The right to bear arms

Those supporters of gun control such as Michael Moore who claim moral superiority over American citizens insisting on their right to bear arms rest their claims entirely on their own willingness to practice what they preach.
The go around unarmed and do not seek to arm themselves.
But any such moral superiority is forfeited once this claim is converted into a DEMAND that others should follow one’s example.
If another person refuses to speak with me except on the condition that he is armed and I am not, I can (hopefully) either accept or refuse the invitation to dialogue on these terms.
What I am not entitled to do is to maintain the stance of moral superiority while at the same time consenting to the forcible disarmament of that person by some other agency.
