Global warming a ruse?

I have to wonder.Are chemtrails fighting or causing global warming?If global warming is such an issue then why is the Bush administration seemingly so unconcerned?Is the spray program yielding results?What do they know that the rest of the world doesn't?It seems to me that a continuous blanket of clouds around the earth would serve to WARM the climate by preventing thermal radiation into space.Also,if the spraying is to stave off global warming then it's not working from where I sit.We have had intense spraying in the Northeast lately and on May 2,01 it was 95 degrees in Boston!We had 3 record breaking hot days in a row.The theory is that by scattering 1% of uv rays by the sun back into space will cool the planet.Whether this is true or not seems moot if the recent headlines are true that this reduction in uv brings about a reduction in the natural production of OH,which serves to buffer pollutants{including chemtrail particulates}in the atmosphere.Pollutants that destroy ozone! So,we're supposed to believe that they are fighting global warming at the ozone's peril?Well there goes the theory that chemtrails are to restore the ozone!Jeeeeez!!

The government is the least concerned about global warming. Unlike you apparently, they know it's a hoax. The UN however has used this hoax as a cover for their true purpose which is to create a unified one world government and usurp as much US sovereignty as possible.....And you criticize Bush for keeping a campaign promise and not signing the Kyoto protocol which would basically hand over US control of energy to the UN during this Clinton caused energy crisis........UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! |

Yeah, Skywatcher what the hell is wrong with you? Carbon monoxide is good for you! Why pursue alternative energy and conservation when there's still a pretty penny to be made from non-renewable resources?
And besides, have you seen what Dubya is worth these days? The VP makes him look like a pauper! Why, it's downright embarassing!

I'm the biggest proponent of alternative energy you will find, Chem. We could have a workable system of ethanol fueled cars right now, for instance. You wouldn't have to buy a new car to run it, or install a custom fuel tank. All it would take is a slight modification to the carburetor jets or fuel injector diameters. The only by-product of combustion is water vapor and it has the same (if not greater) power produced as gasoline, although the range would suffer a bit due to greater consumption.
This technology is ready to go today, and the ethanol could be produced with solar panels (for heat and distillation) and natural US products like corn, sugar and yeast.
Problem is....our entire economy is based on oil.....and believe it or not, GW had nothing to do with it…but he is advocating solutions that will prevent the United States from going into a complete depression and collapse! Why aren't you libs criticizing the pollution produced by our enemies like the communist Russian and Chinese governments (who would be exempted from the Kyoto protocol, by the way). Why aren't you critical of Klintoon who caused this crisis, by his own lack of energy policy. Why would you have us become almost completely dependent on foreign powers for our energy supply? Why would you advocate giving the UN complete control over where the United States can get it's energy, how much it could consume, and the power to fine the US taxpayer if we do not meet their arbitrary standards. This is exactly what the Kyoto treaty would do, you know.

Whoa! Where did those attacks come from? Did I state my position on NWO,Kyoto,or alternative energy sources?Apparently,the facetious tone to my post was lost on you two.One I had hoped would provoke thought,not personal attacks!I happen to hold the same views as you and am more certain about the global warming farce than I let on.I just didn't want to preach it,as I'd rather others came to the same conclusion as we have on their own.However I wouldn't go so far as to praise Bush as you seem to,Cydoniaquest,as he is just another capitalist yackie,and probably the worst enemy of renewable and free energy. What we need is more solidarity and less backbiting. |

I was partially responding to your love fest with Clinton on the other board, Sky.
Here we are in the midst of an energy crisis. I'm almost paying $2.00 at the pump for the cheapest gas here in Sacramento. GW wants to go get our available domestic oil and remove some of the EPA restrictions to carbon monoxide (that Klintoon arbitrarily imposed) and make it easier for new refineries to be built.....but noooo that's not good enough for you guys. You say he wants to poison the environment. You say he wants to make a profit off of high energy costs. Well, I'm sorry....it doesn't get any more idiotic than that. The last thing a president wants is a population of voters angered over their most visible tax (what they pay at the pump). You seem to conveniently forget that prices were well on the rise before the election because the former idiot in chief who the brain-dead populace elected twice tried to destroy this country. GW is simply trying to clean this mess up and you greenhorns start in with your socialist BS.
Gets me a little pissed....I'm sorry. |

Skywatcher-I'm with you...it doesn't even need to be a "continuous blanket of clouds", the ever-present barium haze will do quite nicely I'm sure. It is going to be a scorcher in the Southeast. We already had a Yellow ozone alert this week. May. I can't imagine how bad the air quality will be here by late summer  The haze is doing a great job of holding the pollution at ground level. Asthma and allergies are common ailments here now. Another thing that alarms me is that rubber products are deteriorating from the surface level ozone. Because of the constantly changing information about global warming, it seems almost impossible to get to the truth; But considering the toxic ingredients of jet fuel, all of those planes have got to be adding to the problem, NOT helping. |

...plenty of UV rays so we can crisper while watering the lawn

Well you're right FLKook, I guess I see a lot of the liberal element in this thing. As a radical, right wing, conservative myself, I'm very concerned about the possibility of a spray program and extremely cautious and suspicious of government. I guess I'm somewhat in the minority, as a conservative in this issue...but I loose my cool sometimes, when I see people saying how wonderful Clinton was and how GW wants to poison the environment.. and I just gotta speak up. And badda bing...it get's my blood to boiling!
