Wow ! look at all those X's and grid patterns !
From what I understand, the only difference between the pro edition and the personal , is real time weather data.... and you can use the ADDS link I gave you for weather, and it is basically the same thing...so I've heard...
Sorry about getting testy earlier, I did not post twice .
I done this a few times....I know how to post..I swear !

Thermit, did you notice any non-dissipating chemtrails today that also showed up on your Flight Explorer?

All Right! In no time at all, you'll be able to look at GOES 8 and say, "It looks like it will be a contrail day!" Early mornings are best to watch before traffic gets too heavy. Wait til you see it at Noon!
Be sure and keep a journal as you watch them lay the trails. Good Luck and have fun.

It's easier to track them in the morning before the sky is hazed over. The early morning contrails are the first of the day and can be seen with the dawn here, planes coming from the east, turning at Indianapolis headed for St. Louis. I've captured photos where they appear to be flying together, even 4 and 5 at a time. But they are flying different altitudes, different speeds, and usually not more than 2-3 minutes apart.
By watching the Goes8 satellite yesterday, I predicted we would have trails here today and sure enough, this morning by 11:00AM the sky was hazed over.
THERMIT: How did you get the FE screen to past over like that?

1. Setup FE for picture.
2. Use imaging software and do a screen grab.
To make it easy, you can send it to me and I'll do the rest of the steps...

So, Thermit how goes the study of the US airways system then?
Do you really think the "Chemtrailers" are actually going to show up on this thing?! |

Thanks! Thermit. Since FE updates every 2-3 minutes, I thought people would like to see what I'm watching in that 2-3 minute window. This shot is from my journal, Oct 30, 2000 at 9:40AM, showing central and northern Indiana and western Ohio.
key: aqua planes are high altitude (CORRECTION - High AND low altitude flights)
aqua lines are high altitude airways
yellow lines are low altitude airways
red planes are arrivals
lat/long are indicated
Someone asked me recently the value of FE? IMHO, I'd pay alot more for it to know I wasn't being "sprayed."

I do beleive those are MOA's, bit I have all those checked off on the filter, I will go back and change it to just MOA's. I have to use the ADDS weather page to determine weather conditions, i.e. icing, turbulence but mainly use that for rh.
If you think that's alot of planes, heck that was a Wednesday. Mondays and Thursdays are incredible. If I adjust it to show tracking history like Thermit did above, I wouldn't be able to read the screen.

One thing I will learn is who is up there, I am 200 miles from any populated area larger than 40,000...
Post a pic deb of one of those 'busy' days, but size it ...please! some of these photos size are requiring me to scroll left to right to read posts !
Ack !
