, the more cynical we become and the harder it is for us to believe in something we can't see.

As for religion being man's creation, I have to agree. God created man...man created religion. Being "religious" isn't what faith in God is all about. Jesus had a lot to say about that, too. But, since you don't seem to think much of Him, maybe that doesn't make much difference to you.

Am I to take it that you are an Athiest? I don't think I would bother to get up in the morning if I didn't believe in God and something better than what's going on here. You have to have real guts not to believe there is a God.

As for religion being Satanic...false religion is. Guess we'll have to stick around awhile to see what's real and what's not. One thing about it, if us Christians are wrong and there is no God, it won't make much difference, will it? And, our lives will have been better for having tried to live the way the Bible tells us we should.

Do you believe in a hereafter? Again, just curious.

Bob, With all due respect, sounds like you should take the time to read the bible..
Read it prayerfully..

It's a long book, but the message has great continuity..All of your questions, doubts and the whispered lies of Satan will be dispelled by the truth..but it is a journey one must start by faith..

Here is one of the three accounts where Jesus uses the parable of the candle and the bushel..

Luk 11:33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth [it] in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.

Luk 11:34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when [thine eye] is evil, thy body also [is] full of darkness.

Luk 11:35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

Luk 11:36 If thy whole body therefore [be] full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

Concerning your question about Christ's last words on the cross, to explain simply here on this forum is not an easy task, but I will try..

The man Jesus Christ had taken the sins of the entire world upon himself at that point, and so was separated from His Father in Heaven..The once- for- all sacrifice was close to being done.

It's a difficult concept to try to explain spiritual things to those seeking to understand who are looking in from the outside such as yourself, but in a nutshell, Jesus Christ was the only begotten son of the Creator, yet for his life and ministry here on earth, he divested himself of that divine office and became as man, only TOTALLY imbued with the Holy Spirit so that any might see what His Father in Heaven was like..
All that he did and said when on earth, He did, not as 'God come to earth', but as the Word made flesh..

A man tempted in every way as we are, yet thru his obedience to His Father in Heaven, without sin..( he also did not inherit the fallen nature that all other have from Adam)

To think that Christ is like satan/lucifer is strange for me to imagine.
Inasmuch as Jesus Christ spent his ministry healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out demons, comforting the broken-hearted, battling evil and the works of satan one cannot imagine why satan would destroy his own handi-work...

Jesus Christ was also very hard on the religious jews of the day and had little to commend them for.

Concerning the bible and the jew, there is so much in the bible that is uncomplimentary to the 'chosen people', showing all their human faults and failings of the very worst sort, that even without the Spirit, a logical man should know that no group attempting to dominate and subject the world would portray themselves so..jim

Since this forum is for another purpose, I will in the future refrain from discussing religion, and I appologize to anyone offended by my remarks,I have found religion to be a most devisive issue, and feel further discussion of it may undermine my mission

Bob, I for one,am impossible to offend..

Inasmuch as this part of the forum is for 'other trails, mysteries & conspiracies', and the topic seems to be both a mystery & conspiracy to you, it would seem appropriate..

'religion' certainly can be devisive.

Personal faith and experience from truth generally has more of a 'sifting effect'..

Sincere skeptics and honest questions should always been welcome by those who know the truth on any matter..jim

Bob…no offense taken here! I enjoyed discussing with you. But, thanks for the apology. And, you are right about this not being a religious forum. I think Kneweyes’ original intent was just to bring attention to the evil intent shown in the posted agenda. She certainly got that point across! Have a good weekend guys.

BobB, I appreciate some of your posts and positons. I am also not offended by any topic including and especially religion.

You said
quote:
Religion is Satans grip on the world
One thing that has stood out to me in the past is that those very people that find it difficult to adhere to "religion" or "Chrstianity" never find it hard to adhere to the reality that evil exists. How do you reconcile one without the other? BobB, this was a good topic to open up and you should be commended for it. I believe in many "conspiracies" I don't however believe the bible to be one of them.

Let the fee exchange of ideas flow. If it doesn't appear applicable to this topic let's state one for theological discussion. That's why Freeform and Othertrails forums were established.

Well I am glad you found what I did, out of this information, mark. The picture couldn't be clearer in my eyes.
I see all the infighting about religion starting up here. Thats not the issue folks. My best friend and I agree to disagree MANY times, after the course of a heated discussion stemming from different beliefs and values. But there is more to us than our beliefs and I wouldn't trade my best bud for anyone
Who can say they know EXACTLY who and what God is? No one here on earth now, can give us a definition, of the true nature of The Creator of Beginning. There will always be different views, as many as there are different people and experiences, and we've all just got to accept we all are experiencing differently, so the journey for each individual can never be the same for his neighbor on the spiritual, or material paths in life. We have to look at each other in the eye and respect that each of us is individual, and we all have learned differently. "They" made sure of it. They made sure there would be deeply felt spiritual convictions in conflict with each other between the nations, races, genders,,, anywhere there was a slight difference to enhance.
Someday we all will know GOD , and then we shall then find out the real, whole truth... but with the false history we are now seeing being written in the logs of mankind TODAY,,, who can believe ANY of what a mans hand wrote in any book down throughout the ages. The bible (I believe) hold many truths, but has been very distorted by a mans hand. So I take from it what reasonates as truth in my heart, and I also know it is more literal (than symbolic) than most think. As for Jesus,,, Oh how I love him.. he's the greatest brother anyone could have. I believe he was someone who was really in tune with the true reality of our human abilities. He was using what is available to all of us in the secret recesses of our selves. He was trying to teach the people about this, but "They" couldnt let him show the people what "they had inside them" since they have suppressed it from the time of eden. So they killed him. I believe he was sent by GOD, to teach the people their own human strengths,, and he was the first one to actually penetrate the cocooned universe of slavery we live in and created an opening for the help we've been needing since being created as a slave race in Eden. Since then,, help has been trickling in and expanding our awareness that something is terribly wrong with our world.
It's time to acknowledge this, each and everyone of us,,, look each other in the eye, and agree to differ. Then we all have to join hands and sing Koom-by-ya together, it's our only hope. Either that or destroy each other because of our differences.
