If you're not overwhelmed by conspiracy facts and hypotheses by now, this may do it for you!
Like chemtrails, this is something that the mainstream media does not seem to care about. Unlike chemtrails, I can't verify that digital angel is real, in other words, I haven't seen it, so maybe the whole website is a hoax? Maybe there is no NYSE or AMEX symbol for Destron Fearing Corp?

...there are corresponding links to chemtrail and vaccine sites that may also interest you.

Not a hoax, sorry to say. At the moment digital demon is being peddled outright to pet owners, for example. (It's a required implant for legally importing a pet through the Chunnel between England and France, as I recall.) The most important point here is that it is not illegal per se, under many circumstances, to implant this chip in human beings.
I believe there is also some use of this on a certain percentage of the prison population as well, although I am too tired to remember where that documentation is. I'll look later.
Digital demon, as you see when you look at the front page of the website, is not-even-subliminally being geared for parents of small children. "Protect your childen! Know where they are at all times! Foil abductors!" The same old fastcreeping phony trade-off between Smaller-and-Better Big Brother and "Security First". DD is also being hawked for use in the senile, the ill, and other forms of disabled and unprotesting humans. It's a real tip-off here- these target groups, isn't it? Babies, and the too weak to think straight.
The week Digital Demon went public last year with a stock offering there was a national press conference. Corporate and government flackies appeared in all their Sunday-best stuffed-suitedness to soothe a few perfunctory mutters, by means of a carefully crafted take-down of all rational protests. The usual contingent of whinging extremists from the left and right were not allowed to speak.

..."It's a real tip-off here- these target groups, isn't it? Babies, and the too weak to think straight."...
Sedona,
This phrase reminds me of something I read about those selected by "Reverend" Jim Jones, funny that the majority of the Peoples Temple victims were elderly, minorities, women and children, (found mostly on the streets of San Francisco)...always best for experimentation purposes. Jonestown, British Guayana apparently had a history of mind control/MK Ultra experimentation even prior to Jim Jones.
Also that AIDS conveniently seems to dispose of homosexuals and drug addicts, two of the most "undesireable" segments of society.
I did notice that photo on D.A. website of a loving mother and child....eerie!
Can you believe that name "Destron Fearing"?? Thats not even subliminal...sounds like something out of an L. Ron Hubbard book!

YES. The psychological mapping of the human psyche for purposes of murderous abuse is far advanced. I don't believe it is by any means further along than the positive opportunities- but human beings on the whole are not terribly inclined to pursue their own best interests vigorously. We are a harried race, spiritually speaking. I speak for myself here, and don't see that most people I know are very different. The pressures of modern existence force us to speed-walk through life, often leaving only fragmented pockets for self-development. This means that the ones spurred on by dark enthusiasms will frequently work harder at figuring out how to accomplish their goals. And at the very least they are far better organized on the physical plane: this entire civilization is the masterpiece of their organized psychological architecture.
The various cult miseries- these have always existed as a trap for the types you mention. What worries me a thousandfold more is the obvious planned obsolesence of all that is human in humanity, and the increasing substitution of technological materialization for human sensibilities and values. It's this "transfer of technology" from the objective to the subjective world, in every imaginable way, which is so truely frightening. People are becoming conditioned to accepting this in ever-more intrusive ways. And such a vast multifaceted "implant" carries with it the seeds of eventual spiritual death.

Yes, but I would think that Digital Angel (demon) would be a hard sell, even to those naive enough to believe that chemtrails are from air shows or that all UFO's are either mass hallucination or swamp gas.
I mean, artificial organs/valves, joints etc. are one thing, but who in their right mind would accept an electronic implant of the type DA is promoting? For your cat, maybe, but for a human being? But then, lots of people watch Jerry Springer and Jenny Jones and believe what they hear on the nightly news, so who knows.
The "hook" to DA is that it does seem to make sense for a child, (or someone at risk of kidnapping), that is, if it were only used for tracking purposes in the unlikely event of a kidnapping, which is what they are promoting as one(?) of its "angelic" features.
I wonder how long this technology has really been around? If we're only hearing about it now, you know its already been used on humans somewhere, prisons for sure and maybe on a large scale in the outside world;under-developed areas, (like Africa or Mexico or South Central L.A.....or Des Moines, Iowa)!
I'll have to keep following this...

Yes, this is a very important story, I think. The first mass-produced chip? Big Bad News. There are rumors, probably true, of this technology being around for quite a while. Special units of black ops use it, I have heard, and who-knows-what else.
The child "safety" issue is the great stinky camel's nose in the mass tent. You can catch almost anyone, with almost anything, using the hook of love for their children. And the ever-growing spread of so-called Alzheimer's Disease (want to bet this is really vCJD?) and all forms of slow incremental dementia and senility is the other attractive hook. "You don't want to worry that grandma fell down and is lying there in a coma do you? And yet you don't really want grandma to live with you either, do you? Voila- implant this, and keep track at all times."
Great substitute for family, isn't it? As electronics usually are, one way or another.
Not that I am not guilty of this myself, on occasion. |

Target groups is a sad part of our history during the past 100 years. But consider also that the vast majority of the human population is already targeted. For starters, the standard attempts to ram vaccines down our throats (babies are now injected within hours of being born without the parent's knowledge or asking). A drivers license is almost a required ID, as is a credit card (if you're planning to function within the current confines of our high tech sic-siety. What are we going to do when they require us to all get one of these things implanted (likely under the guise that we are too feeble to protect ourselves from ourselves)? |

Agree: we are all the target group. I'm not worried about people like us though- we are of the "over my dead body generation". But what it looks like is that the children increasingly are being grabbed even before birth, through drugging the mother and so on. Then, between vaccines, those stinking drugs given at earlier and earlier ages (Prozac to 2 year olds!!!), Unfood and Undrink, and vicious corporate "education"...an entire generation of hopelessly, helplessly passive robots is being carefully planned. Implants will be the frosting on the nasty cake. George Orwell was right about everything, near as I can tell. |

Is human chip implant wave of the future?
January 14, 1999
Web posted at: 3:21 p.m. EST (2021 GMT)
by Sam Witt
(IDG) -- Is the human body a fit place for a microchip? The debate is no longer hypothetical. The same computing power that once required an entire building to harness now can be inserted in your left arm.
Better yet, somebody else's left arm.
Professor Kevin Warwick, director of cybernetics at the University of Reading in the U.K., is that somebody else. On Monday, Aug. 24, 1998, Warwick became the first human to host a microchip. During a 20-minute medical procedure described as "a routine silicon-chip implant" by Dr. George Boulos, who led the operation, doctors inserted into Warwick's arm a glass capsule not much bigger than a pearl. The capsule holds several microprocessors.
The British Broadcasting Corp. was on hand to document the historic event - and to trouble the professor's already frayed nerves. "In theory, I was able to see what was going on," Warwick says in a phone interview several days after the operation (which he described as slightly more pleasant than a trip to the dentist), "but I was looking in the opposite direction most of the time."
Although Warwick winces at the comparison, Boulos likens him to a latter-day Edward Jenner, who injected himself with cowpox in 1776 to further his research into a smallpox vaccine.
"The doctor pinched the skin and lifted it up and sort of burrowed a hole . . . underneath the skin and on top of the muscle," Warwick says. "It's well inside my body, in my left arm, just above my elbow. [It's] held in place by three stitches - partly so that the wound is held together, but also so that the capsule doesn't float around anywhere."
Though he declines to reveal the chip's manufacturer, Warwick did disclose that it's a "commercial" product. "For obvious reasons, both positive and negative, they didn't want us shouting about what the name of the exact product was," he says.
The approximately 23mm-by-3mm device stayed in Warwick's arm for only nine days - partly to avoid medical complications, partly because it was fairly limited in power. "Half of it is an electric coil," Warwick says, "and half is a number of silicon chips." The chips used only eight of an available 64 bits of information to communicate with the University of Reading's intelligent building.
Which brings us to the question: Why?
Warwick has spent more than 20 years researching and developing intelligent buildings. "In our building in the Cybernetics department, we've got quite a number of doorways rigged up so that they pass a radio signal between the door frame," he says. "When I go through the doorways, the radio signal energizes the coil. It produces an electric current, which the chips use to send out an identifying signal, which the computer recognizes as being me."
And so, for a little better than a week, doors that normally require smart cards swung open for the professor. A system of electronic nodes tracked his movements throughout the building. Lights blinked on when he entered a room.
"Hello, Professor Warwick," his PC announced when Warwick crossed the threshold of his office, before casually mentioning how many E-mail messages he had received. It also was reported that Warwick used the device to run a bath and chill his wine.
How did he like it? "In my building I feel much more powerful, in a mental way," Warwick says. "Not at one with the computer, but much, much closer. We're not separate. It's not as though we're good friends or anything. But certainly when I'm out of the building, I feel as though part of me is missing."
Asked if he named his chip, Warwick laughs. "I don't see it as a separate thing," he says. "It's like an arm or a leg."
Warwick's family was a little slower than his body to accept the chip. "My wife finds it really strange," he says. "She didn't want to go near my arm for a couple of days. It was as though I had some funny disease." His 16-year-old daughter reportedly called him "crazy."
And the day after the operation, Warwick played a game of squash with his son, but not before issuing a stern warning: "Whatever you do, don't hit my arm. The implant could just shatter, and you'll have ruined your father's arm for life."
Real-world applications
Though the experiment sounds like an episode of Dr. Who, its real-world implications are "right around the corner," says Warwick, who foresees enormous medical applications. Through a system of embedded chips interfacing with an artificial motor system, Warwick imagines paraplegics walking. And that's just for starters.
"Simply take measurements off muscles and tendons and feed them into the transponder," Warwick says. "That means, ultimately, that you wouldn't need a computer mouse anymore. You wouldn't need a keyboard."
Charles Ostman, a senior fellow at the Institute for Global Futures and science editor at Mondo 2000, agrees. "Neuroprosthetics are . . . inevitable," he says. "Biochip implants may become part of a rote medical procedure. After that, interface with outside systems is a logical next step."
Warwick's eagerness is palpable, engaging, contagious. "This is where you can speculate," he says. "This is where we take a technical thing and say, 'Right-o, got the signal, got the implant; all I've got to do is run a wire from the implant to my nervous system.' . . . I'm so excited about it, I want to get on with the next step straight away. Let's see if we can control computers directly from our nervous system."

(There are many other stories, here are a few more.)
Part 3: Are humans being biochipped?
Are humans currently being "biochipped"?
Many rumors are "making their rounds" claiming humans are being "chipped".
According to The Word & I, rumors at Stanford University claim, "that a microchip implanted in Chelsea Clinton's neck broadcasts her location to a satellite. . ." (Craig Dees, Watching From Inside. Vol. 13, The World & I, 02-01-1998, p. 150)
Of course, as we’ve already seen, and The World & I also points out, such biochip "location" technology does not exist.
And the Oklahoma "Baby Killer", Timothy McVeigh, claims the U.S. Army implanted a computer chip in his buttocks. (I bet some of the parents whose precious babies were murdered by "Monster McVeigh" would like to "biochip" a stick of dynamite in McVeigh's buttocks, and light the fuse. To "murder" and "mutilate" innocent little babies because he's mad at the government is a sick, wicked, perverted coward.)
Killer Colin Ferguson, (whose racial hatred murdered six people on a commuter train), in a press-conference, accused the CIA of implanting a computer chip in his brain.
16 year-old Kip Kinkel, who on May 1998 murdered his parents, two students and wounded 25 students, said he was just obeying the "voices" in his head. According to Orin Bolstad, a child psychologist who examined Kinkel, the "voices" commanded, "You have to kill him. Shoot him, My dad was sitting at the (breakfast) bar. The voices said, Shoot him. I had no choice. The voices said I had no choice." After he killed his mother, Kinkel said the "voices" told him to "Go to school and kill everybody."
Bolstad said Kinkel believed the "voices" came from, "the devil, a satellite or a computer chip inserted in his head by the government." (AP Wire, Nov. 04, 1999)
In 1995, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said that young Prince William, heir to the British Throne, had a microhip implanted somewhere in his anatomy to discourage would-be kidnappers. (Texe Marrs, Project L.U.C.I.D. p. 111)
According to Electronic Telegraph (Oct. 6, 1998), Italian dignitaries, who fear kidnapping are having biochips implanted in their bodies so authorities can locate them if kidnapped. Originally designed by Israeli spy-experts, Gen-Etics is launching the "Sky-Eye" chips in Milan, Italy. The Times of London, describes "Sky-Eye" as a low-power chip that utilizes electrical energy from the human body. Gen-Etics claims, 45 of the world's richest are carrying "Sky-Eyes". When asked the "64-million-dollar" question - What prevents the kidnappers from removing the chip? Gen-Etics says, they're working on a "sure-fire" solution. Already, the chip is inserted under an anesthetic and even the implantee doesn't know where it's located. Also, the chip is only 4 mm by 4 mm, making it hard to detect via x-rays.
Conspiracy Nation (Vol. 8, No. 97) allegedly, intercepted an "official", high-level, IBM document that reports pilot-testing implants in prisoners in Texas, Massachusetts, and California. The highly-classified IBM document reports prisoners were unknown "guinea pigs" of the biochip titled "20/20 Neural Chip".
Arizona Republic (July 20, 1989, p. B1) reports of private investigator Jack Dunlap's plan to microchip and track children. The system, titled KIDSCAN, would enable the authorities to locate a missing child. Arizona Republic writes, "Each child whose parents signed up for KIDSACN would get a computer chip planted under the skin and an identification number." According to Dunbar, Pennsylvania investors were prepared to invest $600,000 and military-industrial powerhouse, Martin Marietta Energy Systems, Inc. was prepared to produce the chips. In the end, Martin Marietta backed out and Dunbar's KIDSCAN came to naught. As Parascope comments on Dunlaps' failed KIDSCAN, "The year was 1989. Perhaps the idea came before its time. But as the technology for such tracking systems continues to advance, more and more companies are eyeing the potentially lucrative human tracking market."
A very interesting and "enlightening" case recently popped up in a Worchester, Mass. court in June, 1999.
Reputed mobster, Vincent (Gigi Portalla) Marino took the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (FDEA) to court claiming they "had secretly implanted a microchip tracking device in his body two and a half years ago during surgery to remove a bullet from his buttocks."
Here’s the New York Times report on the "unusual" case:
"In an unusual case that unfolded in Worcester, Mass., last week, a reputed mobster by the name of Vincent (Gigi Portalla) Marino went to court to find out whether the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration had secretly implanted a microchip tracking device in his body two and a half years ago during surgery to remove a bullet from his buttocks.
Prosecutors first argued that the Government was not required to confirm whether it had done such a thing, but later, after a judge ordered them to respond, they said the drug agency had not implanted a microchip in Mr. Marino." (New York Times, June 20, 1999)
What made Vincent Marino believe that the government had "biochipped" him?
A FDEA agent told him! According to the New York Times report – ". . . Mr. Marino said a drug agent told him had been implanted by the Government." Marino is currently in prison, and requesting an MRI scan to check for a microchip.
Here’s the "enlightening" — and the "frightening" part:
"Intriguingly, the Federal Bureau of Investigation would not say whether it ever uses such tracking devices. ‘This is going to fall into the no-comment category,’ said a bureau spokesman, Paul Bresson. ‘It's discussing investigative techniques, and that's about akin to a journalist disclosing confidential sources. It's very sensitive.’ (New York Times, June 20, 1999)
But are humans currently being "biochipped"?
As early as 1967, author Alan Westin was "warning" the possiblity of humans being "electronically tagged". In the "bible" of "Privacy and Freedom" Westin writes:
"As the microelectronic circuits and microminiature components now available in space work and laboratory experiments filter into general use, such tags will become available in much smaller sizes, increasing still further the possibilities for secreting them in an individual's clothing or his personal and professional accessories. Receiving or scanning units will also grow more powerful and smaller, making it easier for investigators to carry them in concealed form on their persons.
. . . Invisible magnetic-ink tattoos might be applied (for example, to babies at birth) to provide permanent identification of every individual; these might possibly be used also for locating a subject. Existing microminiaturized transmitters the size of a pinhead might be coded with an identification number, enclosed in a permanent capsule, and implanted under the skin by a simple and painless surgical operation." (Privacy and Freedon, Alan F. Westin, 1967, pp. 85-86)
There is no question, biochips are "silently" inching into humans. For instance, at least 6 million medical devices, such as artificial body parts (prosthetic devices), breast implants, chin implants, etc., are implanted in people each year. And most of these medical devices are carrying a "surprize" guest — a biochip. In 1993, the Food and Drug Administration passed the Safe Medical Devices Registration Act of 1993, requiring all artificial body implants to have "implanted" identification — the biochip. So, the yearly, 6 million recipients of prosthetic devices and breast implants are "biochipped".
ADS (Applied Digital Solutions), a major player in internet e-commerce and America's 5th fastest growing technology company, recently acquired the patent rights to the "world's first human implantable digital device". The implantable device is named "Digital Angel". According to ADS, it is "the world's first digital device — implantable in humans — with applicatons in E-business to business security, health care and criminal justice. Inserted just under the skin, with maintenance-free regenerating power supply, miniature 'Digital Angel' has multi-billion dollar market potential." And according to the patent abstract, "The device is small enough to be implanted in a child, facilitating use as a safeguard against kidnapping "

If anyone could truthfully answer the question — are humans currently being "biochipped"? — it would certainly be Donald G. Small, of Hughes Identification Devices. Hughes Identification Devices is one of the pioneers and largest suppliers of biochip implants.
"We are not part of a military program to implant tags in humans. In fact, we are not part of any program to implant tags in humans, but a glass encapsulated animal tag only begs the question of the definition of what type of animal, and if that definition is a ‘mammal,’ certainly it would include man. Are there humans running around somewhere on the globe with tags — RFID tags — implanted in them? Yes! Absolutely, conclusively so."
(Mark of the New World Order video, Virtue Productions)
Listen to it
The first "verified" human receiving a biochip is the highly publicized Kevin Warwick, professor of Cybernetics at the University of Readings in the UK. Warwick received a biochip in his arm that enabled doors to open, turn on-off lights, basically a high-tech-cyber-remote-control. Warwick told ABC's Good Morning America (August 30, 1998), "People have been looking at the possibility of humans and silicon chips coming together for some time. And it seemed about time to actually have a go at it."
Would you consider having microchips implanted in your body?
Are people ready to "receive" a biochip? Is the world "tuned" to "receive" a biochip?
When the Social Security program was enacted in 1935, the public was skeptical. Most people, at first, refused to be "numbered". Less than 40 years ago, something as "seemingly innocent" as receiving a social security number was met with hesitance and alarm.
What a difference, a "quick" 40 years of credit cards, smart cards, satellitles, computers and the "information revolution" makes!
Is the public "ripe" for a biochip? http://www.souldevice.org/smartcard.html

I think some of those cowardly CONtrail-ARTIST cyberthugs (whatever their current or future handles) must have these implants already in place!
..and that's giving them the benefit of the doubt!

From the introduction of;
The State of Unclassified and Commercial Technology Capable of Some Electronic Mind Control Effects
Eleanor White, P.Eng.
April 4, 2000 http://www.raven1.net/uncom.htm ..or.. http://www.bestnet.org/~raven1/uncom.htm
Electronic mind control technology had it's start in the 1950s, as an obscure branch of the CIA's MKULTRA project group. Just as organized crime is not stopped by hearings and court cases, neither did this originally obscure branch of MKULTRA activity, when the institutional/drug/child abuse phases were exposed by the U.S. Senate's Church-Inouye hearings in the late 1970s. No criminal proceedings followed, and only two civil law suits (Orlikow and Bonacci) have succeeded.
This assembly of unclassified and commercial literature is to show investigators and concerned citizens that in spite of the tightest possible information blackout imposed in the early 1970s, enough of the classified mind control technology has leaked out to show that significant classified accomplishments are overwhelmingly likely, and in need of disclosure, here at the end of the 20th century.
It is hoped that government and media, who have shied away from this topic for decades, preferring the warm fuzzy feelings that "this can't be true", will read about the unclassified and commercial devices and understand the implications of continued turning the other way.

"Man does not have the right to develop his own mind. This kind of liberal orientation has great appeal. We must electrically control the brain. Some day armies and generals will be controlled by electrical stimulation of the brain."

Digital Angel Named Best in Show, Client Services, At Internet World Wireless Show 2001 Out of Field of 170 International Exhibitors
Judges fascinated by the potential of this device, particularly for the care of patients suffering from Alzheimer's or mental illness
PALM BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 2001-- Digital Angel Delivery System, including 24/7 physician-staffed
call-center of Medical Advisory Systems, captivates audiences
Applied Digital Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSX - news) today announced that its Digital Angel Corporation subsidiary had been named Best in Show, Client Services, at the Internet World Wireless Show 2001.
Awards were presented Thursday, February 22, as part of the four-day event running from February 20-23 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The winners were judged by a panel of writers and editors from Internet World magazine and InternetWorld.com, who spent two days on the floor carefully exploring products and services from over 170 exhibiting companies. The judges placed priority on a product's ability to work with existing standards and the degree to which it contributes to the development of future Internet products and services.
In a statement, Mercedes Walton, President and COO of Applied Digital Solutions, discussed the award: ``We have always had high expectations for the Digital Angel products. This award, is truly a validation of our faith in Digital Angel's ability to capture the imagination of the public. Consumer anticipation has translated into accelerated interest from potential partners and allies. We are eager to bring Digital Angel to the marketplace in a very timely manner. Applied Digital is extremely honored by this recognition of the Digital Angel.''
Ms. Walton continued: ``We were joined in our booth by AT&T Wireless (NYSE:AWE - news) and Medical Advisory Systems (AMEX OC - news). We are especially pleased with the response that Medical Advisory Systems (''MAS``) received. Attendees to the show were captivated by the availability of a 24/7 physician-staffed call-center as a level of service available to Digital Angel Delivery System subscribers through MAS. The combination of the Digital Angel device, in and of itself great technology, and the array of services available through the Digital Angel Delivery System is a winning combination.'' Applied Digital Solutions had previously announced that Digital Angel Corporation had agreed to acquire an interest in MAS and control of its board.
``Today's winners exemplify the high level of innovation in the emerging wireless Internet industry,'' said Internet World editor-in-chief Tony Rizzo. ``And the sheer number of quality offerings on the show floor made this a challenging task for our editorial team.''
About Digital Angel
In December of 1999, Applied Digital Solutions announced that it had acquired the patent rights to a miniature digital transceiver -- which it has named Digital Angel. Digital Angel represents the first-ever operational combination of advanced sensor technology and Web-enabled wireless telecommunications linked to GPS systems. Thanks sedona, norrin radd, n4wind.
This slipped by me in your previous post NR, I think it bears repeating;
...There is no question, biochips are "silently" inching into humans. For instance, at least 6 million medical devices, such as artificial body parts (prosthetic devices), breast implants, chin implants, etc., are implanted in people each year. And most of these medical devices are carrying a "surprize" guest — a biochip.
note: this reminds me of the elder Dr. Cameron who was one of the names connected with MK-ULTRA in Canada, who may have had a 'front' dental office for use in his experiments.
Thanks for bearing with me in this forum Thermit. I know it may have no bearing on chemtrails.
My theory about "smart dust" and the patented chemtrail generator may be way off base, but this DA/biochip coupled with non-consensual human experimentation and patents on mind control technology must have the potential to be just about the most diabolical scheme ever devised and foisted on an unsuspecting public.
To me, the parallel to a possible threat from chemtrails and denial by public officials mirrors the still mostly unknown (to the public) territory of both these technogical "wonders", as in I "wonder" what the hell they are really doing with these things!>... i.e.; biochips and chemtrails.

New computer chip hailed as "end of death"
by Jim Marrs
http://www.alienzoo.com/features/m/200103010001.cfm
Remember those people who claimed that aliens abducted them and implanted devices behind their eyes to record all of their experiences?
Some Earth scientists now claim they are perfecting the science which would duplicate such alien devices. Better yet, the recorded impressions could be transferred to someone else, even an infant.
It was recently reported by London’s Daily Telegraph that Dr. Chris Winter of British Telecom (BT) announced that his team of scientists are working on a computer chip which can be implanted behind a person’s eye which would record every experience, thought, and feeling of the subject.
"This is the end of death," claimed Dr. Winter. "By combining this information with a record of the person’s genes, we could recreate a person physically, emotionally, and spiritually."
Dr. Winters headed an eight-scientist team at Martlesham Heath Laboratories near Ipswich, England, which is owned by British Telecom.
Called the "Soul Catcher 2025," this tiny recording chip would make a continuous record of its carrier’s life experiences. For those bored with reality TV, these scientists claim that it would be possible to relive another person’s experiences by playing back the chip on a computer.
"An implanted chip would be like an aircraft’s black box and would enhance communications beyond current concepts," said Dr. Winter.
He predicted that perfection of the "Soul Catcher" chip may occur within three decades and could be used to place a dead person’s lifetime of knowledge and experience into a newborn baby.
This entire concept of transmitting personal information from person to person is based on calculations of the amount of data passed to the brain by the optic nerves, skin, tongue, ears, nose and other tactile body parts. According to BT’s official futurist, Dr. Ian Pearson, more than an 80-year life span, a person processes 10-terrabytes of such data.
Start clearing out your garage because this would be the equivalent of 7,142,857,142,860,000 floppy disks, estimated Dr. Pearson.
But he remained optimistic about the possibility of technology reaching such capacity. "If current trends in the miniaturization of computer memory continues at the rate of the past 20 years, a factor of 100 every decade," he said, "today’s 8-megabyte memory chip norm will be able to store 10-terrabytes in 30 years."
Theoretically, once 10-terrabytes of data can be stored in a chip even smaller then those available today, it would be possible to transfer a person’s entire lifetime of experiences into a human clone or newborn baby, or perhaps be transmitted out into space.
Perhaps by mid-century, some being in the Sirius star system can be experiencing the stress of an IRS audit, the depression of a messy divorce, and wonder at the humor of "I Love Lucy."
Dr. Winter conceded that the "Soul Catcher" chip will entail "profound ethical considerations" and obviously could be a double-edged sword. "For example," he said, "police would be able to use it to relive an attack, rape, or murder from the victim’s viewpoint to help catch the criminal."
But it also could be implanted without a person’s consent, either as a court sentence or surreptitiously during routine surgery, and present the ultimate source of private information to a Big Brother state.
"I could even play back the smells, sounds, and sights of my holiday to my friends", he added, clearly demonstrating the drawbacks to such a chip.
