What a world we live in today, eh? Where a benign offhand comment runs you the risk of being incarcerated as an 'enemy-combatant'. What degree are you working towards by the way? You mentioned in a different thread that you had a parent with a disability, is it getting too personal to ask what? I did a stint teaching adaptive skiing and rock climbing for disabled- most rewarding work I've ever done.
Hey Halva- the Shield Project is getting flogged in other threads and sites. You still standing behind it? I'm still undecided on it. I don't have the background in aeronautics and meteorology to say either way, and I don't necessarily think that I trust Will Thomas' analysis on anything. |

Graeme.. I haven't figured it out yet. Something that will be useful for my career and something I can fall back on if that falls through.
Havla.. Nobody expects you to actually back down from anything on this site, regardless of how incorrect it is.
The Shield Project is just another conflicting piece of garbage in the whole conspiracy.. How do you people stick together and constantly agree when you all think the conspiracy is being carried out in different ways, for different reasons, by different people. Face it: None of you know what is really happening, I'll bet some of you will say so your selves, just that whatever is happening is 'wrong'. Evil trails.
As for the "Smoking Gun", it's anything but that.. An interesting research project on the bottom, but nothing else but speculative crap beyond.

Halva-
There's no links that are influencing my view on the Shield Report. So much of what he says in it is over my head that I can't comment on it intelligently. When I come across things like that, I try to remain on the outskirts of believing it. I can't discount it either. It sounds real, but I don't know. My curiosity is piqued though. Which is Brian Conway's "Smoking Gun"? |

Now I know what Conway's piece is. I'd like to read more about it. If it's documented stuff, which it seems like it is, I don't know how the idea of dispersing particulates in the atmosphere can be discounted. Doesn't prove chemtrails are real, but the idea is getting kicked around in the scientific community. That's not the only piece I've read on the concept. |

I see identical phenomena over cities: Athens, Thessaloniki, Ancona, Bologna, but not away from them: not over the Adriatic, not over the island of Andros.

Mr. Thomas is carefully picking and choosing his sources - any and all who are willing to stick out their neck are acceptable. Those who do not and choose to remain anonymous he will discard.
The funny thing is that he relies upon the official news and official sources for information on the matter. Surely if there is a cover-up the government or whom ever would feed out false data.
How can we be certain that a rise in UV of X amount has taken place? How can we know if the depletion of ozone is more or less than what is reported?
We rely upon the information provided by others who have studied and know how to read all those graphs, sensors and other things which make it possible for us to "see" UV and Ozone Holes.
Mr. Thomas' rebuttle did little to provide proof either way in the matter. If anything, we find that he has given validation to some of the things written in the Sheild Letters.

One issue that deserves discussion is the legal aspects of geo-engineering activity and opposition to it.
The municipal council of Aigina in Greece has taken out a lawsuit "against any party responsible for carrying out, according to information in the press, dangerous aerial spraying over Aigina in the framework of experiments for dealing with the greenhouse phenomenon".
They were advised that there is not enough evidence of such spraying to justify legal action and it was suggested that they should abandon their suit.
This may take us to one of the reasons for the secrecy underlying the Shield Project and the resort to denial that it is occurring. If one admits that the spraying is taking place does it have to be justified in the name of "national security", the greater good of humanity, or what? What can justify the damage to individuals' property and health if such damage is being caused?
In the past I suppose "national security" has been the catchall excuse for governments harming and even killing their own citizens.
But hardly anybody could agree that this is an appropriate category for a programme supposedly addressing problems of environmental deterioration.
On the other hand if one agrees that the programme does not fit into this category and (because there is no legitimately acknowledged 'enemy') should in the public domain and openly discussed, one seems to come up against insurmountable legal problems.
I have the impression that the Will Thomas, Carnicom, etc. sectors of the campaign against secret spraying are not facing this issue. Their objective is to used existing mechanisms of government and law to stop the spraying. Thus Thomas's support for one of the current presidential hopefuls.
