What did I see?

I have been seeing the grids overhead for a while but last week I saw something new, to me anyway. I thought at first it was a thunderhead but looking closer I knew it was phoney but unlike any clouds I'd seen thus far. Small puffs on the bottom three or four layers then they went into finger like threads which fanned out and got wispy then the whole thing went flat and the sky was covered in no time. Oh and in the beginning the bottom of the thing had a bright pink and green glow turning to grey and they whole thing only took about 20 minutes. |
