uhhh...sparky...if he turns off the system restore...and gets the virus and crashes his machine he will loose all data...including software that may have cost him plenty...bad idea...
virus protection checked daily,a good firewall, close all unnecessary ports, and don't let any program act as a server...

seeker - it comes right from the symantec website. So Conspiracy Man I am not telling you anything wrong. I have run the procedure on over 50 PC's and found the original procedure (given to me from so-called experts) had the restore step not included. I have seen the worm reappear because of this and taken care of it.
