The Compleat Chicken Hawk

The New Hampshire Gazette has taken it upon itself to publish a list of those we have come to call "Chicken Hawks."
Chickenhawks are those who distinguish themselves for their loud, obnoxious saber rattling in the direction of Irag specifically and the Evil Axis and the rest of the world in general (e.g., in the form of the newly coined Enemy Combatant who could be anyone they don't like), but who have never had to face a trained, armed opponent.
The self-described "Nation's Oldest Newspaper" (TNON) has begun a Chickenhawk Database: http://www.nhgazette.com/chickenhawks.html
There one will find a list including the likes of Dubya, Karl Rove, Sylvester Stallone, Rush Limbaugh, Ken Starr, Andrew Card and so forth. They have all displayed a ravenous appetite for something they have never tasted themselves: war. For various reasons, according the TNON, such as anal cysts (Rush Limbaugh), psoriasis (Ken Starr) and just being AWOL (Dubya), when given the opportunity to participate in combat, they declined.

It behooves one to consider why it wasn't good enough for Dick Cheney THEN, but now, when his tush is safely ensconced somewhere, war can't start soon enough for him.
