David, thanks for your help..!
PHXPilot do you know where I can find other photos of these aircrafts dumping fuel from the wingtips ?
And WHY they must dump fuel ?
I mean, is this exhaust?

Lots, ill post some links here in a second.
And WHY they must dump fuel ?
Most aircraft, especially larger ones, have a maximum landing weight that is considerably less than its maximum takeoff weight. If the aircraft, for whatever reason, needs to land soon after takeoff, then it will need to dump fuel to lose weight so it will not land overweight. The aircraft in the photo is probably dumping fuel just for observation or training purposes.
I mean, is this exhaust?
Nooooo, its fuel.

uhhhh, explain what you mean a little more. I hardly think it is a fake picture, nothing on it gives me that impression. And it does seem to be generating vortexes off the wingtips.
Is that odd to you? |

for starters there's no airforce insignia on the right-rear side of the body...
we have vortices displayed...and it's not descending...so it almost has to be rising judging from the fuel plume being below the rear tail section...no contrails ? or soot from acceleration ?
it has a tilt right (so do I) the rear wings show more evidence of this than the larger ones...however the main section appears to have little tilt...there's some shadow stuff there (invert the color)...it's brighter on the side of no sun than where the sun is implied to be...
there's more but I'm sure those are good enough to start phx....
the photo looks fake to me and it is...

I believe this is a US Navy TACAMO. The Navy does utilize the E-6.

I dont quite understand most of that. The photo seems to be taken from below and slightly to the right of the E-6, with the sun located low-ish off to the right as well.

The location of the "stars and bars" on the aircraft is too far on top of the fuselage and cant be seen from the angle of the photo.
Trust me, I know plenty about Photoshop, Ive won several photoshop contests on several websites. |

hmmm I could parse words and ask you why you didn't understand what I was saying if you knew so much about photshop...
but I'm finding obvious incorrect opinions lately to be a waste of time...all I can say is that you should find the original photo not a bootlegged one on a foreigners website and take another look...
I've had this argument before and my opinion is still the same a few years later...

Have I access to any other photos of an E-6 dumping fuel? I severely doubt I could find any. There arent many photos of aircraft dumping fuel in general since it is such a rare occurance, and the small amount of TACAMOs means that E-6s have dumped fuel probably just a few times in history.
But I still fail to see why you think the fuel streams are fake. Ive talked to some E-3 AWACS pilots (somewhat similar to the E-6) and they said that they fuel vents are located underneath the fuselage (as shown in the photo) because of the lack of room in the wingtips. It seems like a 100% real photo of an E-6 TACAMO dumping fuel.

until I see another...it's a bogie for me...
you know I have to maintain the same standards for jet photos as I do for chemtrail / contrail photos...c'mon...
as a matter of fact I find that photo as odd as this [url=http://airliners.net/open.file?id=068827&WxsIERv=Qm9laW5nIDc0Ny00Mzg%3D&WdsYXMg=UWFudGFz&QtODMg=U3lkbmV5IC0gS2luZ3Nmb3JkIFNtaXRoIEludGVybmF0aW9uYWwgKE1hc2NvdCkgKFNZRCAvIFlTU1 kp&ERDLTkt=QXVzdHJhbGlhIC0gTmV3IFNvdXRoIFdhbGVz&ktODMp=RmVicnVhcnkgMTksIDIwMDA%3D&WNEb25u=RnJhbmsgU2NoYWVmZXI%3D&xsIERvdWdsY=VkgtT0pC&MgTUQtODMgKE=IEV2ZXIgbm90aWNlZCB0aGF0IE9KQidzI GJlbGx5IGFsc28gcGFpbnRlZCBvbiB0aGUgdW5kZXJzaWRlID8%2FPyBBbmQgaWYgaXQncyBub3QgdGhlIHVuZGVyc2lkZSBpdCBhaW4ndCB0aGUgYmVsbHkgLi4uLi4gbW1oaC4uLi5tYWtlcyBzZW5zZSA%2FIEkgZ2l2ZSB1cCAhISE%3 D&YXMgTUQtODMgKERD=Mjk2&NEb25uZWxs=MjAwMC0wMi0yMg%3D%3D&static=yes]one ![/url]

Man, you confuse the heck out of me seeker
I cant tell whether you are seriously doubting the validity of the QANTAS 747 photo, or if your just being sarcastic.
Well, if your being serious, the QANTAS photo is real, as are the thousands of other photos of that aircraft. |
