First cloned baby will be born next January in Belgrade, in some Serbian family. This was announced yesterday afternoon by Italian news agency ANSA, citrating the Belgrade weekly NIN that has published the interview with Italian gynecologist, Severino Antinori.
Identity of parents was not published, so this maybe are not Milosevic's, although this premise could seem acceptable, but it is stated that the operation has taken place in a private clinic for artificial insemination "Papic" in Belgrade. This clinic is one of the best equipped clinics of such kind in the world.
In his interview Antinori insists that he has implanted cloned implants in three women (each in corresponding county).

ANSA has reached Antinori yesterday in late afternoon and has published his new declaration. "I do not want to make any statement to anybody. I did not give any statement to anybody during the last 15 days". On the other hand Belgrade weekly insists that it has a tape of the interview.

In his interview Antinori fatherly states that apart from the first one, next two more cloned babies will be born in February and March. He says that, as far as he is alive, only he and his team will know the method of insemination required, so the improper manipulations will be not possible.
Antinori is artificial insemination specialist thanks to whom 50.000 babies were born. He claims that he has helped many participants of Gulf War to have children, and that they were not only from Iraq, but also from US, England and France.
According to him, after the US bombardments during the Kosovo war, infertility in Serbia is estimated to have reached between 40 and 73%.
He claims that he will clone babies only if the case when the man is totally sterile.
